Wilderness Survival with Druid System

The crested goshawk did not know it was treated as prey.

After scouting the situation, it planned to climb higher and return.

Taking advantage of a strong wind, the crested goshawk suddenly spread its wings, contracted its body, and ascended upwards.

At this moment, down in the oasis, Aquinas came with weapons towards the crested goshawk.

The attack range reached!

At this time, up in the sky, the soaring kite through its powerful vision, sharply noticed something was wrong.

It realized that the person below was the guy who had previously shot its companion!

This human was about to strike again!

And the target was the crested goshawk!

The soaring kite suddenly issued a low and abrupt cry, warning the crested goshawk.

Although it could not directly communicate with the crested goshawk, the crested goshawk was inherently a highly social bird of prey. After many days of interaction, the goshawk could understand many meanings of the kite’s cries.

Therefore, after the kite issued the warning cry.

The crested goshawk quickly flapped its wings, accelerating upwards.

And at this moment, Aquinas below drew back his slingshot to the fullest, initiating the attack!

A steel ball tore through the air, emitting deep wind howls, heading directly for the crested goshawk.

Aquinas, with a bit of forethought, aimed above the crested goshawk.

But due to the kite’s warning, the goshawk’s climbing speed increased greatly.

This time the judgment was not precise.

The steel ball grazed the crested goshawk’s belly, though it did not directly hit the goshawk’s body, the high-speed spinning steel ball nonetheless scraped the goshawk’s abdominal skin.

A few drops of fresh blood carried with crested goshawk’s feathers fell from the air—it was injured!

The crested goshawk encountered a sudden ambush, albeit frightened, it managed to brace its body relying on Chen Wen’s prior training and continued to ascend.

Below, Aquinas couldn’t help but smack the ground: ”Damn it, just a little bit off!”

Watching the goshawk ascend even higher, Aquinas shook his head.

Now, the best attack opportunity was lost.

He sighed helplessly and walked back to the camp.

...

In the air, the crested goshawk flew a bit wobbly.

Although the injury was not serious, for birds, after the body is injured, flight posture is greatly affected.

The soaring kite hovered around the crested goshawk, eyes filled with worry.

It was very concerned for the goshawk but couldn’t offer much help.

Therefore, the kite could only follow along, and once the goshawk’s flight became unbalanced, it would use its claws to grab onto the goshawk and assist it in flying.

However, once the goshawk adapted to the injury, it gradually managed to maintain its flight posture.

Struggling to fly, it soon saw Chen Wen.

The crested goshawk swiftly folded its wings and rapidly descended.

The kite also chased up, using sharp calls to alert Chen Wen.

...

Hearing the sound from above, Chen Wen immediately looked up.

”What’s going on?”

Seeing the somewhat shaky flying crested goshawk, Chen Wen’s expression changed slightly.

Injured?

The crested goshawk barely landed on the camel beside Chen Wen, and before he could reach out, it weakly fell onto the camel.

Realizing the goshawk’s condition was off, Chen Wen quickly reached out to catch it.

Others also came over.

Dennis, having keen eyes, quickly noticed something was wrong with the feathers on the goshawk’s belly.

”Its belly seems to be injured!”

Upon hearing this, the worried Chen Wen hurriedly checked the goshawk’s belly.

After careful inspection, he breathed a slight sigh of relief: ”Not a major injury, just a scraped skin, lost some feathers.”

”Luckily, luckily.”

Chen Wen said, quickly placing the Animal Doctor’s blessing on the crested goshawk.

This blessing also brought Chen Wen the goshawk’s entry.

Chen Wen briefly glanced over, selected a relatively suitable entry, and promptly checked the goshawk’s other conditions.

Aside from the belly wound, the goshawk had no other injuries.

Chen Wen breathed a sigh of relief, then looked towards the kite just flown over.

He placed the goshawk on the camel’s back, letting it clutch the camel’s skin, and meanwhile instructed Hua Yun to look after the goshawk for him.

Then took the kite to a distance.

”What happened?”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but ask: ”How did it get hurt? Judging from the wound, it seems to be something scratched it. Did you encounter danger? How are you?”

The kite appeared normal when flying back, so Chen Wen believed it wasn’t injured.

The kite’s next words confirmed that: ”I’m fine, this situation is quite complex, let me think about how to explain it to you.”

Seeing the kite a bit anxious, Chen Wen quickly comforted it: ”It’s okay, don’t rush, take your time.”

The kite nodded.

After briefly considering the sequence of events, it recounted the happenings according to what it had seen and heard.

Upon hearing the kite had spotted the Hunting Owl Organization in the oasis.

Chen Wen’s expression immediately turned serious.

Indeed, those hunters suspected to be from Hunting Owl were in this forest!

And they had attacked the crested goshawk.

This made Chen Wen very angry.

”Alright, I roughly understand how things went down.”

Chen Wen took a deep breath, saying: ”The thing they hold are hot weapons; this is a very terrifying weapon. We can’t risk getting close or attacking them.”

Carefully considering, Chen Wen said: ”Let’s bypass them; we can’t risk entering the second oasis now. After bypassing, we’ll find another way.”

Upon hearing this, the kite understood Chen Wen’s approach was good, yet still felt somewhat down.

Seeing the kite somewhat dispirited, Chen Wen gently patted its body: ”Rest assured, I won’t ignore it; the latest tonight, I’ll take you and settle this group!”

Now, the kite’s eyes brightened.

Back in the team.

Chen Wen declared seriously: ”It’s likely that group of hunters of unknown origin; they’re in the second oasis.”

Upon hearing this, Dennis furrowed his eyebrows.

He hesitated for a moment, then said: ”So...should we still go?”

Adam and Fred didn’t know much.

The two didn’t think much: ”Let’s go, we don’t have any conflict or hostility with them.”

Hua Yun stayed silent; she sensed Chen Wen seemed to have a thought.

Chen Wen inhaled and said: ”Conflict, there should be.”

Glancing at everyone, thinking they probably wouldn’t have any involvement with Hunting Owl.

Chen Wen said seriously: ”There are conflicts between me and them, and significant ones!”

Having already guessed Dennis spoke promptly: ”Then in that case let’s not go, according to the route information provided by the natives, if we go northeast, we can reach an oasis before night, what do you all think?”

Upon realizing the conflict between Chen Wen and the mysterious hunters, everyone decisively agreed to Dennis’s proposal.

Adam chuckled: ”With disputes, might as well avoid them.”

Fred pondered briefly, said: ”You think they’re here blocking you?”

Chen Wen nodded, helplessly smiling.

Fred continued: ”If you need help, just say so!”

Hua Yun glanced at Chen Wen, indicating that shouldering anything would be done together!

Looking at the teammates, Chen Wen felt touched in his heart.
