Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Fang Zheng discovered that the power of destiny is immense.

Such as when he woke up from his dreams, had breakfast, and walked out of his room, the first news he heard from Darth Vader was...

”They escaped again?”

Fang Zheng looked speechlessly at the Darth Vader in front of him. Although the latter had a mask on, making it difficult to read his expression, Fang Zheng could imagine his mood couldn’t be too pleasant.

”Yes, during their transfer, they took down the guards and escaped the prison, piloting a spaceship away... but this is not a problem, we are tracking them, and soon we’ll have results.”

”......”

Fang Zheng silently stared at Darth Vader without speaking.

Come on, Lord Wei, others might not know, but I do know those two are your own son and daughter. Wasn’t this a deliberate release on your part? Are you trying to emulate Zhuge Liang’s seven captures of Meng Huo?

”In fact, we already have a lead.”

Perhaps being stared at by Fang Zheng made him a bit embarrassed, Darth Vader coughed and awkwardly changed the topic.

”A bounty hunter is tracking them down, and as soon as we know their destination, we’ll set out immediately. This time, we won’t let them escape.”

”Hmm, let’s hope so...”

What else could Fang Zheng say to this? He could only shrug his shoulders helplessly. But then he paused for a moment, recalling... bounty hunter... pursuit?

That’s right! Just this part!

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng immediately remembered that in ”The Empire Strikes Back,” Darth Vader learned of Han Solo and Princess Lia’s location through a bounty hunter, designed a trap to catch them, and even froze Han Solo into a popsicle. Then at this time, trained by Yoda, Luke arrived and engaged in an earth-shaking duel with Darth Vader, after which Darth Vader cut off Luke’s right hand, leading to that iconic scene.

Darth Vader: ”I’m your father!”

Luke: ”No......!!!!”

Fang Zheng isn’t even a Star Wars fan; he’s just watched a few Star Wars movies. But for this gag that even passersby know about, Fang Zheng is, of course, very clear on. This is a famous scene! A rare opportunity not to be missed, he must observe it on-site and shoot from every angle, 360 degrees!

”Then, please allow me to accompany.”

”Of course, Mr. Fang Zheng, we also need to leverage your strength.”

In response to Fang Zheng’s request, Darth Vader did not oppose, in fact, after Fang Zheng revealed his skills earlier on Planet Six, Darth Vader immediately had ideas about the power Fang Zheng possessed, and Fang Zheng was well aware of this.

Actually, the Galactic Empire is not without communication network capabilities. Their holographic image communications were also developed, but every world’s focus is slightly different, leading to shifts in the situation.

Take holographic images, for example, the technology of the Galactic Empire can’t even compare with the VR and AR technology of Game World. Yet, the latter hasn’t even charged past the Earth-Moon orbit, much less being able to construct a gigantic superluminal warship like a Star Destroyer.

Not to mention, the Galactic Empire, across the entire star system, possesses a holographic network that even The Matrix of Hackers would bow to.

So it’s clear that every world’s technology focus is different, some focus on military, some on entertainment, some on technology, some on diplomacy, and each technology tree variant leads to different outcomes.

Game World obviously focused on entertainment, while this Milky Way plans to max out their military technology.

This made Fang Zheng recall a black comedy movie he watched before called ”Iron Sky,” where Nazis reached the moon, and without modern computers, used punch-card computers to create gigantic warships and flying saucers that even Earth with its Apple technology couldn’t build... well, this scenario is quite similar to the Galactic Empire now. They possess quite exaggerated technology levels—exaggerated in a way that’s not necessarily a good word. As Fang Zheng saw it, the informational network domain of the Galactic Empire could only be considered slightly above average at the core level.

Yet, with this technology level, they created a super first-class cross-galaxy holographic communication network... well, it’s like someone using 1960s technology to create a universe warship capable of superluminal navigation. Aside from brute force, there’s indeed nothing much more to say.

After some chatting, Fang Zheng turned and bid farewell, returning to his room to review the reports sent by Eiriri and Shihou Souki. He had to admit, these two young girls were quite talented, it was rare for Fang Zheng to see Eiriri showcasing talents beyond drawing books...

Well, a side note, according to Eiriri’s report, lately in her spare time, she’s started drawing a new book, featuring Princess Lia and the Alien Bug X, narrating the Princess’s journey escaping the Galactic Empire’s pursuit, mistakenly landing on a planet, captured by the alien life inside, leading to various things happening... well, according to Eiriri, this book is selling hot in the Galactic Empire’s underground network...

As for why Eiriri chose Lia, it’s simple, because she’s a princess, and princesses are a staple character in books...

What else could Fang Zheng say to this? He can only hope Eiriri doesn’t get exposed, otherwise, if Darth Vader finds out you’re using his daughter as book material, he’d probably strangle you...

In fact, how Darth Vader feels is unknown, but Princess Lia really has the urge to strangle Eiriri.

”What is this nonsense!”

