Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Mr. Fang Zheng!!!”

When Fang Zheng returned to the camp, he saw Fina hurrying forward to meet him.

”The misleading mist has disappeared, what exactly happened in there?”

”Well, it was some information about the Goddess...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng turned his head, and saw the area where the mist had once shrouded was now clear, leaving only a snow-covered plain, with nothing else around.

”It’s more or less an experiment ground for the Goddess... There’s nothing particularly special inside. However, speaking of that, Lady Fina, has there been any change during our absence?”

”Change?”

Facing Fang Zheng’s blunt question, Fina was taken aback. Then she pondered for a moment and shook her head.

”Sorry, I haven’t heard of any special news at the moment.”

”Is that so...”

Upon hearing Fina’s response, Fang Zheng furrowed his brow. Just after returning to the Main World, he had Nymph contact Heavenly Dao Palace and several other coordinate points, all of which stated everything was normal. This made Fang Zheng breathe a sigh of relief. In hindsight, the Goddess of Order conducting experiments at the Twilight Frontier surely meant she had already transformed the Main World’s planet, so even if the timeline had been altered, it wouldn’t impact things prior to that.

”So, Mr. Fang Zheng, what information did you get from in there? You’ve been gone for several months, and if it weren’t for Heavenly Dao Palace sending me messages, I would’ve thought something had happened to you.”

”Hmm...”

Confronted with Fina’s inquiry, Fang Zheng thought for a moment, then shrugged his shoulders.

”I had a talk with the Goddess of Order.”

”Huh?!”

Upon hearing this, Fina’s expression drastically changed.

”Is Lady Goddess still alive?”

”No, at least not along this timeline. I found the memories of the Goddess of Order at that place and spoke with the version of her within those memories, learning a few things.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng looked at Fina.

”Lady Fina.”

”Yes.”

”What would you think if I told you that the world you live in was created?”

”...?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Fina tilted her head in confusion.

”Wasn’t our world originally created by Lady Goddess?”

”What I mean is, including the Goddess of Order, everything might actually have been created by a higher existence. What do you think?”

”Hmm...”

This time, Fina thought deeply for a while before opening her eyes.

”I feel... it doesn’t seem impossible. After all, you see, the Goddess of Order created us, so it’s quite normal for similar things to happen, isn’t it?”

”That’s true, indeed, it’s quite normal.”

Responding to Fina’s reply, Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders and showed a wry smile. He agreed with Fina’s thoughts. Honestly, Fang Zheng didn’t particularly enjoy pondering such philosophical questions because, to him, it seemed meaningless.

Take deities for instance, one might say deities are powerful alien races, or deities are just humans who have mastered immense power, or deities reside in higher dimensions.

However, even if you write a hundred thousand-word thesis to explain it, what’s the point?

Can I not just send you off to the Western Paradise with a flick of my finger?

Whether aliens or humans who possess great power, or beings in higher dimensions, if I sneeze, won’t you still die?

So if now a transmigrator were to run in front of Fang Zheng and scream ”You’re no deity, you’re just an ordinary person with great power like us!”, Fang Zheng wouldn’t even bother to pay attention, at most send him to the crematorium with a snap.

The same? If you’re capable, you snap your fingers and send me to the crematorium then?

Can you do it?

Those characters in novels who jump around angrily after hearing such words are truly lacking in stature. The essence of deities is something everyone has their own opinions on, but at least the fact that deities are stronger than mortals is unquestionable.

It’s like someone passionately asserting that the sun is not a deity; it is merely a star within a star system, lacking personal will, and incapable of causing harm to you—spoken well, but would you dare look directly at the sun or jump into it for a swim?

No, right?

Hehe.

”If everything here goes smoothly, I plan on departing temporarily.”

”Huh?”

Hearing this, Fina was taken aback.

”Mr. Fang Zheng is leaving?”

”Yes, as you know, the battle between us and Chaos has lasted for so long, but in fact, how to end all this, and eliminate the Chaos Tide, we still don’t even have a concrete plan.”

Fang Zheng spread his hands helplessly as he spoke.

”So, I plan to search around and see if I can obtain some information. Remember what I told you earlier? If the Goddess of Order was also created by some higher being, maybe we can seek their help.”

”I see......”

Fina frowned, thinking anxiously for a moment.

”But, if they really exist, would they be willing to help us? Also, I always feel a bit uneasy, given that the Chaos Tide has been happening for so long. If someone indeed created the world, perhaps they would have noticed by now. But why haven’t they intervened?”

