Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Looking at the feedback from the intelligence on his watch, Wen Yu couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Under Wen Yu’s blatant slaughter, the Demon Tribe indeed had some apprehension about Wen Yu’s presence.

Although it was predictable that the subsequent counterattack from the Demon Tribe would be even more fierce and dangerous, Wen Yu, at present, couldn’t care about much else.

He couldn’t have both fish and bear paw; he considered it worthwhile to transfer the risks of the unborn Soul Pet No. 6 to himself. Once he acquired the soul pet, would Wen Yu care if the African Continent was flood-threatened?

Thinking of this, Wen Yu put away his watch and quickly moved in another direction indicated by the intelligence.

...

With the concealment of the Demonic Vanguard Team and Wen Yu being active all over Africa, the entire African battle situation fell into a brief calm.

The lethality of the Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons and the Three Head Seeds speaks for itself----without strong experts at the corresponding level to hold them off, even just one Limit Breakthrough Level Ancient Demon was enough to cause unimaginable destruction to a large gathering place.

And Wen Yu’s emergence happened to fill the high-level expert gap on the African Continent.

It’s like a big fish eats small fish and small fish eats shrimp; Wen Yu’s presence focuses not on how many demon fiends he killed, but on forming an invisible deterrence. Just let these demon fiends understand that there is a human that could take their lives anytime above them, slowing down these high-level demon fiends’ killing speed, Wen Yu’s goal was also achieved.

As for the Demon Legion pouring out of the Demon Realm’s Gate...

The professionists and mutant beasts of the African Continent weren’t made of mud; with the absence of high-level battle power on both sides, holding off the demon fiends for a period was entirely feasible!

For a time, the undercurrent surged throughout the African Continent.

...

Africa, near the coastline of South Africa.

Countless gigantic sea turtles, nearly thirty meters in length, lay crawling at the shore, forming a massive transport convoy! At the front of the team, a Sea King Tribe, resembling the Ancient Demon in appearance, waved a huge bone whip, commanding the transfer operation of the mutant beasts.

”One B-Class skill, two D-Class skills, qualified!”

An Early Stage Level 3 lupine-type mutant beast, let through by the Sea King Tribe’s clansmen, climbed onto the back of a sea turtle.

”Three F-Class skills, and all of them are support abilities? No way, get lost far away!”

The inspected felid-type mutant beast emitted a series of whimpering cries, with pleading eyes, glittering with tears, though it annoyed the warriors of the Sea King Tribe.

”A weakling still wishes to survive, scram! Don’t block the way!”

With a ”bang,” the unqualified mutant beast was kicked far away by the warrior of the Sea King Tribe, losing its life aura while still in mid-air.

Afterwards, its corpse hit the ground, triggering a commotion, and after the chaos subsided, only a heap of pale white bones remained at the spot.

Compared to the professionists, these mutant beasts, especially those of low level and weak skills, were unfortunate, humans at least knew about face-saving projects, even in the apocalypse, things were still somewhat reasonable, under the leadership of Lin Haifeng, the Earth Community would never openly show such a weak-meat-strong-eat attitude. However, mutant beasts weren’t that particular----if you’re weak, you deserve to die! Many mutant beasts were still hungry on their way to the evacuation point!

At this moment, this large-scale mutant beast evacuation convoy was distributed in nearly several hundred spots near the coastlines of the African Continent, but compared to the vast mutant beast population of the African Continent, these several hundred evacuation points were undoubtedly too few. Humans had the Eternal Sky City’s transport passage, but mutant beasts had nothing. It’s imaginable, even if Wen Yu inadvertently won them a lot of time, only a few mutant beasts could evacuate from the African Continent.

The majority still had to engage in a life-and-death struggle with the Demon Tribe on this land where a great war was destined to occur without hope.

”Just Level 1? Only one F-Class skill? Are you kidding me? Unqualified!”

The judgment of the Sea King Tribe was undoubtedly a death sentence for this oddly featured mutant beast, seeing the impatient and disdainful gaze of the Sea King Tribe before him, Luo Luo slowly hung his head, with two antennae swinging back and forth on his forehead, as if narrating the anxiety in Luo Luo’s heart.

”Quick, quick, quick, hurry up and scram!”

The Sea King Tribe waved dismissively, but didn’t perform any more obnoxious actions...

