Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Bang!”

Several large demon race corpses were thrown down, and then a dense crawling sound echoed within the cave.

In the dim light inside the cave, various ants on the ground were like layers upon layers of wriggling carpet, completely filling the entire hole.

Countless in number...

...

”Snap!”

The thick bone whip struck the ground heavily, and immense power gouged out a hideous crack in the ground!

”Hurry up! You...”

Midway through his words, the member of the Ancient Demon overlord squad wielding the bone whip shut his mouth obediently, silencing his repeatedly barked orders.

Because countless cold eyes, like sharp swords, stabbed at him in unison.

Sensing the inexplicable pressure around him, the Ancient Demon turned his tone, forcing a smile and cracked the whip again: ”You... warriors... uh, for the Demon Tribe!”

The final loudly shouted slogan seemed weak, but fortunately, the slogan ”for the Demon Tribe” was still effective. At least, those fierce eyes surrounding him gradually moved away.

The Ancient Demon exhaled a heavy breath.

As a member of the overlord squad, countless cannon fodder had passed through the hands of the Ancient Demon, yet this cannon fodder was somewhat unusual.

Cannon fodder were naturally soot skin demon fiends, but when had the Ancient Demon ever seen a cannon fodder squad with an average level of five? This wasn’t cannon fodder! This was the elite! A specialized unit formed by ten super tribes of soot skin demon fiends!

Looking back at the enormous, dragon-like winding troop behind him, the Ancient Demon couldn’t help quickening his pace.

This mission made the Ancient Demon feel uneasy.

The demonic clan military operation occurring here wasn’t an isolated case; at the same time, innumerable soot skin demon fiends poured out from the Demon Realm’s Gate of various sizes erected across the African continent. They formed ranks at the Demon Realm’s Gate and then, under the guidance of the Ancient Demon overlord squad, quickly assembled at predetermined gathering points.

Like rivers flowing into the sea, a vast demon army gradually formed and then spread out like a massive net under the orders of the Demonic Clan Front Command, tightly ensnaring the New Hope Assembly Place in central Africa.

...

Above the African continent, the Sky Eye System belonging to the Earth Community diligently carried out its function. The Sky Eye System couldn’t clearly detect the movements of the small number of elite demon tribe units; however, such a large-scale military mobilization could not escape the Sky Eye.

One report after another was sent to Wen Yu’s hands. Looking at the detailed demon tribe march route maps on the tablet and the tactical conjectures sent by the Earth Community’s combat research office, Wen Yu picked up the wine glass on the table and drank down its contents in one gulp.

”They are absolutely confident of taking me down...”

Wen Yu’s eyes gleamed with fierce intensity, and he glanced down at the intelligence on the tablet again.

The Earth Community’s speculation was straightforward—the demon tribe’s target was the New Hope Assembly Place. The deployment of the main force was directed there.

The Earth Community’s suggestion was also simple—abandon the African continent and evacuate quickly. If that wasn’t possible, then abandon the New Hope Assembly Place, leading some mutant creatures with strong maneuverability to engage in guerrilla warfare against the Demon Tribe.

Such conventional troops couldn’t trap a powerful expert like Wen Yu. Additionally, with the teleport channel of Eternal Sky City, typically, even when the demon tribe advanced to Wen Yu’s front, Wen Yu could easily leave without a trace.

However, Wen Yu had compelling reasons to fight, reasons he couldn’t ignore even if he wanted to protect the New Hope Assembly Place!

Wen Yu’s special purpose in Africa, whether the Earth Community knew it or not, was clear from the demon tribe’s military movements that the demon tribe knew well.

It was imaginable that the demon tribe would surely use this as leverage to manipulate Wen Yu harshly!

His power brought him fame and status, but also attention and scheming. Just as there is shadow wherever there is light, the dual nature of things at this moment presented Wen Yu with considerable trouble.

Thinking of this, Wen Yu gently rubbed his cheek, pondered for a moment, then took out his communication device.

Wen Yu planned to give Lin Haifeng a heads up and hear Lin Haifeng’s perspective on this matter—when it came to thinking strategies, Wen Yu had to admit he needed external help...

...

Amid an oppressive and silent atmosphere, three days slipped by.

As dawn broke with a sliver of white light on the horizon, the sound of horns echoed from numerous demon tribe barracks surrounding the New Hope Assembly Place as the center.

”Woo～”

”Woo～”

”Woo～”

The desolate and deep sound enveloped the African continent, causing the entire land to boil!

One demon fiend after another emerged from tents, ready to deploy under their commanders’ leadership, one army after another completed equipment checks, left their camps, and one war machine after another was pushed out of the equipment warehouse by the Demon Tribe, merging into the demon tribe tide gathering bit by bit!

No concealment, no need for tactics. Once everything was ready, what remained was just to crush everything in front!

The Sky Eye System faithfully fulfilled its mission—from the sky, the New Hope Assembly Place turned into a small island in the palm. Around the island, waves of demon tribe flooded it completely.

Trapped in a desperate situation.

No way to escape.

This moment for the New Hope Assembly Place, it seemed so pitiable...

”Woo, woo, woo...”
