Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

In Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Empire, Fang Zheng met with the Emperor of the Galactic Empire, the legendary ultimate behind-the-scenes boss, Palpatine.

In fact, the process of their meeting was much more pleasant than imagined.

As a possessor of the Dark Force, Palpatine and Darth Vader naturally sensed the unbelievably strong power within Fang Zheng. And for Palpatine, who worships power, he could hardly put on any airs in front of Fang Zheng, so the exchange between the two went very smoothly, at least on the surface.

Fang Zheng hoped that Palpatine would open up the Empire’s internal historical research materials on the Force to him—he was certain that the Force of this world should have some connection with the Goddess of Order, and as the Emperor of the Galactic Empire and a master of the Dark Force, Palpatine would surely preserve these materials.

In return, Fang Zheng would help Palpatine suppress the dark side of the Force from eroding him and provide a certain level of technical support to the Empire in its fight against the Rebel Army.

”The power of darkness is indeed strong.”

Walking on the wide road and looking at the boundless starry sky outside the window, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but sigh.

”When we look at the starry sky, gazing at the endless darkness in the universe, we are indeed in awe. But that’s not the reason for kneeling and prostrating, light, darkness, are both just a form of order. Without light, there is no darkness, without darkness, light cannot be manifested either.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng glanced at Palpatine beside him.

”Our view is that order is order, without distinguishing between light and darkness; being overly fixated on one would lose the possibility of progress, Mr. Palpatine. Love and hate, life and death, good and evil are not the ultimate opposing entities, power is just power, it does not differ because you label it as light or dark. Mr. Palpatine, going to extremes is not beneficial in anything, being overly indulged in darkness would also cause problems.”

”Hehehe, the Force is just the Force... that’s an interesting thought, I have never thought about it this way before.”

Palpatine’s voice sounded somewhat weary.

”All along, I have been in pursuit of power, strong power, I desire to control everything, to conquer everything, so I need power...”

”Power is a tool, a means, I equally need power, because only power, and not slogans, can achieve goals.”

Fang Zheng shook his head, then snapped his fingers.

The next moment, the surroundings suddenly turned into a void. Seeing this scene, a look of amazement appeared on Palpatine’s face, but soon he regained his composure.

”This is...”

”Let me tell a story; a long, long time ago, in a certain star system, there was a life form called Naaru.”

Fang Zheng spread his hands, and with his gesture, a Tangram emitting holy radiance appeared in front of Palpatine. Seeing this sacred Tangram, a surprised expression appeared on Palpatine’s face, but he did not speak, instead quietly watching Fang Zheng continue his narrative.

”It possesses a very strong power of the Holy Light, well... you could regard it as the Light Side Force. Naaru is also revered by the people of another world, they worship Naaru and draw power from the Holy Light. Of course, much like your Light and Dark Force, they also view the Holy Light as a symbol of brightness and benevolence.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but curl his lips slightly. In the classification system of the Main World, the Light Side Force is the Enchantment School, while the Dark Force is the Elemental System. In this world, people regard the powerful Dark Force as evil, but in Fang Zheng’s opinion, the supposedly benevolent Light Side Force, capable of manipulating others’ minds freely, seems even more sinister!

After all, even the Priests in Hearthstone use Thought Theft and Mental Manipulation.

Indeed, all ravens under heaven are black alike.

The heart of those playing with the Holy Light is impure.

”However, none of this is unchanging forever.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, Palpatine could see that the radiance surrounding Naaru gradually began to fade, becoming dark. Then... the surrounding darkness seemed to be attracted, gathering in front of Naaru, gradually filling it. And Naaru’s radiance grew dim.

”Light disperses, and darkness rises.”

Fang Zheng stood with his hands clasped behind his back, watching the scene in front of him. Palpatine widened his eyes, staring intently ahead.

Finally, under their gaze, the once pure white, holy radiant Naaru suddenly transformed, changing its form. The originally pure white figure turned pitch black, exuding a deep purple radiance, possessing the wild power of a darkness form.

”The void descends, the light dissipates.”

Seeing this, Palpatine excitedly clenched his hands, as if he saw his own future, saw the end of all this. And Fang Zheng also sensed the elderly man’s excited emotions beside him, he silently smiled.

”But, this is not the end yet.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng extended his hand, quickly, the pitch black, wild, strong Power of the Void wrapped around it.