Not because this Sea King Tribe has a good temper, but because this Level 1 mutant beast was truly too disgusting.

Almost like an enlarged version of an ant, it was one of those big-bellied Ant Queens! With a body length of about 30 centimeters, undoubtedly belonging to the small type among the mutant beast group, its six varied-sized ant legs struggled to support the disproportionate body, with some sticky, nauseating mucus hanging on its big belly!

The Sea King Tribe worried they’d kick this ugly little thing and splatter themselves with filth!

Hearing the urgent urging from the Sea King Tribe, Luo Luo dared not delay, quickly moving his six small legs, laboriously crawling in another direction...

There, countless spiritless mutant beasts lay prone on the ground seemingly having lost all hope, these were the mutants that failed the assessment, of course, the Sea King Tribe also gave this place a nice name----Trash Concentration Camp!

...

”Yo, another one arrives, what kind of creature?”

The leading giant Lion asked in a mocking tone.

”An...Ant...”

Luo Luo waved the antennae on his forehead, the two antennae emitted faint spiritual fluctuations as a response to Big Lion’s words.

”No wonder it’s so disgusting, turns out to be Insect Tribe, speaking of which, you’re quite the odd one, mutants that can emerge from the Insect Tribe during this period aren’t many, you didn’t pass the check?”

”Uh...”

Luo Luo lowered his head once again.

”I only have one F-Class skill.”

The level of the first skill largely determines the potential of a mutant creature, and a mutant beast with its first skill being F-Class, even though it’s part of the Insect Tribe, had no redeeming value in the eyes of the Sea King Tribe.

Big Lion was an admirable beast, too, seeing Luo Luo lowering his head, uneasily waving his antennae, couldn’t help but offer some comfort: ”Don’t worry, before we depart, we’ll undergo another round of assessment, and if there’s space on the sea turtle’s back, they’ll let us aboard.”

”Child, never lose hope!”

Perhaps Big Lion’s sincerity touched Luo Luo, Luo Luo nodded heavily, his two antennae colliding and releasing a spiritual fluctuation: ”Alright!”

...

Yet, hope did not descend upon these ”trash.”

When the sea turtles, filled with mutant beasts, sailed away with the wind and waves, all the mutant beasts in the Trash Concentration Camp were instantly filled with disappointment.

”What to do!”

”We’re doomed! We’re doomed!”

”We’re dead for sure! Damn it! I’ll die but I’ll die full!”

In desperation, their savage beast nature instantly exploded, even before the Demon Tribe descended, these mutant beasts, having lost hope of escape, began slaughtering each other.

Low-level mutant beasts, albeit intelligent, still had instincts and beast nature occupying absolute dominance; they never considered that the Sea Clan might organize a second wave, or even a third wave of rescue operations.

Speaking of which, being eliminated in the first wave, with the influx of mutant beast herds to the evacuation points from the interior, there’d certainly be more mutants later, failing once, it’d be uncertain the second or third time...

Amid the chaos, Luo Luo only felt his surroundings filled with beast shadows as tall as mountains, his weak body darting back and forth, yet several times almost being crushed into a meat paste!

Until a giant Lion appeared in front of Luo Luo.

”Come! Quickly follow me, these guys are mad!”

Big Lion, with five skill slots but only awakening three skills below D-Class level, although looked down upon by the Sea King Tribe, its physical quality was undeniable.

At this moment, Big Lion bit onto Luo Luo’s body, then swiftly squeezed out of the Trash Concentration Camp relying on its powerful Early Stage Level 5 physical quality!

The gust of wind blowing against him made Luo Luo feel dizzy, his antennae faintly waving: ”Where...are we going?”

”Back to the mainland! I heard Lord Sequence Number 2, along with his soul pet, is building a foothold inland, all the mutants unable to evacuate can go there, Lord Sequence Number 2 will lead us against the Demon Tribe!”

”Lord Sequence Number 2...”

A strange name.

”The Human Race’s Sequence Number 2, you may not know, but he’s a true immortal figure!”

Big Lion spoke with excitement, and Luo Luo listened with fascination.

Not because of the title Sequence Number 2, but because of the Human Race...

Thinking back to the time right after his mutation, Luo Luo couldn’t help but move his antennae twice.

”Thank you, my name is Luo Luo, a human gave me this name.”