”Maybe they’ve forgotten.”

”Forgotten........?”

”It’s quite normal, you see, if I were to develop a world, I’d at most push that planet to the stage of civilized enlightenment. You can’t expect me to watch over that world daily, can you? For how long? A thousand years? Ten thousand years? A hundred thousand? A million years? I have so many things to do at the Heavenly Dao Palace, who has the leisure to watch over a world all the time.”

”Uh........”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s words, Fina’s expression was a bit subtle — thankfully, she had at least inherited the memory of the reincarnated form of the Goddess of Order, otherwise, if it were someone from the Sanctuary, they might have fainted right away.

There’s another point Fang Zheng didn’t mention, which is unless there is a vast lifespan difference between the two. For example, humans can observe the entire life cycle of an ant from birth to death because, for ants, a long life is just a few days or years in the eyes of humans — of course, except for entomologists, who would be bored enough to spend over a decade studying ants?

And given the considerable length of time that has passed in this world, no one showing up indicates there’s about an eighty percent chance it has been forgotten by the creator.

It’s like LEGO bricks, once played with and tossed into a box, no one cares anymore, right?

For the civilizations of this world, this approach might seem cruel, but it’s also normal. Just like Fang Zheng, after dealing with things at the Second and Third Coordinate Points, he lets go. If nothing happens for a long time, he might eventually forget there’s even such a place. Maybe after millions of years, Fang Zheng gets curious and revisits Earth at the Second Coordinate Point, only to find it’s become a world ruled by monkeys.

Hmm...... Fang Zheng would be dumbfounded too.

What happened here?

For the people of that world, perhaps the end of the world would be a huge deal, they might resent why the Deity didn’t help them, wasn’t it said that the Deity protects the world?

But the fact is — the Deity is also very busy, busy with building harems, dating, experimenting, managing territories...... why bother with a world that’s practically unrelated to them?

If you send a signal, maybe out of curiosity, I might come to take a look, but if you can’t even muster that, then you just have to accept your fate.

So......

”I want to go and search for information on the Order Clan and see if I can find any clues.”

Fang Zheng didn’t know if the Order Clan had reached that level, in fact, it’s still a question whether the so-called high-rank race that created this world even exists. But the issue of the Chaos Tide must be resolved. Now he has repaired the coordinate points and built an iron Great Wall outside the Main World planet, which means even if the Chaos Tide erupts again, the Main World and the Heavenly Dao Palace at least have the means to resist.

”During the time I am away, I’ll be entrusting this planet to you, also, I have agreed to the plan with the Lord of Hell. I will send them to that planet.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng pointed towards a distant crimson planet in the sky.

”It’s neither too near nor too far, with a rather harsh environment, and......”

At this point, Fang Zheng lowered his voice, looking around to make sure no one was present before whispering softly to Fina’s ear.

”Mephist told me a piece of news, not all Devil Lords are willing to go to the New World. The First Layer Lord Bayer has teamed up with the Third Layer Lord intending to attack the Main World once more — this time, Mephist will not stop, in fact, he’ll relish it, and likewise, neither will I, sorry, the Heavenly Dao Palace’s resources are limited, and...... people tend to only learn lessons when faced with hardships.”

”........I understand what you mean, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Hearing this, Fina’s expression was slightly troubled.

”So, we’re about to face an invasion from Hell?”

”That’s right, if you can demonstrate sufficient strength, then Mephist will take the opportunity to bring Hell over, but if you can’t...... well, at least I can find you a place on another planet.”

”This is our homeland, we will not abandon this land.”

Fina clenched the staff in her hand.

”Thank you for the warning, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

”You’re welcome, because this expedition is very important to me, so I have to warn you. Knowing Mephist’s character, since he told me, it’s clear he’s planning to act after I leave. So, there’s only so much I can do, you’ll have to rely on yourselves, of course — the Heavenly Dao Palace will observe and assist as needed. However, because this doesn’t involve the war between Chaos and Order, we won’t dispatch ground troops to participate.”

If the war between Order and Chaos is a clash between survival and destruction, then the war between the Main World and Hell is more like a conflict between the lawful good and lawful evil factions, with the Heavenly Dao Palace as a neutral lawful faction, clearly not suitable to get involved.

”Just as you said, if we are blinded by this false peace before us, what awaits us is an irreversible future.”

As she spoke, Fina extended her hand.

”I wish you a safe journey, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

”And I hope you can resolve it smoothly, Lady Fina.”

Fang Zheng smiled, then extended his hand to grasp Fina’s.
