The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 109: Chapter 108: The Prince Seems to Care About the Princess Consort

Nan Feng paced in, looking disapprovingly at Feng Qing, as he had heard from outside earlier that the Princess Consort kept provoking the Prince.

The Prince is currently unwell; shouldn’t the Princess Consort speak more gently? Honestly.

Rong Ling had already ordered in a deep voice, ”Help me back to the front courtyard, immediately.”

Nan Feng was about to say something, but Rong Ling’s eyes were sternly fixed on Nan Feng, making him dare not say more. He immediately stepped forward to support Rong Ling to get up and assisted him all the way out.

As they were leaving, Rong Ling threw out a sentence before departing: ”As the Princess Consort, you ought to know what it means to stop before going too far.”

Feng Qing was so angry that her face was as black as the bottom of a pot, and she stood with her hands on her hips, glaring angrily at the departing figure.

What does it mean to know when to stop? She just wants to leave, that’s all. Why are there so many issues? Besides, does he have any sense? She is his savior, his savior, understand?

Unfortunately, Rong Ling had already left. Outside, Si Qi and Si Hua walked in, both with slightly cautious expressions, as the Prince and Princess Consort had just been arguing.

However, they also knew that the Princess Consort couldn’t leave just yet.

Si Qi and Si Hua couldn’t help but speculate whether the Prince didn’t want the Princess Consort to leave, and that’s why they had argued.

Feng Qing angrily ordered the two maidservants, ”Change these, change all of these, and also these, change them all.”

”Yes, Princess Consort.”

Rong Ling left in a huff because of Feng Qing, but Feng Qing finally returned to her own room, her demeanor refreshed, not even bothering to think about the enraged Rong Ling.

Seeing her refreshed expression, Si Qi and Si Hua secretly breathed a sigh of relief and served her as she washed up.

After washing up, Feng Qing was about to go to bed when, unexpectedly, Nan Feng brought people over from outside.

Si Qi came in to report, ”Princess Consort, the Prince ordered Nan Feng Guard to deliver two chests of items for you.”

Originally, Feng Qing didn’t want to pay attention, but on second thought, since they had brought them over with great effort, she decided to take a look. She put on her clothes and walked out of the room. Outside in the flower hall, Nan Feng instructed two guards to open two not very large but not very small chests.

Feng Qing walked out and saw what was in the chests. One chest contained jewelry, and the other contained silver.

Feng Qing was stunned, though she usually wasn’t keen on these, she couldn’t help but feel moved. She walked over, touching this and that, and her mood improved significantly, even looking at Nan Feng with a more pleasant expression.

”These are for me?”

”Yes, Princess Consort. The Prince said that the Princess Consort had suffered a grievance earlier, so these are compensation for the Princess Consort. These are from the Prince’s private treasury.”

At this moment, Feng Qing wasn’t even thinking about the compensation, she just beamed and said, ”Alright, thank your Prince for me.”

Nan Feng looked at Feng Qing’s expression, seeing her genuinely happy, so he respectfully stepped back.

After Nan Feng left, he glanced back at the room behind him, thinking of his Prince. Although excessively provoked earlier to the point of death, after lying down for a while, he still ordered from his private treasury to have the two chests of items sent over.

The Prince, perhaps, indeed has some affection for the Princess Consort, otherwise why would he send things over?

In the flower hall, Feng Qing happily reached into the chest to take out jewelry to look at, including many hairpins, jade pendants, hand strings, bracelets, gem necklaces, and so on.

Feng Qing was delighted as she picked out two sets of red gold hairpins inlaid with gems, one set with rubies and the other with agates.

”Here, these two are for you. You’ll look beautiful wearing them.”
