Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

At almost the same time, the vanguard troops of the Demon Legion—the Three Head Seeds and the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons—had already passed through the Demon Realm’s Gate, teleporting across various locations on the African Continent.

Powerful experts, such as the Third Generation Seed of Flames, unleashed all their strength the moment they arrived, launching fierce attacks on human assembly sites or packs of mutant beasts, igniting monstrous massacres!

Meanwhile, even the weaker ones had their own ways to complete their missions!

Take, for example, the members of the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons that landed in central Africa.

...

It’s also due to the tactical arrangements of the Demon Tribe——as a vanguard squad, the tactical objectives of the three ”Seeds” and the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons have a slight difference.

The three Seeds were mainly responsible for the coastal areas of the African Continent. On one hand, the large gatherings of the Human Race are set near the coastline, and on the other hand, these three Seeds also have the heavy responsibility of guarding against marine creatures from the deep sea landing in support.

The relatively weaker African inland was naturally entrusted to the slightly less powerful members of the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons to handle.

Although compared to the Three Head Seeds, the members of the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons are slightly less powerful, they are, after all, the trump card unit in the hands of Legas! Each member of the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons is undoubtedly a Limit Breakthrough Level Demon Fiend!

When the Third Generation Seed of Flames arrived, there were slight changes in the nearest Demon Realm’s Gate to the New Hope Assembly Site.

...

The scale of the New Hope Assembly Site naturally couldn’t compare to the South Africa Assembly Site, and the outposts set up there were rather shabby—a simple stone house with a high platform built beside it, garrisoned by a few weak professionists.

For the soldiers of the New Hope Assembly Site, guarding the outpost was definitely not a good task. A Level Five Demon Fiend could casually emerge from the Demon Realm’s Gate and swallow this outpost without leaving a trace!

In the distance, the Demon Realm’s Gate flickered weakly. Seeing this scene, the sentry responsible for monitoring the gate swallowed hard, his eyes more focused than ever before, staring at the Demon Realm’s Gate as if it were the Gate of Hell, fearing that a powerful demon might jump out and claim his life.

Fortunately, the sentry’s fears didn’t manifest.

The faint glow of the Demon Realm’s Gate only flickered for a moment before returning to its original state.

And naturally, the sentry saw no trace of any Demon Fiend.

”Am I seeing things? Or is it an illusion...”

So thought the sentry, completely unaware that long ago, a Level Five Limit Breakthrough Level Ancient Demon had concealed itself with a skill, swaggering through the outpost and charging towards the distant New Hope Assembly Site.

”Mission target, New Hope Assembly Site...”

An ordinary member of the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons had no capability to single-handedly overwhelm an assembly site of a hundred thousand people, yet causing a ”slight” disturbance within the site was still effortless...

Such as assassinating the leader of this assembly site.

...

The Ancient Demon easily penetrated the defenses outside the New Hope Assembly Site, crossing the walls and walking straight into the city.

New Hope Assembly Site wasn’t large to begin with, coupled with the derelict buildings inside, the ”luxury residence” of Ray became all the more conspicuous in contrast.

The Ancient Demon, in a state of concealment, immediately found its position, first strolling a few laps in Ray’s courtyard—thanks to its overwhelming physical strength, the Ancient Demon moved about the courtyard as if it were its own, moving at ease and leisurely!

Only after thoroughly understanding the layout of the rooms and all hidden sentries, even gauging the physical attributes of all professionists within the courtyard, did the Ancient Demon swagger to a room’s door.

Inside, the sound of a crying baby echoed.

...

”Don’t cry, baby, don’t cry...”

Watching the baby Friday in his mother’s arms, Ray sat somewhat stiffly at the bedside, gently stroking Friday’s forehead while softly comforting the crying little life.

A black man towering over two meters, speaking gently to soothe his son, alongside his wife, radiating maternal glow all over.

The scene painted an unspeakably harmonious picture...

Warm,

and cozy.

Only when Friday’s cries gradually subsided did Ray exhale a sigh of relief as if freed from a burden.

