Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The peculiar alien races rolled around before stopping, then began searching within the ruins. Judging by their actions, it was clear these guys weren’t doing this for the first time.

”What do you think they’re doing?”

Watching the screen, the girls were also hotly debating.

”I think they’re doing archaeology.”

”No, I think they’re here to collect junk...”

Watching those little aliens shouting and grabbing things that looked like broken junk from the ruins of the cities, it really left people at a loss for words. Soon, the girls watched as those alien life forms picked up their flag, boarded the spaceship, and swiftly activated it to leave.

”Should we follow them, Master?”

Faced with Nymph’s order, Fang Zheng blinked his eyes.

”No, send a drone to follow them first and see where they go.”

”Alright.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s command, Nymph gently rotated her finger, and then the transparent, invisible Little Ding Dong silently attached itself to the alien spaceship. Subsequently, the alien spaceship suddenly took off, disappearing into the boundless Star Sea.

”Very interesting.”

Seeing this, Nymph widened her eyes in surprise.

”They employed a very unique hyperspace travel technique, which doesn’t match their civilization rank.”

”Oh? Maybe they are also experts in the field of archaeology.”

Fang Zheng understood Nymph’s point. Typically, a civilization capable of creating hyperspace jump technology would have abandoned nuclear fusion long ago. It’s somewhat like driving a supercar with an antique engine—usable but not very practical. However, if it’s for archaeology, it’s hard to say; just like in the Magical Girl World, the Space-Time Bureau is weak as can be aside from space-time navigation technology...

During their conversation, the spaceship already exited hyperspace jump and returned to a normal orbit, then it headed toward a massive yellow planet. Soon, in the camera view, they could see a land covered in yellow sand, and then, the seemingly worn spaceship slowly landed on the edge of a basin.

It looked like a man-made pit, with buildings similar to Eskimo igloos stood nearby. Soon, the spaceship door opened again, and the alien life forms jumped down chattering, shouting loudly at the entrance. Quickly, several figures emerged from the igloo-like building.

Upon seeing this scene, the girls widened their eyes in shock.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, look, it’s humans!”

”Oh?”

This time Fang Zheng squinted his eyes and looked at the screen. Sure enough, on the screen, he saw several humans with blond hair and blue eyes, dressed in white cloth clothing, talking to the alien life forms. Then the aliens pushed the items they collected from the ruins on this planet off the spaceship, and they started talking to each other.

”Well, it looks like we’ve encountered a group that loves collecting junk from trash heaps.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t surprised; they were currently just in the fringe areas of this Star System. Based on Fang Zheng’s experiences in the world of Mass Effect and Aura, such occurrences were actually not rare. Perhaps for the girls, a relic of an alien race would be enough to excite them for a whole year, but for the inhabitants of this Star System, relics from thousands of years ago might only still serve the purpose of junk collecting.

”Should we go talk to them, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

The girls seemed to have cheered up a bit; if the previous gaga chickens and dodo bears shattered their worldview, seeing humans relaxed them.

”Of course. We need some information. Hmm, not too many people, just a few to go with me... Eiriri.”

”Eh? Why Eiriri? Can’t Asuna and I go?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s command, Black Cat was immediately displeased.

”I’m a diplomat by background... Hmm, Eiriri, do you have skills in this area?”

”Of course, leave it to me, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Eiriri smiled proudly and gave a thumbs up to Fang Zheng.

”Although I’m embarrassed, I have followed my father to many countries, and I understand diplomatic etiquette and the like!”

”Alright, next... Shihou, you’re coming too, depending on the situation, we might need your abilities.”

”Okay, I’m also curious whether my powers are effective on aliens... just not another case like Miss Saya.”

Speaking of this, Shihou Souki held her hand to her heart uneasily. She must admit, the experience of invading Saya’s psyche had left a psychological shadow.

”Also Little Hei, Illya, I promised to bring you along.”

Fang Zheng finished his coffee and then stood up.

”Let’s go, I’m going to contact Iona, leading the Azure First Fleet to that planet. You’ll stay here and prepare to provide support at any time. We don’t know what’s going on out there, so... it’s best to be cautious. Nymph, translate their language and upload it to the terminal server.”

”Alright, Master.”

With Fang Zheng’s order, the entire fleet immediately started getting busy. Then Fang Zheng took four people aboard Iona, quickly initiating the warp mode.

”Warp mode initialized, warping to the designated location...”

As Iona’s voice fell, the scenery in front quickly became swift and flowing, streaks of light rapidly shot forward, passing by the porthole. Moments later, the dazzling light swiftly vanished, replaced by a yellow desert planet.

And at the same time...

”Ooh...”

At the moment Iona deactivated warp mode, Fang Zheng suddenly felt like he was hit by an incoming safety airbag, overwhelmed by a powerful and unparalleled force. That force seemed to condense from countless lives, transforming into a surging wave rushing toward him. At that moment, Fang Zheng felt like he was standing on a beach, slammed by the roaring giant waves. He leaned heavily back, falling into the chair.

”Hmph!”

But Fang Zheng was no easy mark. Although this unexpected scene indeed surprised him, after realizing what was happening, Fang Zheng snorted coldly. Then Primordial Fire abruptly erupted, quickly evaporating and transforming that force. Soon, under the suppression of Primordial Fire, the originally roaring torrent of power gradually calmed down, turning into gentle streams.

