Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The horrifying state of the camp almost terrified everyone. They found those torn bodies, and others that seemed to be dissected. No one knew what had happened, but there was a tacit agreement of silence among them, as if they deliberately wanted to ignore everything here, burying the bodies away, and then began checking the camp’s losses and collecting specimens as if nothing had happened.

It was as if Professor Lake and his team had accidentally died in a blizzard, rather than having died at the hands of something unspeakable, unmentionable, and unbearable.

Professor Mike, along with his assistant, piloted a plane to the area that Professor Lake had previously mentioned, and Fang Zheng stealthily followed them. Amid the panicking atmosphere in the camp, few people cared about their whereabouts, so there was naturally no need to worry about this issue.

As they flew the plane over what appeared to be the angle of a square-shaped mountain, amidst their screams of surprise, Fang Zheng also witnessed the secret hidden within this chaotic mountain range.

Between the canyons, amidst the raging blizzard, a city stood tall. It was constructed with massive stones in a style that was nearly surrealist naturalism. While the towers, houses, and every building seemed to have shapes, these shapes resembled patterns drawn randomly on a canvas by addicts suffering from psychosis rather than a city drawn by any supposedly ”normal” person.

No, what we call normal is only humanity’s normal. Every race has its style, and the aesthetic of the Swarm is vastly different from that of humans.

Soon, their plane landed in an open area within the city. Professor Mike and his assistant went ahead toward certain doom, while Fang Zheng leisurely strolled off the plane and wandered through the city.

Although the city’s exterior was in shapes unimaginable by humans, the internal spaces were vast and adorned with exquisite murals, clearly depicting the history recorded by The Ancient One.

However, Fang Zheng wasn’t interested in this history. This city was utterly destroyed, and The Ancient Ones had long since left, with nothing remaining—unless you count the relics lost in the annals of time.

Still, Fang Zheng didn’t care about the history of The Ancient Ones. Instead, he pondered a question during his journey.

That is, the different perspectives of different civilizations.

Different cultures, art, and aesthetics of each race lead to varied perspectives on the world. The Swarm isn’t like the Serretian, Alisa isn’t the same as humans, putting it this way, Cthulhu and humans differ as well, and even among alien life, Cthulhu and The Ancient Ones have great disparities.

Every world is like this. In the Main World, differences exist among elves, dwarves, and humans. Dwarf women like to grow beards, which currently isn’t in line with human aesthetics. But this doesn’t mean anything or change anything. Every race and civilization is like this.

But... what if there’s an attempt to assimilate?

The Devil tempts believers to see mortals from the Devil’s perspective, leading the believers to naturally fall into the path the Devil desires. Isn’t Cthulhu the same? It invades people’s dreams, assimilating their spiritual waves, prompting humanity to experience the world from Cthulhu’s perspective. However, this experience is entirely different, shattering humanity’s fundamental worldview, hence why they collapse and go insane...

...Hmm?

Suddenly, a spark of insight flashed in Fang Zheng’s mind.

He suddenly remembered, according to the Goddess of Order, the Order Clan also attempts to use their perspective to reshape the entire world’s order, trying to fix reality with their ”viewpoint,” eliminating Chaos...

Then conversely, isn’t the destruction of order also a result of the Clan of Chaos defining the world from their perspective?

Wait, is this world also an experimental field of the Goddess of Order?!

At this moment, Fang Zheng suddenly saw the light.

Indeed, typically, every civilization views the world from its own perspective, which is normal. A dragonfly’s view and a cat’s are naturally different, and an ant’s perspective is entirely opposite to that of an elephant. But this doesn’t lead to any issues; elephants don’t force ants to learn from them, nor do cats consider viewing problems from a dog’s perspective.

Even in other worlds, humans and aliens mostly retain disputes, reaching consensus.

However, here, why do so many alien races possess a trait that, once observed by humans, compels them to unify their spirits with theirs?

As the saying goes, if you can’t beat them, join them.

Could it be that the Goddess of Order is trying to devise a way to integrate both Order and Chaos, reconciling their positions as a whole?

Indeed, thinking about it, the relationship between humans and extraterrestrial visitors in this world is very much like the Order Clan’s relationship with Chaos. The former firmly holds onto its worldview, but upon encountering the latter, it immediately collapses. The Order Clan was even wiped out because of this... So, is the Goddess of Order attempting to find a compromise and integration point between each perspective through this experiment?

