Wilderness Survival with Druid System

”Camels? Who tamed this camel before?”

Seeing this camel, everyone opened their mouths wide.

Chen Wen didn’t speak, he just waved at the camel.

It seemed to notice Chen Wen’s gesture, the camel slowly walked towards him, its long neck straightened, and its head gently touched Chen Wen.

Chen Wen smirked and smiled, ”You’re back?”

He gently patted the camel’s head, cleaning the sand off its top.

The camel seemed to feel Chen Wen’s kindness, it knelt down behind him and placed its head on Chen Wen’s leg.

The others widened their eyes, looking behind Chen Wen.

”This camel is back, the other camels should be back too, right?”

”Yeah, I feel they should be back too, maybe they’re behind?”

”Go have a look!”

The group couldn’t wait to stand up and look behind Chen Wen.

But after waiting for a long time, there was nothing but the sandstorm.

Dennis awkwardly sat back down and said, ”Where were we just now?”

Adam rubbed his nose and said, ”Taming camels.”

Fred added, ”We were discussing why the camels ran away earlier, even after we treated them so well.”

Silence.

That statement once again pierced everyone’s hearts.

Chen Wen laughed, looking at everyone, and thought to himself: The animals I tame really are different from others, they all know to come home, not bad, not bad!

He cleared his throat and said, ”Ahem, well, maybe I’m just more liked by animals, so my camel found its way back.”

After a boastful remark, Chen Wen finally got to the point: ”The plan remains the same, we’ll load some supplies onto my camel, and we’ll carry the rest ourselves. Meanwhile, I’ll take the opportunity to find a herd of tamable camels.”

The group nodded silently.

”Time to sleep, time to sleep.”

Adam lay back on the sand, feeling dejected.

...

The next morning.

Urged by Adam, the group got up early.

The sandstorm outside had lessened a lot, and the direction could be discerned.

Under Dennis’s lead, the group placed some grains on Chen Wen’s camel, letting it carry these supplies.

The others then divided and carried the remaining supplies, following behind the camel.

On the road, Chen Wen had the kestrel and hawk fly high, scanning the surroundings to find a herd of single-humped camels.

With a high-altitude view, the kestrel quickly spotted a herd of single-humped camels.

With the kestrel’s melodious cry, Chen Wen looked in the direction it indicated.

”Stop for a moment, there’s a herd of single-humped camels over there.”

Chen Wen gestured for everyone to wait a bit.

He set down the supplies and quickly walked to a high point on a sand dune, looking in the direction pointed out by the kestrel.

After carefully observing this direction, Chen Wen frowned.

”What do you think of this herd of camels?”

The kestrel landed beside Chen Wen and asked.

Chen Wen shook his head slightly, ”Not good, this is a herd entirely made up of male single-humped camels, they’re temperamental and sensitive, easily agitated.”

And there are no special animals inside.

Hearing this, the kestrel couldn’t help but ask, ”So what kind of camel herd are you looking for?”

Chen Wen thought for a moment and said, ”The quantity is almost the same as these camels, but the individuals are different. Alright, look at those camels.”

While speaking, Chen Wen pointed to a few camels in the herd: ”Just look for camels with mouths that have something like a meatball, the kind we’re looking for, ideally has only one male like this, such a group is the camel herd I’m looking for.”

Hearing this, the kestrel nodded with some understanding.

During the breeding season, male single-humped camels will inflate an air sac from their mouths that resembles a meatball.

This sac can attract females, displaying their charm.

Of course, to humans, this thing looks a bit disgusting.

The group Chen Wen was searching for ideally had only one male single-humped camel’s stable group, not an unstable group consisting of many male single-humped camels.

After roughly understanding Chen Wen’s point, the kestrel immediately flapped its wings and flew up.

And Chen Wen returned to the group.

”How did it go?”

Dennis asked.

Chen Wen shook his head, ”No good, it’s a bachelor group consisting entirely of male single-humped camels, hard to tame.”

Hearing this, Dennis nodded decisively, ”That’s indeed the case.”

A bachelor group made up of male single-humped camels is not only unstable, but each member has a volatile temperament.

Trying to tame them is as difficult as climbing the sky!

...

In the following days, Chen Wen and the kestrel persistently looked for herds of single-humped camels and lone single-humped camels.

But the harvest was mediocre.

The encountered single-humped camels were not special, and in the past few days, none of the encountered herds were stable groups led by a single male.

After encountering the fourth bachelor group, Chen Wen couldn’t help but complain, ”Damn it! Are all the single-humped camels in this desert male-favoring? How come they’re all male? Where did the females go?”

Dennis shook his head.

He had no idea what was going on either.

Behind the screen, the old vice president from Australia couldn’t help but laugh.

Beside him, an Australian player preparing for another challenge also chuckled softly.

The Australian player couldn’t help but say, ”They’re a bit unlucky, and not very knowledgeable about single-humped camels.”

”Bachelor groups of only males often linger in the desert, looking for females who have lost their males to form groups, whereas those stable groups of single-humped camels often live near oases and won’t stray far from them.”

The old vice president nodded, ”Indeed, but I’ve noticed the bond between Chen Wen and that kestrel seems stronger.”

”His beast taming skills are unique. If he really finds a stable herd of single-humped camels and can tame a male, he might just be able to take away a whole herd!”

In a stable herd of single-humped camels, the male is the undisputed leader.

The other camels are either the male’s mates or offspring.

If one can tame the male single-humped camel, the entire herd is likely to follow their leader away.

This athlete nodded slightly, ”Yes, but it still depends on his beast taming skills, as male single-humped camel leaders are not so easily subdued.”

...

On Chen Wen’s side, in the following days, they continued to travel.

Soon, the third oasis was in sight.

Dennis saw the third oasis, and a hint of joy flashed across his tired face.

It’s been an extremely tough journey!

Sand kept getting into their shoes, rubbing against their feet, making it unbearable.

Under the direct sunlight, they had to endure the scorching sun and move forward with difficulty.

Without camels, they couldn’t carry heavy water bladders, and the water they brought could barely sustain their vital activities.

By the end, they could hardly sweat anymore.

In this hellish difficulty, what was supposed to be a three-day journey took them nearly five days to reach the third oasis.

”Without camels, we can’t even make it out of this desert!”

Dennis gasped, looking at Chen Wen at the front of the group.

Unlike the exhausted others, Chen Wen was in noticeably better condition.

He nodded and said, ”There will be more herds of camels near the oasis, leave it to me, I’ll tame them!”
