Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

In the external information, Wen Yu’s reputation is not good—he is a super powerful expert who acts on his whims, with a capricious nature, extremely selfish, without weaknesses, and without ties!

For most people, the danger level of such a guy is second only to that of a deranged killer!

Because when you’re with such a person, your safety, everything you care about, is completely in someone else’s hands and entirely depends on their mood—it’s really an unpleasant feeling.

Recalling yesterday’s first meeting with Ray in his mind, at the time, Wen Yu really wanted to hug that little black baby, perhaps due to being older and having experienced more, he’s become more sentimental...

In any case, a new life, a pure soul, always gives Wen Yu a vague sense of kinship.

But Ray did not agree.

Well, this is the ”intimidation” Wen Yu has developed over a long time.

However, Wen Yu is still reasonable in many matters, since Ray didn’t agree to let him hold their child, he simply chose not to, and wisely ended the topic, expressing his purpose to Ray.

”After a month, I’d like to mobilize your people to help me find a mutant beast, as for the cost, I’ll pay with magic crystals.”

Wen Yu has plenty of magic crystals and even more points; due to the presence of the Exchange Stone Pillar, points are equivalent to magic crystals, so paying this little price is completely irrelevant to Wen Yu.

Just thousands of magic crystals.

Wen Yu is wealthy,

Unbothered.

Understanding Wen Yu’s intention, Ray relaxed considerably; not to mention Wen Yu having no malice, just speaking of the magic crystals Wen Yu is offering, in the eyes of survivors at this assembly site, it’s a business too good to refuse!

So Ray agreed immediately and very considerately arranged a place for Wen Yu to live—although a bit dirty and messy, it counts as a mansion at this assembly site.

Wen Yu had already managed the Southern New Hope Assembly Site himself, rested here for the night, and early the next morning used the Soul Realm space’s Contract Fortune to communicate with the three soul pets.

...

”Absolutely okay, meow meow meow.”

Victor’s abilities are strong in all aspects; he can go on missions independently and requires the least worry from Wen Yu!

Just last night, Victor perfectly reconstructed the memory of the Barbarous Tyrant, in other words, the entire mutant bison herd to the west has come under Wen Yu’s control!

”I’m still a bit away, about to resolve it, ah...”

Cyclops’ voice sounded lethargic, his words ending with a huge yawn, and Wen Yu could easily guess what extent of ridiculousness this guy had reached yesterday.

”Are you sure there’s no problem? Do you need me to handle anything?”

Wen Yu asked again.

”Absolutely no problem! Boss, you have to trust my ability, give me one more day, and I guarantee I’ll train little Barbarous properly!”

At the mention of Wen Yu possibly coming here personally, Cyclops immediately perked up. He’s kidding; being beside Wen Yu isn’t nearly as comfortable as enjoying his own sway here!

”Little Barbarous...click click...well, I trust you.”

Wen Yu’s response made Cyclops breathe a sigh of relief. When the Contract Fortune connection was broken, Cyclops immediately turned around to face the Wilderness Butcher, who appeared subdued at the cave’s edge, like a bullied little wife, and glared with wide eyes: ”Where’s the food? Aren’t you going to prepare a meal for me, Lord Cyclops?”

”Ehh...”

The divine beast known as ”Little Barbarous” secretly cursed in his heart, yet his ugly face was filled with flattery: ”Big brother, wait a moment, it’s coming right away!”

Apparently, Cyclops doesn’t seem to be deceiving Wen Yu.

...

Cyclops’ abilities are also decent, although not as reliable as Victor, they are noteworthy, and Cyclops’ character is ”carefree”; if things are not manageable, he’ll definitely find Wen Yu immediately for backing. Overall, Cyclops’ responsibility for the north is adequate.

It’s Star’s situation that makes Wen Yu most uneasy.

Using Contract Fortune to communicate with Star: ”How’s it going there?”

”Pretty good... the Death Harbinger Raven is taking me around Phoenix Mountain, boss, the scenery here is amazing...”

”Well, don’t forget the main task.”

”Oh, got it.”

Without Wen Yu’s guidance and clear orders, Star was somewhat confused and at a loss, but Star’s power was formidable; if nothing unexpected happens, even if Star doesn’t accomplish the mission, no life-threatening situation would arise.

”If worst comes to worst, I’ll take Victor personally and give the little Crow a head-wash.”

Wen Yu made up his mind and still decided to leave this small problem to Star to handle.

This is also a form of training and growth.

...

In the following days, Wen Yu stayed at the New Hope Assembly Site, occasionally venturing out to hunt some Demon Fiends, leading a calm and unremarkable life.

Whereas Ray frequently visited Wen Yu, afraid of not entertaining him well. Through several days of interaction, Ray could reassess Wen Yu—he wasn’t as terrifying as the information suggested, rather he seemed like an ordinary person with quite a bit of power.

Wen Yu even attended a banquet hosted by Ray, where he saw Ray’s child again—Friday.

Ray smiled and explained to Wen Yu that the naming method in Africa had some resemblance to earlier times in Cathay, the simpler the child’s name, the easier they grow; additionally, since Friday was born on a Friday, choosing this name wasn’t impulsive or random.

Wen Yu also got to hold Friday as hoped, sensing the pure Soul Power in the child’s mind; inexplicably, Wen Yu felt touched.

”Go to Yanjing, I can send him to Yanjing; the conditions there are better.”

Ray shook his head.

”Let’s leave it for now; I can’t let go here.”

Friends,

Family,

The assembly site he built with his own hands,

And the confined quarters he calls home.

Wen Yu didn’t insist, merely nodded with a smile, handing Friday back to Ray.

Everyone has their own choices and bindings; Wen Yu simply offered a suggestion, not a command. The choice remains in Ray’s hands.

Watching the peaceful, slumbering Friday in Ray’s arms, Wen Yu extended a finger to tap Friday’s forehead.

”Then, I wish for him to grow healthily!”

A small life in a small assembly site, a tiny piece of daily life, plain but bringing Wen Yu a sense of reality and warmth.

...

The search for Soul Pet No. 6 continues methodically; currently, the north, west, south, the two mutant beast forces along with the New Hope Assembly Site are fully under Wen Yu’s control, and even the east handled by Star faces no major hurdles.

The entire region marked by Star Praying has been tightly covered by Wen Yu’s woven net, Wen Yu is very sure, barring any surprise, the ”strongest mutant creature” marked by Star Praying could not escape his grasp!

However, many things Wen Yu cannot calculate; even if calculated, he can’t solve...

For instance...
