Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Fang Zheng swore that this time he really didn’t intend to directly take action, however... there’s no choice but to act!

He absolutely does not want to have a child with this bizarre entity!

Fang Zheng doesn’t even dare to touch the other party; after all, who knows how the Mother of Black Goat reproduces, maybe just a glance would result in pregnancy—darn it, if that’s the case, then it’s a disaster!

With the eruption of the Primordial Fire, the outer layer of the black nebula seemed to burn away like wool, exposing the core inside, and simultaneously, Fang Zheng sensed a familiar wave resonating with his Order Seal deep within the core.

That’s it!

Fang Zheng reached out his hand, and quickly, a mysterious silvery white radiance flashed on the back of his hand; then the next moment, a cube shot out from the body of the Mother of Black Goat as if attracted by a magnet, falling into Fang Zheng’s hand. Fang Zheng grabbed the cube and without hesitation activated the Silver Key, rapidly disappearing into the space passage with everyone.

”—————!”

A pitch-black darkness filled his vision, followed by hysterical screams.

”Why, why did it succeed?!”

This seemingly frenzied voice gave Fang Zheng quite a shock. He quickly looked up to see the Goddess of Order violently sweeping everything off the table in the laboratory, her complexion pale, her breath rapid, staring blankly at the tabletop.

”Why? Why did it succeed? Why is it the same?! If that’s the case, then what does this even mean?!”

Screaming, the Goddess of Order angrily flipped the table, which also scared Fang Zheng badly. To be honest, it was the first time he had seen the Goddess of Order display such a mad state.

”It’s enough now...”

After flipping the table, the Goddess of Order hugged her knees, sitting against the wall.

”It’s enough, why exactly is it like this? Why are we even here? I’ve had enough, it shouldn’t be like this, it really shouldn’t be like this...”

Uh... is this goddess okay?

Seeing the goddess sobbing softly, Fang Zheng cautiously approached a bit, reaching out to pick up the scattered documents on the table, intending to see what had happened. But at this moment, suddenly, the Goddess of Order extended her hand—grabbed him.

What the?!

This moment, Fang Zheng was truly scared out of his wits; he was now inside the Goddess of Order’s memory, supposed to be watching it like a movie on a computer screen, his actions shouldn’t affect what happens in the movie. But imagine you’re engrossed in a movie when suddenly the character on the screen reaches out, takes your drink and says ”I want to drink this”—the audience would probably feel much like Fang Zheng does now.

”Who are you?”

The Goddess of Order lifted her head, staring at Fang Zheng, but after a moment, she let go of his hand with resignation.

”Never mind, I don’t know where you came from; whether it’s the past, present, or future. But none of this matters, you see, like this, what we know is what we are supposed to know. What we’re not supposed to know, we now know...”

”Uh... sorry, I don’t quite understand what you mean.”

Looking at the reaction from the Goddess of Order, it was clear she mistook Fang Zheng for one of her kind, which was quite normal; previously, the collective of the Goddess of Order mentioned that only the Order Clan possesses the Order Seal, and Fang Zheng also carries the Order Seal, so the Goddess of Order confirmed his identity through it.

As for why she wasn’t surprised by Fang Zheng’s appearance—considering the Order Clan have long manipulated the concepts of space and time, such occurrences probably aren’t a first.

”It doesn’t matter if you understand or not; in fact, it’s all the same.”

The Goddess of Order sighed and gazed apathetically at the dilapidated laboratory in front of her, but Fang Zheng wouldn’t miss this chance; this was an opportunity to converse with the Goddess of Order!

And not those schizophrenic knock-offs, nor Fina who lost her memory—it’s the original!

”If possible, I’d like to hear you out; maybe we can discuss this?”

”Hehe... alright, it doesn’t really matter.”

At this point, the Goddess of Order was already despondent, seemingly unconcerned with it all, merely nodding and continued speaking.

”Do you know about the conflict between Chaos and Order? We failed.”