But since the Goddess of Order herself has long been dead, does this mean the experiment has also failed...

That’s natural. Take Fang Zheng himself; although he long discarded the human body and became a Time Dragon and Swarm Overlord, his worldview and thoughts remain human. It’s ingrained from birth, and perhaps it can be distorted, but to completely overturn it is utterly impossible.

In fact, even if you reverse these three views, it’s still from a human standpoint rather than that of other creatures.

Take, for instance, racial massacre; even if it’s an evil version of a person, he knows what he’s doing is wicked, he just doesn’t care.

But in the eyes of the Swarm and other alien life forms, does this matter at all?

How is this different from them going out to order a bowl of noodles?

Evil? Justice? What are those?

The same goes for Order and Chaos. Those Order Clan members who have been corrupted probably end up completely breaking down like humans who have seen Cthulhu.

But how to solve this problem... It’s really difficult...

Just as Fang Zheng was thinking and pacing, suddenly, a strange, foul odor wafted over. Fang Zheng stopped in his tracks, squinted towards the direction where the smell originated, and saw a corner of the room he was in, a fog appeared at a forty-five-degree angle, and soon after, under Fang Zheng’s gaze, a head slowly emerged from the fog.

It was a sharp, thin head, like that of a skinned jackal, covered with a greenish slime. It only had two front paws, no hind paws, looking like some kind of evolutionary failure of a creature. Facing Fang Zheng, the creature opened its mouth and emitted a piercing scream that shivered the entire time axis.

Soon after, it suddenly lunged, extending its front paws as it leaped towards Fang Zheng.

However, facing the creature’s attack, Fang Zheng merely raised his right hand silently and slapped its head forcefully.

”Bang!!”

The creature, which had lunged at Fang Zheng, was immediately slapped to the ground. It raised its head again, but unlike its previous snarling appearance, the creature now uttered a ”whimpering” whisper, then hurriedly turned around and scrambled back into the fog in a panic.

Oh, trying to run?

Seeing this, Fang Zheng squinted his eyes while fixating on the creature’s form, then took one step forward.

Just one step.

This step crossed the boundaries of time, breaking through the nodes of past, present, and future. The sea of time covered the material world, unveiling the endless time axis which now revealed its true self before Fang Zheng.

It was a gigantic wolf.

Its entire body seemed to consist of interlocking sharp horns, forming a wolf-like shape. Its body was the condensation of time, with its eyes reflecting the past worlds. And beside it, the creatures that had attacked Fang Zheng previously seemed to follow it like a pack following the alpha wolf.

It was the ruler of angular time, traversing the depths of time’s isles, known as Musesha—the Lord of Tindalos.

”Magnificent.”

Upon seeing the giant wolf before him, Fang Zheng’s eyes lit up. He could feel the condensed power of time from the other, that beauty, that allure... The Time Dragon blood within him stirred restlessly, as it had when he encountered Tokisaki Kurumi and Akemi Homura. Everything connected to time was the most fascinating treasure for the Time Dragon.

And this giant wolf was no exception, concealed within the characteristics of time, making it the rarest of creatures. Such an existence to a Time Dragon was nothing less than priceless. Whenever a Time Dragon laid eyes on such prey, it would never let it escape.

Fang Zheng was no exception.

”I’ve come to find you.”

Smiling slightly at the creature before him, Fang Zheng stepped forward again—immediately, the pitch-black Giant Dragon emerged from the sea of time, causing the stream of time in front of him to roar, churn, and finally calm. Like the king of time addressing wrongs, all subjects blocking its path knelt humbly to the ground.

Meanwhile, Musesha also sensed the hostile intent, opening its mouth to reveal jagged sharp teeth, letting out a low growl. But even so, Fang Zheng had no intention of retreating. The pitch-black Giant Dragon narrowed its golden dragon pupils, opened its mouth, and released a roar filled with deep and intense desire.

”Become my pet, little one, I’ll prepare a beautiful collar for you.”

However, before Fang Zheng’s words were even finished, in the next moment, with a roar, the pitch-black horned giant wolf leaped up, launching an attack on the Time Dragon before it.
