The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 143: Chapter 142: An Utterly Nasty Guy

Rong Ling was actually so weak that he wanted to sleep, but whenever he thought of Feng Qing throwing him to the ground, he couldn’t control the anger in his heart. That woman caused trouble and didn’t know how to make amends, and she even ran away, ran away?

Thinking of this, Rong Ling felt his blood boiling with anger, and no matter how he couldn’t fall asleep, he stubbornly held onto his breath, wanting to see Feng Qing.

When he finally saw Feng Qing, Rong Ling couldn’t hold back his anger any longer: ”Feng Qing, do you think that just because you’re the person who saved my life, I, the Prince, can’t do anything about you?”

Seeing Rong Ling’s fierce and cold expression, Feng Qing knew he was really angry. To be honest, the reason she could stand here unharmed and speak was because she had saved Rong Ling’s life. Without this favor, if she dared to throw Rong Ling to the ground, she would have been dragged out and flogged to death long ago.

But even if she had the favor of saving his life, it wasn’t a capital she could act recklessly with.

Feng Qing understood this very well, so when she saw Rong Ling angry, she immediately apologized submissively: ”Your Highness, please don’t be angry, I was wrong.”

Before Rong Ling could speak, she took the initiative to help him lie down, gently persuading him as she assisted him.

”Your Highness, your health isn’t good, you should sleep early. Whatever it is can wait until tomorrow when you wake up.”

Rong Ling was indeed exhausted, and coupled with Feng Qing’s submissive apologies and coaxing,

the anger in his heart finally subsided a lot. However, before falling asleep, he still ordered angrily: ”Tonight, you stay here and keep watch properly. If I find out you ran away or fell asleep, tomorrow I will settle both new and old scores with you.”

Feng Qing quickly nodded: ”Yes, yes, Your Highness, don’t worry, I will definitely guard you. If Your Highness wants to drink water or anything during the night, just command.”

Rong Ling finally said no more, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.

On one side of the room, Nan Feng and Nan Xuan watched in astonishment. So, the Princess Consort with just a few words managed to soothe the Prince and even got him to sleep. All their efforts earlier to calm the Prince were in vain. Is this a case where one thing just naturally conquers another?

While they were pondering, Feng Qing turned to them and instructed: ”Alright, I will keep watch tonight. You all go and rest.”

Nan Feng, Nan Xuan, and the others responded and bid Feng Qing goodnight before leaving. Si Qi and Si Hua wanted to stay with Feng Qing to keep watch, but Feng Qing shook her head and said, ”It’s okay, you all go to sleep. I can keep watch.”

The two maidservants said no more and left. Outside the house, Nan Xuan and a few guards were keeping watch, and Si Qi and Si Hua, seeing that everything here was well-secured, went off to sleep.

In the room, seeing that everyone had left, Feng Qing slowly sat down by Rong Ling’s bedside to guard him.

Tonight, she indeed caused some trouble, so she might as well watch over him properly. If she slept, who knows how this guy would deal with her if he woke up.

But Feng Qing had been sleeping well before, and now she was feeling extremely sleepy. Just keeping watch like this, she felt truly drowsy.

So she got up and poured a cup of strong tea to hold in her hands, sipping whenever sleepiness surged over her, in an attempt to dispel the drowsiness. However, as time dragged on, even the strong tea lost its effectiveness.

Meanwhile, the man on the bed slept soundly, which made Feng Qing feel even more drowsy. She forced herself to keep her eyes open, staring at the sleeping man on the bed. He was peaceful, beautiful, without a trace of fierceness, like a pleasing painting.

But in truth, this guy was exceedingly nasty. Hmph, clearly she had saved him, yet he still treated her like this, despicable.
