Wilderness Survival with Druid System

In the desert, a group of feral dromedary camels was ambling along.

They didn’t know that not far ahead.

Five humans, driven by their blood, had set up an ambush!

Chen Wen breathed lightly, gripping the steel long spear in his hand tightly.

This time’s hunt, without a doubt, he was the main attacker!

Although bows and arrows could kill camels, Hua Yun and they needed to aim very accurately, and it couldn’t be done with one arrow decisively.

In the desert, once the arrow didn’t bring down the dromedary camels.

They would escape carrying the arrows to a far distance.

And if Chen Wen and the others wanted to pursue and exhaust the dromedary camels’ strength, waiting for their blood to drain, it was impossible.

Because in such a desert environment.

The ones who would get exhausted first would be the hunters, not the dromedary camels.

So they must deal a heavy blow to the camels in one hit, not letting them escape far away.

Hence, Chen Wen took the lead and crafted a detailed plan.

As the dromedary camels got closer and closer, Chen Wen stopped overthinking.

He slowly picked up the long spear and walked toward the camels.

This group of dromedary camels consisted of a male and his mates and offspring.

Chen Wen’s target was that robust-looking male camel.

The reason was simple, the male camel held a dominant position in the group.

It drank the most water and ate the most food, having the largest body, and thus contained more water in its body.

Chen Wen licked his dry lips, staring at the male camel.

The male camel had already noticed Chen Wen.

However, it wasn’t too nervous, just maintaining its distance.

After all, in this desert, no wild beasts could threaten camels, so they always moved with impunity.

As for hunters, they generally didn’t venture so deep when hunting camels.

They preferred to hunt near human settlements where they could find dromedary camel groups.

So, these camels living in the heart of the desert weren’t very afraid of humans.

But this very disdain led this camel group into extinction.

Seeing the camel group approaching to about fifty meters away, even showing intent to move forward.

Chen Wen couldn’t help but mutter to himself, ”Are these camels always this brave? Do they not know who I am?”

Unfortunately, no one answered him.

This group of dromedary camels naturally ignored Chen Wen.

Thus, Chen Wen was able to gather strength and take aim.

His target was clear, the javelin was aimed straight at that male camel.

With the launch of [Giant Strength], Chen Wen used all his might to fiercely throw the long spear.

Accompanied by a whistling sound.

The spear accurately hit the dromedary camel positioned ahead.

With the boost from [Thorn], the already sharp spearhead sliced through like a hot knife through butter, effortlessly stabbing into the camel’s side, piercing through its belly and exiting out the other side.

A heavy blow in one strike!

As the intense pain transmitted through its nerves, the male camel seemed splashed with hot oil, struggling violently.

It used all its strength, fleeing toward a place away from Chen Wen.

While the surrounding camels were still baffled about what was happening.

Swish! Swish!

Two subtle sounds of breaking wind rang out, as two black shadows almost simultaneously stabbed into the camel’s chest, right at the heart.

Hua Yun and Adam!

The two hunters proficient with bows and arrows launched a fatal attack from the sand dune at the side again!

This was Chen Wen’s arrangement.

He had Hua Yun and Adam, both skilled with bows and arrows, lie in ambush to deliver the coup de grâce.

This plan was extremely successful.

After the camel got hit by the arrows, its body staggered, and its speed instantly slowed down.

And just at that moment.

Dennis and Fred, ambushed at the side of the camels, charged out.

Fred swung his axe, charging towards the camel like a bear draped in human skin.

Meanwhile, Dennis wielded a makeshift torch, waving the flames to drive other camels away, separating the heavily injured male camel from the group.

The two successfully completed the plan.

This camel is isolated!

Fred saw the camel was severely injured, so he abandoned his axe and rushed forward barehanded.

Chen Wen initially felt a bit uneasy.

But Fred roared and leapt forward to grab the dromedary camel’s head.

Then, using techniques similar to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he easily tripped the dromedary to the ground.

Impressive!

Seeing this, Chen Wen immediately admired Fred tremendously.

This guy has strong combat skills!

At this moment, Dennis rushed up.

Although he wasn’t good at hunting, he was adept at handling animal carcasses.

Dennis called out, asking Fred to hold down the dromedary’s head.

He then took out a large pot and placed it below the camel’s neck.

A hunting knife suddenly appeared in Dennis’s hand, and he slashed accurately at the camel’s neck.

The next second, a large amount of blood gushed out.

However, Dennis had already controlled the size of the wound, and the arterial blood flowed from the wound directly into the large pot.

The bloodletting lasted a long time.

This camel had a lot of blood.

After all, the camel only has its blood and stomach to store large amounts of water.

The camel’s hump, contrary to popular belief, is not for storing water but mostly fat.

However, camels can satisfy their metabolic needs by oxidizing fat to produce water.

But humans looking to get water from a camel can only rely on its blood and stomach.

The blood from this male dromedary filled two large pots.

Luckily, Chen Wen and his team brought enough pots.

Seeing the camel no longer bleeding, Dennis immediately took the two pots of blood away, covered them, and placed them on the fire to boil.

Then he returned to the camel, took out a hunting knife, and prepared to dissect the camel’s body.

”The camel skin can be kept; after tanning, it can be used to keep warm at night.”

Hua Yun reminded from the side.

Dennis immediately changed his dissection method.

He began from the camel’s abdomen, cutting open its abdominal cavity.

”Wow, Chen Wen, your long spear skills are impressive!”

Seeing the damage to the camel’s internal organs, Dennis couldn’t help but say, ”Not only did you pierce the camel’s body, but you also directly wounded several parts of its internal organs! Even if Hua Yun and the others hadn’t dealt extra damage, this camel couldn’t have run far.”

Taking out the long spear, Chen Wen, wiping the blood stains with camel skin, heard the words and smiled kindly.

But the others couldn’t help but think of the image of Chen Wen’s spear piercing a person.

Then they all shivered simultaneously.

Hua Yun said seriously, ”Unless it’s a critical moment, try to use the wooden spear I made for you against people. Never use this long spear against anyone; if you miss, the opponent won’t survive!”

Chen Wen nodded at Hua Yun’s words.

Apart from a few who have always targeted him, Chen Wen had no intention of killing anyone else.

After all, everyone came here aiming to complete the challenge.

No deep enmity or grudges.

Soon, Dennis found the camel’s stomach in its steaming abdomen.

He took out the camel’s stomach and cut it open with a dagger.

But quickly, Dennis’s expression changed.

He couldn’t help but say, ”Chen Wen, do we really have to drink this stuff?”

As he spoke, Dennis revealed the cut-open camel stomach.

Everyone looked over, and inside was a mixture of green and yellow stuff, and it looked really...

Fred gritted his teeth, ”I’d rather drink my own urine than touch this stuff!”

Adam also felt dizzy for a moment, ”Forget it, let’s not drink this stuff. Even if it’s filtered, I still can’t accept it.”

Although Hua Yun remained silent, his expression was equally uncomfortable.

Seeing that no one could accept it, Chen Wen shook his head, ”Then forget it, but if we’re really dying of thirst, we can try to extract the moisture and distill it to drink. Let’s store it for now, in case Xiao Yuan and the others don’t find water, I’ll distill it tonight.”

Hearing this, Dennis tied the camel stomach tightly with a rope and put it back into the camel’s abdominal cavity.

Then the group moved to the shady side of a sand dune, where they had previously started a fire, and the camel’s blood was boiling on the bonfire.

Once the camel blood boiled, they took the pot down to cool.

When the temperature felt about right, Chen Wen looked at Fred, ”Try it, see if it quenches thirst.”
