Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Wen Yu didn’t say anything like ”If you die, Friday will have no family” as a warning.

Wen Yu is not anyone’s life mentor, nor does he want to interfere with anyone’s decisions. Likewise, he doesn’t care to talk about reason...

These are indeed reasons, but sometimes, reasoning is useless—like when hatred overwhelms rationality.

”I have already arranged for Friday, my subordinates will take care of him, plus I have some friends in Yanjing, so there shouldn’t be any mistakes on Friday’s end.”

Wen Yu was momentarily stunned; he didn’t expect Ray to have thought all of this through. It seems his determination is indeed significant...

”Besides, some of my subordinates don’t want to leave Africa either. They’ll all stay with me at the New Hope Assembly Site...”

Ray’s voice gradually weakened. He himself understood that staying here only leads to death.

However, certain things, in the eyes of some people, are more important than life.

Such as not leaving one’s homeland, such as love, such as hatred, and such as being fed up with living in this damned world...

In short, after saying these things, Ray saw that Wen Yu had no intention of saying anything, so he held Friday and left the room.

He needed to organize the evacuation work.

...

Alone in the room, Wen Yu frowned and thought for a long time. Only then did he use Contract Fortune to connect with three soul pets.

”Did anything unexpected happen yesterday, um?”

In Wen Yu’s guess, since the New Hope Assembly Site was attacked, it makes no sense for the three stronger mutant beast groups to not be attacked.

”Yesterday a Demon Fiend sneaked into Phoenix Mountain.”

”I have it too, meow meow...”

”Woof woof, I also have it here. The strength seems not weak.”

The leaders of the three mutant beast groups were indeed assassinated.

”What was the outcome?”

”Died, I ate it!”

”The corpse is already bloated, meow!”

”Ran away, scurried fast—I don’t even know what was going on with that Demon Fiend, snuck into my sleeping quarters, and bolted out the moment it saw me without saying a word.”

Wen Yu was suddenly bewildered: ”You didn’t chase?”

”No!”

Cyclops responded confidently: ”I was busy all night, so tired, I let Little Wilderness go chase, but he couldn’t catch up, that useless thing!”

Listening to Cyclops’ complaint in his ear, Wen Yu couldn’t help but twitch his eyebrow.

This guy lets me down at a critical moment!

Perhaps sensing some change in Wen Yu’s Spiritual Fluctuation, Cyclops cautiously asked: ”Boss, what’s wrong...”

Wen Yu couldn’t help rubbing his temples: ”Be careful yourselves. The Demon Fiend that showed up last night is the vanguard of the Demon Tribe’s attack on the African Continent. The Demon Tribe is dead-set on capturing the African Continent. War is about to start, alas... In short, I’ll notify you when specific circumstances arise, follow the original plan for now, be cautious, and communicate with me timely about any situations.”

”Understood!”

”Got it, meow.”

Star and Victor responded one after another, leaving Cyclops alone to react for quite a while before finally snapping to: ”Sorry, boss, I seem to have messed up...”

It’s not ”seem”; it’s ”definitely”! Cyclops, being Wen Yu’s earliest soul pet, with his appearance and specific strength, definitely has a record with the Demon Tribe. Why did that Ancient Demon responsible for assassinating the Wilderness Butcher run away immediately upon seeing Cyclops?

It must have gone to report information, in other words, the news of Wen Yu’s presence on the African Continent has been thoroughly exposed to the Demon Tribe.

Thinking of this, Wen Yu just sighed and directly disconnected from the three soul pets, took out his communication device, and dialed Lin Haifeng’s number.

...

”What’s up?”

Lin Haifeng’s tone was somewhat rushed; perhaps there were indeed too many things.

Wen Yu had no intention or need to chat with Lin Haifeng leisurely, he asked his question directly.

”Intelligence on the African Continent, detailed intelligence, I still need your overall combat plan for the African Continent!”

The opposite Lin Haifeng was silent for a moment, and then asked: ”Are you in Africa?”

”Yes!”

”There really isn’t much of a combat plan. Not only is there activity from the Demon Tribe on the African Continent, but even other continents have some abnormal Demon Fiend reactions. Although we can roughly determine that the African Continent will be the Demon Tribe’s main attack direction, the Earth Community doesn’t dare to send troops rashly for reinforcement, afraid of falling into the Demon Tribe’s trick of attacking one point from another, so the African Continent has indeed been abandoned by us.”

”As for the arrangements of professionists and mutant beasts, I’ve roughly planned it, in short, just bring back as many as you can.”

”When the evacuation work is about done, and after the African Continent is taken by Demon Fiends, we won’t rule out the possibility of using hot weapons for strike.”

Wen Yu was speechless all of a sudden. A continent’s land can’t be just given away easily. Instead of handing it over to Demon Fiends, it’s better if no one wants it: just blast it with nuclear bombs!

”What time, I need a specific time, a time when you plan to use hot weapons for the strike.”

”Don’t know, it depends on the Demon Tribe’s occupation speed. Honestly, based on current conditions, the overall situation on the African Continent isn’t good. If possible, you’d better evacuate from there.”

”Mm, got it.”

Wen Yu directly ended the communication.

...

After communicating with Lin Haifeng, Wen Yu sat back in his chair.

Continuously deducing possible situations on the African Continent in his mind, until Wen Yu felt his head was about to explode, he finally outlined the problems he faced clearly.

Firstly, and most importantly! About his Sixth Soul Pet—this is also the fundamental reason Wen Yu came to Africa.

But it’s still more than twenty days until the Sixth Soul Pet is born. This means if Wen Yu wants the ”Earth’s strongest mutant life form” as described by Star Praying, he must remain here for more than twenty days, it’s foreseeable that Wen Yu is destined to participate in this battle!

Secondly, his intelligence on the African Continent has been leaked by Cyclops.

This means if the Demon Tribe wants to capture the African Continent, they will inevitably include his presence in the combat plan, the danger level has significantly increased...

Thirdly, Earth’s Community’s final stage strategic nuclear strike.

Nuclear bombs, Wen Yu has used them. In fact, there are still eight nuclear warheads placed in Wen Yu’s space ring. With the destructive power of nuclear weapons, Wen Yu can’t say this thing poses no threat to him at all, more importantly, Wen Yu can’t guarantee whether his anticipated Sixth Soul Pet can withstand a nuclear weapon’s attack.

If the Sixth Soul Pet gets wiped out by a nuclear bomb, then Wen Yu’s efforts will be for nothing!

Having clarified these matters, Wen Yu was silent for a while and slowly made a decision.

The creature described by Star Praying, Wen Yu definitely won’t give up—an incredibly powerful mutant creature is valued by Wen Yu even more than dozens of Esoteric Level skill scrolls! Driven by such interests, there’s no risk that can’t be taken!

Not to mention, Wen Yu believes the war on the African Continent poses no enormous risks for himself—it’s merely a fight, Wen Yu isn’t afraid of Human Sea Tactics at all, coupled with his current super strength, there’s no reason to fear or evade the battle.

It is Earth’s Community’s strategic nuclear strike that has become the biggest obstacle for Wen Yu on this trip instead.

Thinking of this, a cold harshness flashed in Wen Yu’s eyes.
