Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

To the west, according to the intelligence from the Death Harbinger Raven, it’s the territory of that huge wild bull known as the Barbarous Tyrant.

Victor was assigned this area by Wen Yu.

The power of the Netherworld is evident to all; this super ability that combines detection, combat, and concealment is enough to ensure Victor’s actions are unstoppable.

Looking at the oasis ahead filled with a dense pack of brown long-horned mutant beasts, Victor quickly devised a solution to handle the situation.

Traceless (S-class, Active Ability) activated.

The Traceless ability, though only S-class, combined with Victor’s strong physical attributes, guarantees the stealthiness of Traceless.

His black body gradually faded until it disappeared, and then a few light footprints quickly appeared on the sand, forming a straight line that rapidly approached the oasis.

...

As Victor drew closer to the center of the oasis, the aura of the divine beast became more pronounced.

In stealth mode, it didn’t take Victor long to identify the aura of the Barbarous Tyrant...

Barbarous Tyrant... Tyrant... Overlord...

Victor was already too lazy to ridicule this catchy nickname; perhaps because of the name, he didn’t have a good perception of the Barbarous Tyrant.

So, Victor planned to use the simplest and most brutal method to complete the task assigned by the boss!

The Netherworld quickly activated, with secret energy fluctuations spreading everywhere; after two consecutive teleportations, Victor suddenly landed on a brown-black land above the oasis’s lake.

The cat has always been the epitome of agility and swiftness, as a species of divine beast, Victor naturally embodies this, and his soft paw pads provided excellent cushioning for his landing, a simple movement without causing any ripples.

Feeling the softness beneath his feet, Victor stepped down hard twice.

The ground beneath him shook a few times, and a spiritual fluctuation emanated from below, quickly sweeping over the entire lake before settling down again.

It didn’t find anything...

Yes, this massive entity resembling an island in the lake is none other than the physical form of the divine beast species wild bull known as the Barbarous Tyrant!

With an enormous size like an island, if not for sensing the aura fluctuations belonging to the divine beast species, Victor couldn’t imagine the physical form of the Barbarous Tyrant was so colossal!

However, size is size, combat power is combat power; strictly speaking, there’s no direct connection between the two.

No matter how big the Barbarous Tyrant is, its physical attributes are only at the peak Level 5 of a mere 2000 points.

Victor quietly lay on the back of the Barbarous Tyrant and slowly closed his eyes.

Dream Shaping (SSS-Class, Active Ability) activated...

An 8-fold discrepancy in physical attributes was enough for Victor to whimsically alter the dreams of the Barbarous Tyrant.

Weaving dreams.

Manipulating memories.

Even influencing the thought patterns of living beings.

The power of Dream Shaping is evident.

It is foreseeable that when the Barbarous Tyrant awakens again, Victor might have a new loyal assistant.

...

To the north, in the Wilderness Butcher’s territory.

A small grey shadow sneaks stealthily like a thief, with agile and swift movements, coupled with strong perception ability, allowing Cyclops to effortlessly avoid the sentry posts established by the Wilderness Butcher—a large group of marauding jackals...

I must say, with the increase in mutant beasts’ intelligence, their behaviors are becoming more and more human-like and socially oriented.

Observing the pack of jackals strolling ahead, Cyclops slowly licked the corner of his mouth, his scarlet forked tongue paired with a lascivious ugly face, presenting a bizarre expression.

Dogs were domesticated from wolves, even though jackals and wolves are not of the same species, after the apocalypse, mutant beasts evolved, blurring the distinctions between species.

In Cyclops’ view, these jackals can barely be considered kin.

Hmm, it’s like seeing a voluptuous African lady when he’s desperate, it can still happen...

Cyclops isn’t picky...

After Wen Yu gave the three soul pets the command to act alone, Cyclops’ mischievous evil nature immediately lost its restraint, becoming uncontrollable.

Playing a bit before completing the task doesn’t conflict, thinks Cyclops. This is his true innermost thought!

Thinking of this, Cyclops could hardly contain his deep-seated excitement, quickly dodging the jackal patrol team and swiftly heading towards a huge cave in the distance.

...

The Wilderness Butcher yawned heavily, his eyelids drooped listlessly, unable to conceal his drowsiness any longer.

As the most powerful master of this region, the Wilderness Butcher not only possesses immense personal strength but also commands a much larger force than the other three powers combined.

Strong power, large force, means expansive territory; expansive territory means abundant food!

Thinking of his hard-fought path to today’s bounty—a huge territory, a large harem, living a life where clothes are handed and meals are ready, occasionally creating little wolf pups—this kind of life, really, is delightful...

But delightful sometimes equals boredom—honestly speaking, day after day with nothing to do, the Wilderness Butcher is fed up.

Time to sleep...

Inside his heart, it’s as if a demon keeps tempting the Wilderness Butcher, and finally, the intimidating jackal closes its eyes, entering dreamland. But what it didn’t notice was, at the very moment it closed its eyes, a grey shadow sneaked into its sleeping chamber like a thief.

The moist nose twitched twice, seeing the enormous dark red figure lying on the ground, Cyclops skittered behind it swiftly.

Behind the jackal, another entrance emerged suddenly, with ”tender and charming” ”howl” sounds from within, teasing Cyclops’ nerves as if with aphrodisiacs.

His dog eyes began to show red, drool involuntarily flowing down.

The wonderful time begins...

...

The Wilderness Butcher was awakened by a series of strange sounds.

As a peak Level 5 divine beast, there’s no need to mention its perception ability; fighting its way to the top means maintaining a high level of alertness even when asleep.

After carefully sensing his ”harem” behind him, the Wilderness Butcher suddenly cursed: ”Stop making noise, I’m trying to sleep!”

It didn’t sense Cyclops’ aura...

However, the sounds behind it not only didn’t cease but grew even more ”exuberant.”

Only then did the Wilderness Butcher realize something was off: ”This sound, why does it sound... like... that thing...”

The massive body slowly stood up, Wilderness Butcher pondering with a frown for a long time, suddenly awakening, followed by excitement!

Its ugly face, comparable to Cyclops, was instantly filled with a lascivious smile.

”Could it be that those little ladies finally wised up? They learned to play some tricks with me?”

Thinking so, the Wilderness Butcher immediately shook off the bloodlike dark red fur, feigning a ”I am a decent wolf” demeanor, then took big steps, eagerly heading towards the cave behind.

...

”Damn, who the hell are you?”

”Ah... Ah... Stop it, I’m enjoying myself...”

”Dare to mess with my harem, you’re gonna pay!”

”Boom!”

”Bang bang bang...”

Sounds of messy fighting echoed from the back of the cave until a red lump of flesh was sent flying out of the entrance!

”I told you to stop, my big gun was longing for action...”
