Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chen Wen held the long spear, fully focused.

He stared at the hole on the ground, his hand slightly trembling as he gripped the spear.

This was a sign of excitement.

At the same time, Chen Wen’s entry ”Swift Attack” had also been triggered.

Just then, Chen Wen’s gaze narrowed, and his vision, enhanced by ”Vision Sight”, suddenly captured the situation at the nearby hole.

From that hole flashed a gray shadow!

Chen Wen immediately took action, and ”Swift” was also triggered.

He suddenly threw the long spear, aiming at the nearby hole.

Before Dennis and Adam could react, the spear had already hit the gray shadow, pinning it to the ground.

Chen Wen’s attack was successful, and he quickly grabbed the spear, effortlessly flicking the impaled gray shadow to the side.

At this time, Dennis and Adam had just realized that a rabbit had appeared.

But seeing as Chen Wen’s swift strike killed the rabbit,

Both of their breaths stalled for a moment.

So fast!

The time it took Chen Wen to react and attack was definitely less than a second!

This speed is simply unbelievable!

Dennis swallowed hard, imagining what he would do if he and Chen Wen were enemies.

Soon, he realized that if he were to be enemies with Chen Wen, he might not even have time to react before having a couple of holes in his body.

And then it would be a big deal.

Ridiculous!

Dennis noticed yet another rabbit emerging.

But Chen Wen was still unbelievably fast!

He threw the long spear, accurately piercing the rabbit and pinning it to the ground.

Next, Chen Wen swiftly pulled out the spear, flinging the rabbit away to avoid hindrance to the upcoming hunt.

Smooth and seamless!

At this moment, a rabbit came out on Adam’s side too.

Adam was holding the bow and arrow, aiming at the burrow.

As soon as the rabbit emerged, he shot an arrow with some predictive intent.

An arrow through the heart!

The rabbit was hit by the arrow and driven by inertia, it rolled several times on the ground.

Accurate!

Dennis gasped once more, how could Adam also be so fierce?

Dennis was distracted, looking towards Adam’s side, neglecting his own situation.

A rabbit suddenly shot out from the hole Dennis was watching, trying to escape under Dennis’s legs.

Dennis didn’t notice it and failed to react, but Chen Wen wouldn’t let the rabbit escape!

He thrust the spear swiftly, with the effect of ”Swift Attack” already enhanced.

Whoosh!

Dennis felt a chill through his legs.

And when he looked down, Chen Wen’s spear was shaking about a finger’s length in front of him, and below the spear was a rabbit pinned dead.

Whoa!

Dennis’s legs went weak, almost collapsing to the ground.

Chen Wen was incredibly fast, though.

He quickly walked beside Dennis, pulled out the spear, and continued monitoring the burrow.

With constant attacks, Chen Wen’s reaction speed was increasingly fast, surpassing human limits.

His movements were also ridiculously fast.

Initially, Dennis could clearly see Chen Wen’s move trajectory, but later, all he could see was the afterimage of Chen Wen’s arm.

Oh my!

Are all people from Hua Country this ridiculous?

Could Chen Wen be from some martial arts family?

Dennis sighed deeply, giving up catching the rabbits.

Chen Wen had completely taken over his side, standing there was only getting in the way.

Therefore, Dennis resignedly moved aside, helping Chen Wen pick up rabbits that were thrown out, and also dealing the final blow to rabbits hit by Adam.

After about fifteen minutes.

Chen Wen and Adam sensed there was no sign of movement from the burrow.

Both rubbed their arms and stopped hunting, feeling exhausted.

Fifteen minutes of intense focus and high-intensity hunting left both physically and mentally drained.

But the harvest was very fruitful.

Dennis came over and reported his count: ”Chen Wen, you killed nine rabbits, Adam killed five.”

Seeing the brown-gray rabbits Dennis was holding, both Chen Wen and Adam showed a trace of joy on their faces.

It was worth the effort!

A total of fourteen rabbits, enough to feed the five of them for several meals.

When mixed with other foods, it could last even longer!

”Well, the harvest is good, and the rabbits themselves are an excellent source of meat, very rich in protein, hailed by the World Rabbit Association as ’beauty meat’ and ’health meat’, and taste very good as well.”

Chen Wen said with a broad smile.

Adam, puzzled, asked Chen Wen, ”World Rabbit Association? What is that?”

”It’s an organization researching how to raise rabbits, how to cook them, and how to protect them.”

Chen Wen, securing his spear, cheerfully explained.

He learned about this organization through his assistant Jiang Chang.

Because Jiang Chang loves eating rabbits, she knows a lot about anything related to rabbits.

At this moment, Dennis brought the rabbits beside the two of them and said, ”Let’s not worry about what association it is for now, what should we do with all these rabbits next?”

Looking at the fourteen rabbits, Chen Wen said, ”Skin them, keep the skins to trade with the natives for supplies, and roast the remaining meat to eat. We can even cook some corn braised rabbit tonight.”

Dennis nodded, thinking Chen Wen’s idea sensible.

The three of them carried the rabbit meat to the water source for processing.

Then they brought the rabbit meat back to the camp.

Seeing the rabbit meat in the hands of the three, Hua Yun and the recovering Fred were amazed.

How long had they been out there?

And yet they brought back so many rabbits?

”Did you guys dig out the rabbit’s nest?”

Hua Yun couldn’t help but ask.

Chen Wen nodded: ”You could say that; we basically overturned their nest and killed ninety percent of the rabbits there.”

Hunting rabbits isn’t illegal.

Moreover, the local government strongly encourages contestants to hunt desert rabbits this time.

The rabbits reproduce incredibly quickly.

They’re in heat all year round, after mating, they can give birth to a litter in a month, and a litter usually contains two to seven rabbits.

In a year, a rabbit can produce up to over eighty rabbits.

And the young rabbits mature at eight months, ready to reproduce, with a lifespan of up to nine years!

Therefore, if left unchecked, rabbits could utterly destroy the fragile desert ecosystem within a few years.

Take Australia, for example.

In Australia, the number of rabbits has surged to billions, initially, there were only twenty-four rabbits.

This is enough to demonstrate the rabbits’ reproduction ability.

Besides, even if Chen Wen and his team didn’t intervene, the local government organizes hunters every year to clean up and hunt rabbits near the oasis.

After a brief discussion about the rabbits,

The group found some shade to rest.

Dennis busied himself cutting up the rabbit, some in chunks, some skewered.

He was preparing dinner.