”Whew...”

Only at this point did Fang Zheng breathe a sigh of relief.

Does this Star System harbor such formidable power, and I didn’t detect it?

No, this power isn’t energy in the conventional sense, but more like an aggregate of life, because at that moment, Fang Zheng could feel that this force melded together all the souls of the world, whether they were plants, trees, or living beings.

”Mr. Fang Zheng? Are you okay?”

”Big brother, are you alright?”

Now, the others hurried to Fang Zheng’s side, looking at him worriedly, but Fang Zheng shook his head.

”I’m okay, it’s not a big deal... How’s she?”

Saying this, Fang Zheng glanced at Shihou Souki beside him. She was frowning, her face pale, eyes tightly shut.

”I don’t know either, Sister Shihou just suddenly screamed, and then she became like this.”

Illya answered softly, supporting the shaky Shihou Souki in concern.

”Looks like her luck is just bad.”

Fang Zheng sighed, then stood up and walked over to Shihou Souki, reaching out to press on her head. Quickly, the crimson Radiance of the Primordial Fire appeared, covering Shihou Souki, who then let out a sudden cry, opened her eyes, and was drenched in sweat, as if she had just managed to surface from drowning.

”How do you feel?”

”Huff... huff... thank you, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Shihou Souki reached out to press her forehead, gasping for breath.

”What was that just now? I felt like countless creatures were talking in my head... I thought my head was going to explode...”

”It seems this Star System has a completely different energy system. People like you and me, who are quite sensitive to it, are prone to being affected.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng narrowed his eyes. It’s not surprising that Shihou Souki was affected; she’s ultimately just a fragile Psychic User. But for someone like himself—a Time Dragon, Magical Girl, and God of Games—to be suddenly affected, only the Goddess of Order could likely manage that.

”I find it quite comfortable, how about you, Illya?”

”Yeah, me too, it felt really comfortable, like... taking a hot bath.”

Little Hei and Illya indicated that everything was normal, but Eiriri seemed puzzled.

”I didn’t feel anything.”

”Well, you’re just an ordinary person.”

”Hmm...”

Hearing this, Eiriri pouted in annoyance, but soon Iona’s voice came through.

”We’ve arrived at the designated planet.”

”Great, let’s go down and see what’s here.”

Under Fang Zheng’s command, Iona slowly descended, landing in front of the structures previously landed upon by those aliens. By this time, a few people had already come out of the buildings. They were all dressed similarly, looking at the mysterious and odd warship before them with puzzled faces.

”What’s that?”

”I don’t know, I’ve never seen a warship like it.”

”Could it be the Empire?”

”No, I don’t think so; it doesn’t have the Empire’s emblem...”

Amidst the discussions, Iona slowly came to a stop, and then the hatch opened. Fang Zheng tidied up his clothes.

”Alright, let’s go see what’s going on.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng walked out of the warship, and by this time, the three people had already approached. They looked like a family of three, with the stout middle-aged man at the front curiously examining the people coming off the spaceship.

”Hey, who are you? What business do you have here?”

”Apologies, we are Interstellar Travelers.”

Looking at the middle-aged man, Fang Zheng smiled slightly.

”In fact, we’re newcomers to your place and would like to learn about the situation around here... To be honest, you all are the only civilized humans we’ve met so far with whom we can communicate. If you wouldn’t mind, could you tell us a bit about this Star Domain? Of course, we’re willing to provide some compensation for it...”

”Travelers?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng, the middle-aged man squinted, examining him and the girls behind him thoroughly.

”I’ve never seen travelers like you, do you have Credit Points?”

”Sorry, we don’t currently have the currency of this Star Domain. If needed, we can offer equivalent materials or assistance.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng glanced at a dilapidated vehicle parked outside their house, looking as battered as an old car.

”For instance, we could help you fix that car and make it look brand new. How about it?”

”Oh? Really?”

Hearing this, the middle-aged man showed a slight expression of surprise. He thought for a moment, then nodded.

”Alright, if you can manage that car, that would be nice. It’s already quite worn out... Hmm, I’m not sure what you people are, but this is just a rural place. If you like, you can stay here temporarily.”

Saying this, the man turned around and waved at a young man standing behind him.

”Hey, brat, come here.”

”What’s up, Uncle Owen?”

Hearing the middle-aged man’s exchange, the young man behind him reluctantly came over. The middle-aged man chuckled, patting him on the shoulder.

”You welcome our guests; we have other things to do and will leave them to you.”

After saying this, the middle-aged man turned and left. The young man, looking slightly awkward, glanced at Fang Zheng’s group. He hesitated for a moment, rubbed his hands on his clothes, and extended them.

”Hey, hi... welcome to this godforsaken place.”

”I’m Fang Zheng, nice to meet you.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng extended his hand to shake with the young man.

”As previously introduced, I’m an Interstellar Traveler. May I ask, what’s your name...?”

In response to Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the young man showed a somewhat embarrassed smile.

”I’m Luke, nice to meet you.”

”...Luke?”

Upon hearing the young man’s reply, Fang Zheng paused, and the young man nodded.

”Yes.”

”Sorry, if you don’t mind me asking, what is your full name...?”

”Luke Skywalker... Is there a problem, sir?”
