Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Dennis was processing the burrow rabbit while the others were not idle either.

Hua Yun went to the water source nearby to clean up, and washed some clothes along the way.

Chen Wen and the others were waiting for Hua Yun to return before they could go.

During this waiting time, Chen Wen thought of some ways to kill time.

He and Adam, along with Fred, took the burrow rabbit’s head.

Using the rabbit’s brain, they did a simple tanning of the rabbit skin.

The tanned leather could be preserved for a longer time and would appear more flexible.

It could be exchanged for more items with the natives.

After Hua Yun returned, Chen Wen and the others handed over the tanning task to Hua Yun.

Then the big men all went to clean themselves.

After a round of cleaning.

The sand hidden in their hair was thoroughly washed away.

Everyone felt refreshed.

And the clothes they’d been wearing for so long, soaked by sweat countless times, were cleaned thoroughly as well.

”Hygiene is also an important part of wilderness survival!”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but remark after cleaning up: ”A clean environment easily makes people feel pleasant, and dirty personal hygiene is more conducive to breeding diseases and bacteria.”

Hearing Chen Wen’s words, Adam nodded in agreement.

If conditions allowed, he would even want to wash once a day.

But unfortunately, in this desert environment, washing once a month was already quite good.

The few of them laid their clothes on rocks to dry.

The high temperatures and direct sunlight in the desert quickly steamed their clothes dry.

Picking up their clothes, the sweat odor had disappeared.

Putting on the dry clothes, Chen Wen felt in great spirits.

After returning to camp, they began to cook.

The burrow rabbit meat was mixed with corn and stewed on the fire all afternoon.

When the lid was lifted, a unique meat aroma combined with the sweet scent of corn rushed into their nostrils like a runaway horse.

”Smells great!”

Adam took a deep breath.

As a qualified survivor, most of the time he only roasted or boiled food.

He had never tried this method of slow cooking to bring out the richness of the meat’s aroma.

Survivors simply didn’t have so much time to spend on cooking.

Chen Wen was the exception.

The five shared the rabbit meat and some corn.

With delicious food in front of them, they couldn’t bother talking anymore.

Chen Wen took the lead by using a stick to pick up a piece of rabbit meat, chewed it, and instantly the sweet aroma of corn filled his mouth.

”Whoa! This corn and rabbit meat are absolutely perfect together! You all should try it!”

Chen Wen exclaimed in surprise: ”Rabbit meat tends to have a gamey flavor, especially wild rabbits, which have a stronger earthy taste, but the sweetness of the corn perfectly enhances the rabbit’s freshness and masks its potential earthy flavor, and the rabbit’s deliciousness also makes the corn tastier, a perfect match!”

Listening to Chen Wen’s description, Hua Yun couldn’t help herself.

Her target was the boiled tender corn.

One bite, and the soft yet springy corn kernels burst into her mouth, and the rich corn fragrance bloomed like a flower bud in her mouth.

Bringing Hua Yun, who had not eaten proper food for a long time, a rather stunning experience.

Furthermore, the corn had a hint of meat aroma, making Hua Yun unable to resist taking two more bites.

”Delicious!”

Hua Yun briefly gave her evaluation and continued eating.

Seeing the expressions of Chen Wen and Hua Yun, the others realized that this stuff was really tasty!

Adam tore into the rabbit leg, and the hot rabbit meat made him exhale heated breaths while frying the rabbit meat again in his mouth.

Meanwhile, Dennis also launched an attack on the corn.

Fred thought for a moment and decided to drink some soup first.

Soon, Fred’s eyes lit up.

Compared to rabbit meat and corn, this soup with a bit of salt was truly delicious!

If he were from Hua Country, he would surely give a thumbs-up and say splendid!

The group ate heartily, and before long, the two pots of rabbit stew were finished to the last drop.

Wanting more, they tore into some camel jerky, but with the corn rabbit soup being so good, the camel jerky seemed unimpressive.

After eating the rabbit meat, Chen Wen quickly made a choice from the options.

The choices provided by the burrow rabbit were...limited.

[For natural creation—burrow rabbit, plunder!]

[Plundering... Plundering complete!]

[Please choose one from the following three entries]

[Warlike (Purple): Against peers, your aggressiveness will increase, and you will become more irritable]

[Note: Can’t handle the beasts outside, but can handle you?—Burrow Rabbit]

[Enhanced Reproduction Ability (Golden): Significantly increase your reproductive desire, enhance reproductive capacity, shorten mating time, and increase frequency]

[Note: Born!—Burrow Rabbit]

[Habitat (Golden): Significantly improve your efficiency in digging burrows, you will be more adept at finding suitable places to dig burrows, and the dug burrow will be more comfortable]

[Note: Still, a burrow dug by oneself is more comfortable to live in!—Burrow Rabbit]

[Please choose within a minute or forfeit! If overdue, the first entry will be automatically selected!]

These three entries were truly without suspense.

Chen Wen chose [Habitat], a powerful entry that made it easier to dig shelters.

After selecting the entry.

Chen Wen and the others scrubbed the pot with clean sand, then rinsed it with water.

The pot looked brand new.

As the sky grew darker, the group no longer ventured out, instead staying by the campfire, taking turns on night watch duty.

...

Chen Wen’s night watch shifted in after 1 AM.

After completing his watch, he hastily lay on the camel to catch some sleep.

Perhaps because he ate well, Chen Wen had a rare dream.

In the dream, he kept moving forward in the Great Sand Desert.

Suddenly the sky ahead darkened, forming a sandstorm shaped like a snake’s head.

Just as the sandstorm suddenly pounced, Chen Wen watched the sandstorm nervously.

Chen Wen felt something gently brushing his face.

He abruptly woke up.

”What’s that?”

Chen Wen sat up abruptly, looking around.

As he touched his face, the whistling kite anxiously gazed at him.

”What’s wrong?”

Chen Wen, adjusting his mood, looked at the whistling kite.

The whistling kite called out: ”There’s a group of animals approaching the oasis! Larger than me!”

Chen Wen was stunned.

The whistling kite was familiar with camels but didn’t say it was camels.

In this desert, animals larger than the whistling kite, especially in groups.

Chen Wen suddenly clapped his forehead.

Looking around the camp, the sky had already brightened.

But the others were still resting, with Fred the last on night watch, drowsily leaning on the dromedary.

Seeming to hear the commotion from Chen Wen’s direction, Fred perked up, looking towards Chen Wen.

”Trouble, wake the others!”

Chen Wen said seriously, Fred was momentarily stunned before quickly waking the others.

After waking, everyone looked at Chen Wen, somewhat bewildered.

By this time, Chen Wen was standing with the long spear.

He already had the whistling kite and the tawny eagle fly up into the sky to scout the situation.

”What happened?”

Seeing Chen Wen with the long spear, Hua Yun immediately sensed something was likely happening.

She grabbed her bow and arrows, along with the machete from their supplies.

Chen Wen was about to speak seriously.

In the distance, accompanied by barking sounds.

The uninvited guests reaching the oasis at dawn gradually revealed themselves.

Dennis swallowed hard; he recognized the sound too well: ”Australian Wild Dog Pack!”