Noticing her husband’s somewhat weary look, Ma Ka couldn’t help but chuckle softly, then seemed to recall something and asked, ”By the way, Ray, where’s that Lord? We haven’t seen any trace of that Lord all day today.”

”Went out early in the morning.”

Ma Ka nodded, then seemed to think of something else and said, ”Yesterday, that Lord visited Friday again and even brought lots of toys and baby supplies.”

Ray gently embraced his wife, merely nodding knowingly.

Wen Yu’s love for the children was evident, and for this, Ray didn’t feel much else—who wouldn’t love these little elves who have just arrived in the world?

”By the way, Lord Sequence Number 2 told me something the other day. He wants to send you and Friday to Yanjing. I think...”

A finger gently pressed against Ray’s lips. Looking down, Ray saw Ma Ka’s determined eyes: ”We are a family, and family should stick together, right?”

Hearing this, feeling the deep conviction in his wife’s heart, Ray was momentarily speechless, and could only nod silently.

The warm atmosphere lingered in the small bedroom, with a comforting and cozy air flowing constantly.

The next second, a sharp glint, just like the warmth swirling within Ray’s body, abruptly pierced into Ray’s waist and abdomen...

...

”Rip!”

The sudden cold in his body made Ray shiver instantly, and before Ray could react in any way, the sound of skin tearing already echoed by his ears.

The cold blade pierced through Ray’s waist and abdomen in an instant, entering from the back and coming out through the belly. At this moment, Ray’s mind was clearer than ever!

Ray could even sense the blade in his waist and abdomen quickly rotating ninety degrees, and then, that cold weapon instantly moved horizontally to the left, directly disemboweling Ray!

In just a brief moment, the sudden attack had already severed half of Ray’s waist and abdomen!

Blood gushed out instantly, the fresh blood mixed with internal organs and intestines splashed all over Ma Ka and Friday, and only then did Ma Ka react.

”Ah!!!”

A high-pitched soprano voice pierced the sky, the next second, a strong arm instantly struck Ray’s right cheek, the immense force instantly blasted half of Ray’s face, even an eyeball was squeezed out by the immense pressure, splattering onto Ma Ka.

”Boom!”

The severely injured Ray instantly lost consciousness, his strong body was flung far away, crashing through the wall, falling outside the room!

The huge, hideous figure that was originally hidden behind Ray, fully appeared in Ma Ka’s view.

Ray’s blood was everywhere on its face and head, the crimson liquid dripped down its cheeks, dyeing Ma Ka’s vision a bloody red.

Ma Ka vaguely saw the Ancient Demon in front reveal a sinister smile, then the crudely styled long sword in its hand was raised high!

”Rip...”

The blade sliced through the air, a violent whooshing sound arose, the battle saber directly struck Ma Ka’s head, and then like a hot knife through butter, instantly split Ma Ka’s head in half.

The sharp blade, under the massive power of the Limit Breakthrough Level Ancient Demon, kept its momentum undiminished, continuing downward smoothly!

Head, neck, chest cavity...

Split in two!

Flesh flying everywhere!

Until the battle saber shattered Ma Ka’s upper body, directly reaching the body of Friday still in swaddling clothes.

”Die!!!”

The Ancient Demon had a brutal, sinister smile on its face. It even imagined what was going to happen next—one stroke, two lives! Split into four! Mother and child reunited in flesh! Indistinguishable from each other...

However, with a ”buzz”, a black light suddenly burst from Friday’s forehead, the black light quickly transformed into a pitch-black barrier of light, completely enveloping Friday!

The black membrane seemed thin, yet its strength and toughness were quite considerable. The battle saber, having come in contact with the black membrane, imparted a huge rebound force through the saber into the Ancient Demon’s hand.

”Clang...”

The battle saber bounced high, the Ancient Demon’s vision of ”split into four” was completely shattered.

Seeing the black membrane emanating from Friday, the Ancient Demon slowly squinted its eyes.

”Is this a tool? Or...”

However, these things aren’t important.

Looking at the crying infant still in swaddling clothes, the Ancient Demon’s battle saber was raised once again!

Any! Any defensive tool or ability cannot withstand continuous attacks, regardless of what this black membrane is, today, the life of this little thing in front, the Ancient Demon is determined to take!
