Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The moment the black film of light appeared on Friday’s body, Wen Yu, who was far outside the assembly site hunting Demon Fiends, immediately received feedback.

The black film of light was naturally the power of Pitch-dark Divine Light. At that time, during Thunder’s banquet, Wen Yu lightly tapped Friday’s forehead, simultaneously bestowing the blessing, ”I wish him health and growth.”

This was not an empty promise. Wen Yu had truly left a backup for Friday—a defense barrier constructed with dark power!

With Wen Yu’s current strength, this defense measure was enough to protect Friday from any full-strength attack from a being below Level 8!

However, no defense measure is flawless, especially one that is detached, with no supplemental energy defense barrier!

At the critical moment, this energy was enough to save Friday’s life, but it was not a get-out-of-death-free card…

When this backup was triggered, Wen Yu immediately raised his head, looking in the direction of the New Hope Assembly Site.

Deeply frowning, Wen Yu hesitated little, his body immediately transformed into a Black Light and instantly disappeared from the original spot.

The defense barrier was triggered, and Friday was attacked.

Why?

Where is Thunder? What about the New Hope Assembly Site?

A bad premonition suddenly arose in Wen Yu’s heart.

...

”Boom!”

”Boom!”

”Boom!”

The battle saber carved graceful arcs, striking Friday’s outer Black Light like Thunder, causing the immense force to ripple across the Black Light like water waves.

Compared to when the Ancient Demon first swung the saber, the Black Light’s defense capability at this moment had already significantly diminished—no defense measure could withstand dozens of slashes per second!

Outside the room, Thunder’s subordinates had already sensed the upheaval occurring inside, and two of them stepped forward to support Thunder’s body, pouring healing potion into Thunder like it cost nothing, while the remaining people dashed madly into the room.

”Get out!!!”

A massive roar bellowed out from the room, followed by the sound of flesh tearing; compared to this Limit Breakthrough Level Ancient Demon, Thunder’s subordinates truly stood no chance!

Seeing the Black Light on Friday becoming increasingly transparent, a hint of madness and cruelty gleamed in the Ancient Demon’s eyes.

Destruction and devastation are always easier than creation; likewise, the thrill of destruction is much more intense and stimulating than creation!

At this moment, the Ancient Demon had fallen into a sort of inexplicable ”obsession”…

In another ten seconds or so, the Black Light would be destroyed, then it would be fresh, tender flesh, as for Thunder outside…

There’s no rush; the Ancient Demon is truly in no hurry, with his physical stats above 3000 points, coupled with the species innate talent of the Ancient Demon Tribe, taking down a Peak Level 5 ordinary professionist is just too easy!

...

”Rip…”

A sound like leather tearing echoed out, and seeing the Black Light on Friday being ripped open with a crack by his heavy blow, the Ancient Demon let out an excited shriek.

Even if he does not know what the Black Light on this little creature is, it does not change the outcome!

Gently spinning the battle saber, the Ancient Demon aimed the tip of the sword at the crack in the Black Light, a flicker of cruelty and delight flashing across his eyes, then he thrust forcefully!

Imagining the upcoming bloody and fleshy scene and the sweet scent of blood, the Ancient Demon trembled in ecstasy as if reaching climax, simultaneously slowly closing his eyes, ready to savor this beautiful moment!

”Waa waa waa… waa waa waa… ah, ee yah yah…”

The wailing cries of an infant gradually weakened, yet it did not sound like the rasping cries of one at death’s door, while the immense obstructing power from the tip of the saber caused the Ancient Demon to open his eyes in shock.

Raising his head, the Ancient Demon immediately saw the thin figure dressed in black standing beside the bed, holding a small baby in his arms, the child blabbering nonsensically.

Then, the Ancient Demon’s gaze moved downward, seeing the tip of his saber gripped firmly by Wen Yu’s two fingers, no matter how the Ancient Demon exerted force, the saber tip remained completely still; with Wen Yu’s other hand, he was holding Friday, slowly turning his head to look at the splattered remnants of flesh and blood nearby.

That was Ma Ka…

Sliced in two, and then shredded into pieces by the immense pressure of the battle saber’s swing!

”Ah…”

A pressed sigh sounded.

Wen Yu gently twisted his neck, a series of crackling noises emanating from it, resonating like death’s notes in the Ancient Demon’s ears!

”Sequence Number 2…”

A murmured voice came from the Ancient Demon’s mouth; looking at the figure only known from the records in front of him, the Ancient Demon shivered instantly, immediately loosening his grip on the saber, and quickly fleeing backward!

The fierce sound of wind rose as the fleeing Ancient Demon vaguely heard something.

”In front of a child, you killed his mother…”

”What a damnable sin this is!!!”

As the words were still echoing, the Ancient Demon only felt a huge foot descending from the sky, the 43-sized shoe sole precisely covering the Ancient Demon’s face.

With a ”boom!” sound, the Ancient Demon’s body was stomped into the ground by Wen Yu, and following that, the Mad Medley quickly manifested in Wen Yu’s right hand.

”Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang…”

A series of gunfire erupted, amid the billowing dust, black blood and scales splattered everywhere, and the life aura belonging to the Ancient Demon vanished instantly!

...

Looking at the Ancient Demon blasted into a pool of mush on the ground, Wen Yu’s eyes remained calm, pondering something unknown. After a while, Wen Yu bent down, picked up the magic crystals that had fallen to the ground, then turned and walked into the room.

The room’s walls had been ravaged beyond recognition, Wen Yu could even hear the faint creaking of the few remaining wall pieces, struggling under their weight.

Slowly walking to the bedside, seeing Friday lying amidst his mother’s flesh, kicking small legs, sucking on fingers, Wen Yu slowly picked Friday up, turned to the wardrobe, and fetched a plain white long skirt.

Unwrapping the cloth around Friday, Wen Yu tenderly wiped the blood off Friday.

A slender man…

A lively babbling infant…

The scene froze.

Until footsteps sounded outside the door.

...

Like a man returning home from a day’s work, Thunder quietly pulled open the door, walking into the room with somewhat staggering steps.

The wounds on his face and waist yet to heal, specks of fresh blood seeping from his cheeks, dyeing Thunder’s face to resemble a ferocious evil spirit.

”The child is fine.”

Wen Yu said.

”Thank you.”

Thunder replied.

Then, Wen Yu heard the sound of steps approaching the bed, followed by the wet, slippery noise of flesh and entrails being moved—like stirring ground meat, the sticky sound making Wen Yu a bit nauseous.

The curious-eyed Friday stretched his neck trying to see what his father was doing.

Wen Yu covered Friday’s eyes, then holding Friday, walked out of the room.

Until Wen Yu carrying Friday walked out the room door…

”Ah! Ah!! Aaaaaahhhh!!!”

Like a wounded wild beast, a soul-piercing wail of despair and terrifying cry erupted from Thunder inside the room!

Standing at the doorway, Wen Yu slightly twitched the corner of his mouth, unsure of what to say.

After a moment, with a sigh, Wen Yu carrying Friday walked back to the room Thunder had arranged for him.