”Oh, this I know.”

”Hmm... good, it seems I don’t need to explain it; since you already know, I’ll tell you what I’m doing now.”

The Goddess of Order gave a bitter smile and forced herself to stand, moving to the blackboard.

”Since then, I’ve been evading the Chaos Tide... do you know about the Chaos Tide? Well, then let’s continue; I’ve tried various approaches, but they all seem flawed, our actions provoked Chaos’s retaliation, we’re trying to forcibly separate things originally merged, but the resulting backlash is hard to bear—just like a rubber band, the longer you stretch it, the more it stings when let go.”

Speaking, the Goddess of Order summoned a rubber band from thin air, stretched it hard, then released it, watching it snap shut with a ”pop”.

”See, just like this; we went overboard, resulting in a backlash we couldn’t resist, leading to this outcome.”

Saying this, the Goddess of Order spread her hands with a bitter smile. But Fang Zheng was clearly more concerned about the experiments of the Goddess of Order.

”Then the experiment you’re speaking of is?”

”Hmm, I want to investigate how all this started.”

The Goddess of Order nodded and continued.

”You see, we’ve now separated Order from Chaos, but the universe wasn’t like this initially; so, I want to simulate the process of a universe’s inception, to confirm the emergence and existence of nodes of Chaos and Order.”

”Hmm... I understand now.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng nodded; he somewhat understood the Goddess of Order’s intention; she wanted to investigate the mystery through simulating similar scenarios, which isn’t surprising. There are many scientists on Earth engaged in similar things, like particle collision machines, for instance...

”Then, what were the results?”

”The same.”

”Uh... I don’t understand?”

”The same, you know?”

Saying this, the Goddess of Order became agitated again.

”I divided a brand new dimensional space, simulating the Big Bang, infused with my Divine Power, using the fusion of Chaos and Order in the explosion, but guess what I discovered? Same! Same! It’s all the same!”

”Please calm down, sorry, I don’t understand, what’s the same?”

”I created a new world, but the data, all the data, dimensions, all the concepts, theories, are completely identical to our world! Do you know what that means? I created this world through the chaotic blast, yet it’s exactly like our world! What does this mean? It means our world might also have been created similarly! We are also created!!”

Saying this, the Goddess of Order became excited again, frantically hammering the wall beside her, while Fang Zheng looked dumbfounded at her behavior.

It’s not that Fang Zheng doesn’t understand the meaning of the Goddess of Order, in fact, he already comprehends it quite well. The Goddess of Order created a new world by simulating the Big Bang with chaotic forces, under her assumption that a new world would likely establish new Orders just like the Earth’s gravity differs from the Moon’s and Mars’ climate varies from Mercury’s.

But the truth is, everything in this world is not much different from the Main World. It’s not about the concept of planets and star systems, but rather concepts of physics, dimensions, and time among various Domains. If expressed numerically, the data in these ’basic concept data’ between both is accurate to a hundred decimal places — precisely identical.

How would that be explained then?

Very simply, explained using a term Fang Zheng is familiar with, it means both worlds are built using the same game engine.

For instance, like Fallout and Elder Scrolls, Half-Life, and CS. Although backgrounds are different, settings are different, characters are different, even stories and game types are completely different, the internal materials and parameters are identical.

But to Fang Zheng, is this really a thing?

Whether the world is created or not, seems of no significance to Fang Zheng. In fact, there are many questions about human birth till now, with Evolution Theory being well-known, but there are some not-so-familiar ones like the DNA appraisal suggesting humans originate from Africa, which is odd considering the vast lands across five continents and four oceans, how did a group of Homo sapiens emerge and traverse the world in those times?

Considering Homo sapiens could hardly make fire at that time, even if the Pacific Ocean wasn’t covered, you couldn’t possibly swim across it.

Now there’s a theory that aliens visited Earth back then, and casually took a group of apes from Africa for experiments, and each found a domain to take those experimental monkeys along. Hence different races distributed globally have similar mythologies, maybe those aliens completed the experiment and casually left, leaving Homo sapiens scattered across the world, evolving into today’s scenario.

