Wilderness Survival with Druid System

During the break, Chen Wen also had Dennis help process the brown Aussie snake.

The brown Aussie snake also provided a new attribute for Chen Wen.

[Poison Resistance (Gold): Enhanced resistance to snake venom, significantly increased resistance to neurotoxins, and significantly increased resistance to hemotoxins, but the effect is halved when facing venomous snakes from other continents]

This is a very strong attribute in Australia.

On other continents, while useful, its value is far less than that of a gold attribute.

However, with the brown Aussie snake’s attribute being two bad and one good, this was the choice they had to make.

Having selected the attribute, they enjoyed a nice rest in the desert all morning.

Everyone was also getting ready to continue on.

After all, time was getting tighter, and they couldn’t stay in the oasis for long.

After packing up their supplies, everyone decided to set off in the afternoon.

...

Afternoon.

The prepared group set off again.

They needed to make quick progress this afternoon to reach the area beyond the third oasis.

Though the road ahead would still mainly be desert, it was obviously much easier to traverse.

Because as they got closer to the Kimberley Plateau, water resources became more abundant.

And there were more oases.

As long as they were careful of the threats from poisonous snakes and insects, traveling would be much easier than before.

Just as Chen Wen and the others were leaving the oasis.

The whistling kite soaring in the sky suddenly lowered its altitude and called out loudly.

The others didn’t understand the meaning of the kite’s call, but Chen Wen heard it clearly.

It had spotted a group of camels.

And this group of camels met Chen Wen’s requirements well, slowly approaching them.

Hearing this news, Chen Wen was a bit speechless.

The days of urgently needing camels were over, and now they didn’t need to tame camels anymore, but here came a stable camel group led by a male camel.

It was a bit awkward!

Chen Wen thought for a moment and said to everyone, ”The whistling kite seems to have found a group of camels, and they are approaching us. What do you think?”

A camel group?

Hearing this, everyone had the same thought as Chen Wen.

They didn’t lack camels now, so what was the point of taming more?

But at that moment, Dennis offered a different perspective: ”Why not give it a try? The more camels we have, the more advantageous it is for us. If we can tame a few more camels, we can even rotate riding them to speed up our journey, which is better than riding for a while and then walking for a while. Plus, with more camels, we can distribute our supplies, lessening the burden on them. What do you think?”

This insight brightened everyone’s eyes.

Just as Dennis said.

After riding the camels for tens of minutes, they all had to walk to let the camels rest.

After all, although these beasts were gentle, they would get a little grumpy when they were overly tired.

Thus, over the course of their journey, a significant portion of their time was spent walking.

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen was also intrigued.

Just as Dennis said, if they could tame camels, it would be beneficial.

So Chen Wen decided to go and take a look at this camel group.

After walking forward for about five more minutes.

Chen Wen saw the camel group approaching them slowly.

Utilizing his [Eagle Eye Vision], Chen Wen quickly saw the composition of the camel group.

There was a very strong male dromedary camel, seven adult female dromedary camels, and four or five subadult dromedary camels.

It was a relatively standard wild dromedary camel group.

And what delighted Chen Wen most was that the male dromedary was a special animal, with a temperament that was also greedy for food!

Chen Wen felt that he loved this trait.

Greedy for food!

Without hesitation, he said to everyone, ”I have a feeling that there’s a high chance we’ll be able to take down this camel group!”

Hearing Chen Wen’s words, everyone was stunned.

They didn’t know why Chen Wen suddenly became so confident.

But confidence was a good thing.

Everyone immediately said, ”If that’s the case, let’s try it then!”

Chen Wen nodded confidently, taking a large bag full of a mixture of barley and wheat as the staple feed from his camel.

Camels mainly eat prickly plants and desert shrubs, but they eat that out of necessity.

When staple feed is available, camels prefer to consume high-energy grains like this.

Especially wheat, which is a favorite among camels.

Chen Wen took the wheat and slowly approached the camel group.

The camel group, noticing Chen Wen, immediately took on a vigilant stance.

They watched Chen Wen very cautiously, fearing that this strange two-legged creature would suddenly leap forward and bite them to death.

Seeing the camels’ wary posture, Chen Wen pondered for a moment, then proactively activated the [Gua Fragrance] attribute.

Soon, a rich fruity aroma began to emanate from Chen Wen’s body.

Even Hua Yun and the others behind him could smell the scent.

”So fragrant!”

Hua Yun couldn’t help but say, ”Did you smell that? There’s a very strong fruity fragrance.”

Dennis nodded repeatedly after hearing this: ”Yes, I smelled it. It’s very fragrant! Just like that sweet melon we once ate!”

Where did it come from?

The group couldn’t help but look around, a bit puzzled.

But they stopped discussing where the fragrance was coming from.

On Chen Wen’s side, he had already gotten close to the camel group.

...

The permeating fruity aroma slowly drifted through the air, entering the camels’ nostrils.

Camels looked around absentmindedly, drooling uncontrollably.

For the camels, the fruity aroma was even more enticing than wheat!

If we were to draw an inappropriate comparison.

Desert shrubs are like coarse cornmeal bread to camels, and wheat is like fine white buns.

As for fruits, that’s like a supreme bun produced by a top-notch pastry chef, with gold leaf—an ultimate, exquisitely fragrant baozi.

With stuffing like monk jump over the wall.

So, after determining the fruity aroma was coming from Chen Wen.

The camel group stirred and unexpectedly began moving towards Chen Wen.

”Yes, yes, just like that.”

Chen Wen grinned and decided to stand in place and wait for the camels to arrive.

Soon, as the male dromedary came close to Chen Wen, he decisively turned off the Gua Fragrance attribute.

As the fruity aroma disappeared, the male dromedary looked around in bewilderment.

Who am I?

Where did I come from?

Where am I going?

The dromedary was dazed but saw a friendly smiling face.

”Hungry?”

The face made a strange sound, but the dromedary understood.

It didn’t have time to wonder why it could understand this sound and instead nodded blankly, ”Hungry!”

”Want something to eat?”

The face smiled even more kindly, even taking out a plump-looking bag.

Opening the bag.

The contents, resembling sand, immediately grabbed the dromedary’s attention.

Wheat!

Edible wheat!

To the dromedary, the fruits were too pretentious.

But wheat, now that was practical!

The dromedary felt dizzy.

Is this meant for me?

The two-legged creature seemed to read the dromedary’s thoughts.

He said nonchalantly, ”Go on, eat! We’re buddies!”

Buddies!

Though the meaning of the word was unclear, the dromedary understood it was now this two-legged creature’s buddy!

The dromedary buried its head into the bag and took a big mouthful of wheat.

The feeling of wheat rubbing in its mouth...

The dromedary couldn’t help but squint its eyes: Worth dying for!

After eating a few mouthfuls, the dromedary gathered its thoughts and looked at the two-legged creature feeding it.

The creature nodded satisfyingly and asked, ”Join me, and you’ll have all the food you need in the future! Want to come with us?”

The dromedary immediately agreed without hesitation: ”Yes!”
