Wilderness Survival with Druid System

After thinking clearly, Chen Wen looked at the hairy bull ant.

He began to ponder some things in his heart.

Now, he could say that two entries were in front of him, and they were both top-tier entries.

That locust should be an Australian locust among the desert locusts.

It’s a combat locust among locusts.

However, without the swarm, the solitary Australian locust is still relatively weak.

The hairy bull ant is also a top-tier ant.

This creature has excellent vision, a strong body capable of jumping, and extremely potent venom.

Covered in top-tier entries!

But catching it is quite difficult.

The hairy bull ant’s small size is one thing, but its speed and agility are absurdly high.

To catch it, one must be prepared for the danger of being bitten back and risking one’s life.

After pondering for a moment, Chen Wen decided to give it a try.

He’s not willing to let go of two top-tier entries just like that!

Searching through the items he was carrying, Chen Wen really did find some useful things.

A pair of gloves.

To be precise, a pair of black leather gloves.

Previously, while stealing items from those people, Chen Wen had stumbled upon this thing among the items of the Japanese team.

This thing isn’t considered a tool, but rather an additional garment a player can carry.

But Chen Wen didn’t initially pay much attention to it.

After all, wearing such thick gloves in such hot weather, one must be a bit crazy.

However, now Chen Wen feels that the person wearing these leather gloves must have great wisdom!

These gloves, paired with Chen Wen’s clothes, are enough to keep the hairy bull ant from biting!

After putting on the gloves, Chen Wen slowly approached the hairy bull ant.

He noticed the shadow moving.

This hairy bull ant instinctively stopped its actions toward the desert locust.

It looked up at Chen Wen’s side, seemingly pondering what was approaching.

But soon, it gave up thinking.

For the hairy bull ant, the world is simple.

Apart from its food, anything else that dares to approach will get bitten!

Make him never dare to get close in his life!

Therefore, the hairy bull ant hesitated not.

Its several legs exerted force simultaneously, swiftly jumping up and pouncing toward Chen Wen.

Seeing the hairy bull ant’s movements, Chen Wen couldn’t afford to be careless.

He activated the entry [Swift], making his reaction speed extremely fast.

At the same time, he utilized the entry [Far-sighted Vision], trying to see the hairy bull ant’s position clearly.

In this way, though not as exaggerated as bullet time,

Chen Wen could still easily capture the position of the hairy bull ant with his gaze and react.

Soon, as the hairy bull ant jumped over,

Chen Wen grasped the hairy bull ant in his palm at once.

The leather gloves became an insurmountable wall for the hairy bull ant!

No matter how strong its venom is, as long as it can’t pierce Chen Wen’s gloves with its sting, it has no effect!

As for Chen Wen, he clenched his palm tightly, utilizing [Giant Strength], and gripped his hand hard into a fist.

A moment later, Chen Wen moved his palm afar and then slowly opened it.

In his palm, the once formidable hairy bull ant had gone two-dimensional.

In the physical sense.

”Dead, a hairy bull ant.”

Chen Wen let out a sigh of relief, his expression relaxed.

He carefully took off the gloves, then picked up the desert locust, and retreated towards the camp.

Although the hairy bull ant hunts alone, they are social creatures.

A single ant nest usually has hundreds of hairy bull ants.

Since one was found here, it signifies at least one nest of hairy bull ants in the oasis.

Continuing to proceed, there’s a high probability of being attacked by hairy bull ants jumping out from nowhere.

Even with entries, in an unguarded situation, Chen Wen could still fail miserably in a muddy ditch.

...

After returning to camp.

Seeing Chen Wen cautiously clutching the gloves, the others were very curious.

”What are you holding?”

Hua Yun asked.

”Hairy bull ant.”

Chen Wen said calmly, placing the gloves on the ground.

But before he finished speaking, Dennis jumped up as if his tail had been stepped on.

Then he crawled back several meters using both his hands and feet.

The others looked puzzled.

What’s the matter with this guy?

At this moment, Dennis was sweating heavily, and he cautiously asked Chen Wen, ”Is it dead or alive?”

”Dead, don’t be afraid.”

Speaking, Chen Wen carefully opened the gloves for everyone to see.

Seeing the hairy bull ant turned two-dimensional, Dennis finally relaxed.

He wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, ”You’re really absurd; you can even kill such a terrifying thing, wait!”

Dennis suddenly remembered a severe issue, ”You wouldn’t happen to have caught it in this oasis, would you!”

”Unfortunately, you guessed right.”

Chen Wen said with a smile.

Now Dennis didn’t dare to move even a bit.

Seeing the others’ puzzled expressions, Chen Wen continued to cheerfully introduce the hairy bull ant.

After hearing about the hairy bull ant, the others’ faces also changed completely.

They’ve been in the oasis for nearly two days.

It’s like they’ve slept under death’s scythe!

Chen Wen reassured everyone, ”Don’t worry, don’t be so nervous. I’ve added some special firewood to our bonfire. When these burn, they release a scent that insects dislike.”

This was nonsense.

Actually, Chen Wen dared to stay calmly in this oasis, relying on his entry [Insect Deterrence].

Since discovering the hairy bull ants, he had activated the entry.

Using scent to ward off the hairy bull ants.

Hearing this, the others finally felt a little more at ease.

Then Chen Wen took out the desert locust for everyone to see, ”This is the desert locust. I estimate there are quite a few in this oasis. If you encounter them, you can catch and eat them, but don’t deliberately search for them; the oasis remains fairly dangerous regardless.”

Upon hearing this, the others nodded.

Locusts can be eaten.

Before they form swarms, locusts don’t have much venom.

Conversely, they are rich in protein.

Once roasted, they taste fairly good.

In times of food shortage or wanting a change in flavor, they can be tried.

After briefly mentioning these things, Chen Wen began pondering how to eat these two insects.

There’s no need to say much about the locust; roast the legs and eat them.

Chen Wen dared not eat the body.

He doesn’t know the exact composition of the hairy bull ant’s venom, so he tries to eat as little as possible.

Therefore, roasted locust legs and hairy bull ant legs became part of Chen Wen’s dinner.

He licked the nearly weightless hairy bull ant legs into his mouth with his tongue and swallowed them with a gulp of water.

Moments later, there was a system response.

Lo and behold, these few ant legs actually counted as entries!

Chen Wen couldn’t help but shake his head, looking at the hairy bull ant’s entries.