Of course, whether it actually happened, Fang Zheng couldn’t be sure, because with the current capability of Heavenly Dao Palace, he could do similar things too, so by inference, it’s not weird if some advanced civilization visited Earth to grab a bunch of monkeys for sociological experiments.

Maybe their summer project was ’Discussing the reproduction and evolution process of primates in different environments’?

Though saying human creation is due to a group of aliens’ summer project sounds funny, anyhow those are matters gone by, Fang Zheng believes even if humans eventually discover they were made from a summer project, they wouldn’t mind it much, except some stubborn idiots, others would likely go living as usual.

But to see the Goddess of Order act as if her worldview collapsed into an apocalyptic look, Fang Zheng found it incomprehensible.

”Isn’t this a good thing? If our world is indeed created by others, can’t we directly find them to solve the Chaos Tide issue?”

Fang Zheng thought his idea was quite normal, but upon hearing him speak, the Goddess of Order was stunned. She turned her head, mouth agape, looking at Fang Zheng.

”You... aren’t you afraid?”

”???”

”We used to believe, we are the highest civilization in this world, our existence is for this world, but now... we found we’re just part of the created...”

”Uh... I didn’t think it was a big issue.”

Fang Zheng appeared particularly calm, he pondered here and there a while but couldn’t understand this pride of the Order Clan. After all, he wasn’t a member of the Order Clan.

”The important thing is to solve problems, now things are like this, what meaning does obsessing with origins have, don’t you agree? Whether our world was created... Of course, if it really was, that’s better, then we can find the creator, I believe they’d be willing to help.”

”What if they don’t help?”

”Then we maintain the status quo at most.”

Fang Zheng chuckled.

”The world’s like this already, nothing to dwell on, as it’s destined to be destroyed someday, better to give it a shot.”

Actually, Fang Zheng could predict why the Goddess of Order’s worldview collapsed so severely, according to those conglomerates, the Order Clan always aimed to define the world, organize the world, create the world using what they perceive as Order. But now someone informs them, actually whether defined or not, those Orders are there, whether you perceive it or not, actually doesn’t matter, organizing makes no difference either —— well, no wonder the Goddess of Order began questioning her existential value.

NPCs in a game modding by themselves, realizing they’ve actually crashed the game body — using this to describe the approach of the Order Clan in the Main World couldn’t be more fitting.

”Give it a shot... give it a shot...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, the Goddess of Order seemed to have thought of something, she murmured a few words, then suddenly stamped her foot.

”That’s right, give it a shot, can’t end like this, yes, I know, it should be like this...”

However, before the Goddess of Order could finish speaking, Fang Zheng suddenly felt a strong suction from behind him, the next moment without even a shout, he was directly pulled out of this world. Vaguely, Fang Zheng could only hear the Goddess of Order’s cries.

”Wait, where are you going? How should I find you? Don’t leave yet...”

Unfortunately, this wasn’t up to Fang Zheng.

”Woosh———!!”

The next moment, Fang Zheng was thrown out from mid-air, falling heavily onto the snow. Nymph and Ryoko Asakura were likewise scattered all over the ground. When Fang Zheng raised his head, turning to look around, all was icy and snowy, pure white —— they had returned to the Main World.

[Droplet———!]

Meanwhile, the piercing system alert sounded.

[User has completed the hidden achievement ’World Transformation’]

[Warning: The user has altered the timeline of this world, leading to unknown changes in the world]

[Warning: System is about to update]

[System updating... system temporarily shutting down]

Along with the information before him, Fang Zheng realized his Dimensional Codex system suddenly dimmed, entering a locked state.

But none of these mattered, what concerned him more was —— what did the world undergo a transformation mean?

Did his momentary boast within the Goddess of Order’s memory cause issues?!

Could it be that what just happened wasn’t merely past memory?!
