The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 128: Chapter 127: The Wheel of Fortune Turns

Feng Qing remembered that Rong Ling’s Furong Drunk hadn’t been completely detoxified, and on top of that, he hadn’t eaten anything these past two days due to the poisoning and injuries. His body was already weak, so he couldn’t go without eating anything.

”Nan Feng, first decoct a bowl of the antidote for Furong Drunk and bring it in. Once he drinks this bowl of medicine, your Prince’s poison will be cured, and in the future, he just needs to take care of his body. If you can find Dragon Marrow Jade, his body can fully recover in just a month.”

”By the way, he hasn’t eaten anything for a long time, so cook a bowl of plain congee.”

Nan Feng responded and left: ”I will go prepare the medicine and cook the porridge.”

Nan Xuan walked to the door and said: ”I will stand guard outside the door. If the Princess Consort needs anything, just call me.”

Soon, only Rong Ling and Feng Qing remained in the room. Rong Ling, due to a lack of energy, almost fell asleep.

However, Feng Qing didn’t want him to fall asleep, as he needed to take his medicine and drink the congee. So she approached Rong Ling’s bed, intending to talk to him and keep him awake.

But when she got to the bedside and saw the man lying there, soft and without the slightest resistance, her hands grew itchy, thinking of the bullying she endured from him before he got injured.

Feng Qing’s anger flared up, and she couldn’t control her hand as it reached out to pinch the man’s cheek.

Afraid he would suddenly wake up, she carefully pinched him once.

She pinched him and then withdrew her hand, checking if the man on the bed showed any reaction.

Seeing that he was unresponsive, she pinched him again and withdrew her hand to continue observing.

After pinching twice without seeing any reaction from him, Feng Qing grew bolder and extended her devilish claws once more, pinching twice with a little more force.

Haha, you used to bully me, but who would’ve thought you, Rong Ling, would fall into my hands one day. It truly is a case of the wheel of fortune turning.

Feng Qing continued to pinch him, seemingly becoming addicted to it, and marveled at how the touch felt exceedingly good, even smoother than a woman’s skin.

Looking closely, there wasn’t a single visible pore on his face. It was so white and tender, with long and dense eyelashes, a high nose bridge, and slightly thin lips. This face was truly perfect, as if intricately painted.

Even though he was injured, it didn’t mar his appearance at all. Lying there quietly, he looked like a transcendent being from outside this world.

Feng Qing attempted to find some flaw in his face but couldn’t, and her hand transitioned from pinching to caressing—his brows, eyes, nose, mouth, chin, were all exquisite.

As Feng Qing got absorbed in her admiration, the man on the bed suddenly opened his dark eyes. The originally quiet figure suddenly came alive.

His deep and cold eyes fixed on Feng Qing.

Feng Qing’s hand was still on his cheek, causing her a moment of intense awkwardness, and she slowly pulled it back with a dry laugh.

”Haha, I was afraid you’d fall asleep, so I gave you a little tap to try and wake you up?”

The man’s eyes remained deep, dark, and inscrutable, but his expression softened somewhat, and his words were spoken with a mild tone.

”Were you pinching this prince to get back at me, or were you taking advantage of me?”

As he spoke, Feng Qing’s smile faltered. What did he mean by ’taking advantage’? She was clearly getting back at him, but it wouldn’t do to admit it. Feng Qing felt uncertain and wondered if she was teasing a tiger. Right now, the tiger was sick, but once he recovered, would he hold it against her?

So how should she save herself? Feng Qing quickly thought on her feet and said with a beaming smile, ”Actually, I was just amazed by how good-looking you are and wanted to see how your face grew like this?”

As she finished speaking, she seriously studied Rong Ling’s exquisite face and exclaimed, ”This face is just too perfect. A bit more would be too much; a bit less would be too little. There’s nothing that’s not beautiful, nothing that’s not delicate. The heavens are really unfair.”