”The power of the void can also be used, they are powerful, uncontrolled, capable of bringing destruction and death—just like the Dark Force. However, just as things reach an extreme, they begin to reverse, the energy of darkness is not infinite.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, a massive amount of Power of the Void was drawn out from the Dark Naaru’s body, and its form began to change again, the darkness gradually receding, and then suddenly, Naaru turned, and in the next moment, as if washed over by an invisible stream, the darkness abruptly dissipated, and the radiant light once again emerged from Naaru’s body, enveloping the entire universe.

”This, this is...”

Seeing this, Palpatine was almost unable to contain himself. He clenched his fists, his eyes wide open, and his dry, skinny body kept trembling. He could feel that this was no illusion; this power, this indescribable sensation, made everything suddenly clear to him!

He didn’t know when, but everything before him had returned to normal.

”I think this might provide some inspiration for you, Mr. Palpatine.”

Fang Zheng chuckled, standing with his hands behind his back as he looked at Palpatine. Although Palpatine is a villain in Star Wars, he is also a master of the Dark Force. If Fang Zheng had to say, Palpatine is very similar to those self-cultivating Great Demons in the Immortal Hero world, whose strength is undoubtedly strong, but without guidance, they may go astray at a certain point. However, if they can receive some guidance, they will break through and undergo a metamorphosis.

”Thank you very much for your guidance, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Faced with the young man who seemed much younger than himself, Palpatine bowed his head. Although he still didn’t know who Fang Zheng was, Palpatine knew that just the tip of the iceberg that the other had shown him was enough to deeply shock him.

”You’re welcome. I just hope it helps you. Being too attached to a certain domain isn’t suitable for elevating your level. If you want to go further, you must abandon your original notions and look at the problem from another perspective; you might gain something else.”

When Fang Zheng left the hall, both he and Palpatine wore smiles on their faces. Both had gotten what they wanted, and were satisfied with the exchange between them. For Fang Zheng, that was enough.

”Mr. Fang Zheng.”

When Fang Zheng left the meeting room and returned to the lounge, Eiriri and others, who had been waiting in boredom, hurriedly stood up.

”How did it go?”

”Very smoothly.”

Fang Zheng nodded, then looked at the four girls before him.

”Next, I have something I hope you can do.”

”Eh? What is it?”

”I need you to conduct a comprehensive survey of the Empire’s level of civilization.”

Fang Zheng opened his personal terminal and displayed a form.

”Including the Empire’s level of civilization, economy, politics, and quality of life, among other aspects. Eiriri, coming from a diplomat’s family, you’re quite familiar with political matters. I need you to observe and understand. As for the data aspect... Shihou Souki, it’s up to you.”

”Me?”

Shihou Souki was somewhat surprised.

”You want me to do it?”

”That’s right. Your mind-reading ability can be pretty useful at this time, and I trust your professional level. If there’s anyone more suited to investigate issues related to people’s livelihood and social standards, it’s you. Also, the situation with the Rebel Army is yours to handle as well.”

”Of course, how can that muscle-headed woman compare to me?”

Saying this, Shihou Souki became somewhat excited. As a Mental Manipulator in Academy City, many times, due to her identity, she needed to be self-disciplined. She really wanted to use her abilities to contribute, but often she was unable to.

However, as Fang Zheng said, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, not to mention that this isn’t some small country on Earth, but a vast Empire ruling the entire Milky Way!

Who would refuse such an opportunity unless they were brain-dead? Even for Shihou Souki, this might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Oh, except for a certain muscle-headed woman.

”Little Hei, Illya, you two are responsible for protecting them.”

Fang Zheng added, Shihou Souki’s combat ability is practically zero, and Eiriri is only slightly better, but not by much. The Galactic Empire is full of different species, and although Fang Zheng had opened official channels and Palpatine had promised a green light for them, you never know which aliens might cause trouble for them.

”Iona will accompany you too. You can take her for faster travel.”

”Eh? What about you, big brother?”

This time Little Hei noticed the issue, Fang Zheng talked about them but never mentioned what he would be doing.

”Me?”

Facing Little Hei’s question, Fang Zheng chuckled.

”I received an invitation from Emperor Palpatine to provide the Empire with some... technical support in the fight against the Rebel Army.”