Lia furiously threw the data disc on the table, her face livid. After finally escaping the grip of the Galactic Empire, she was quite happy. Yet when she finally found the Rebel Forces, she was told that the Empire was privately spreading ”tragic tales” about her. Lia initially thought that the Galactic Empire was trying the usual scare tactic of threatening and intimidating her to submit under torture and questioning, but rather...

”It’s disgusting, too disgusting!!!”

Princess Lia angrily hurled the data disc onto the ground, stomping it into fragments, while beside her, Han Solo watched her with a peculiar expression.

”I say, you didn’t really...”

”Of course not! How could I possibly have such an encounter! This is slander! It’s defamation!”

What’s most infuriating for Lia is that in the ”record” on the data disc, after fleeing to that planet and undergoing such ordeals, initially she still tried her best to resist, but in the end, she succumbed to the silver might of that alien creature! She even got pregnant and gave birth to a small creature, and after accomplishing its mission, the big creature died, leaving Princess Lia to depart the planet...

”This is all slander! Nonsense! Shameless! This is an insult to me!!”

Princess Lia was so angry she was jumping, especially when she heard from others that this thing had already been sold to the borders of the Empire... Princess Lia even had thoughts of wanting to die.

What made Lia more furious was that afterward, she actually discovered that a ”prequel” had been released, claiming that before escaping the Galactic Empire due to a starship malfunction, she was captured by Darth Vader, brainwashed, and subjected to various exploitative scenarios. Although these works did not use her real name but ”Lily” instead, the appearance, figure, and tone of the character in the book were undeniably hers!

The most damning thing was how lifelike these were drawn, making Princess Lia even start to doubt whether Darth Vader really did such things while brainwashing her... No, that shouldn’t be the case, right?

But if not, then why put out such a storyline!

Could it be that bastard Darth Vader really did such things to me?

Though this was bothersome enough, the most disastrous was the influence of this book. Thanks to it, many people are looking at Lia with abnormal expressions, making her so depressed and frustrated that she almost wants to hang herself. Princess Lia knows that the Galactic Empire wants to eliminate her, but she never imagined their methods would be so despicable!

Simply inhuman!!

”If I find that bastard Eiri Hakugai, I am definitely going to kill him!”

Lia swore that when the time comes, she would shoot that bastard dead!!!

Although Lia was eager to capture the author and dismember him, priority was given to other urgent matters. As they were escaping the Imperial Army, the Millennium Falcon suffered serious damage, so Han Solo had to drive it to an acquaintance to ask for repairs.

The acquaintance agreed to their request, and upon knowing the Millennium Falcon would be fixed, Princess Lia and Han Solo were finally able to relax, afterward proceeding to a meal led by a man named Lando.

”Aren’t you afraid the Empire will come looking for trouble?”

Walking beside his friend, Han Solo couldn’t help but ask curiously. He knew how powerful the Empire was, and his friend only ruled a small outpost. If the Empire knew they were hiding here, it could bring trouble to Lando.

Regarding Han Solo’s inquiry, Lando helplessly shook his head.

”It’s indeed a danger and has troubled us for a long time, but now we’re safe, there’s no need to worry about it anymore.”

At this time, Lando stopped in front of a big door.

”I just made a deal.”

With those words, the door swished open, revealing Darth Vader and Fang Zheng sitting inside.

”-----!”

Han Solo’s face changed dramatically at that moment, hurriedly drawing his gun to aim at Darth Vader. However, the latter merely stretched out his right hand, and Han Solo’s gun flew out, landing in Darth Vader’s hand.

Simultaneously, fully armed Imperial Soldiers swiftly appeared, surrounding the group.

”You...”

Han Solo looked at his friend, showing an incredulous expression, while the latter lowered his head.

”Sorry, I had no choice, they arrived before you did.”

”Take them away.”

Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and soon the soldiers swarmed in, pressing the group toward the prison.

”Can’t believe you’d betray your friends!”

Princess Lia angrily glared at Lando, who wore a sorrowful expression.

”What choice do I have, Miss? You might not understand what’s happened. I succumbed to the Empire not only due to their overwhelming power but also because they’ve now seized control of the entire outpost! Do you understand what I mean? I don’t know how they did it, that man just waved his hand and took control of the entire outpost, including all the robots...”

”Wait, that man? Who? Are you talking about Darth Vader?”

Hearing this, Lia’s eyes suddenly brightened, hurriedly pursuing the question.

”No, it’s another man. I don’t know his identity, but he doesn’t seem to be Darth Vader’s subordinate. In short, this outpost is completely beyond my control now. All I can do is obey the Empire’s orders; only then will they return control of the outpost to me.”

While speaking, Lando showed a hint of a bitter smile.

”Sorry, I really have no choice.”

”..........”

Listening to Lando’s words, Princess Lia and Han Solo exchanged a glance, seeing the horror and anxiety in each other’s eyes. They still recalled how the equipment at the Planet No. 6 Rebel Forces base completely failed, and precisely due to that mysterious, potent, and unstoppable force, the Rebel Forces were continuously defeated.

And now, was that man the main cause of all this?

What should they do then?
