Chapter 1094: Chapter 1093: Come at Me All Together

”Hmm? What’s happening over there?”

Watching the practice field not far away, General Hong Gu, standing on the city wall, frowned.

”It’s not training time now, who is occupying the practice field?!”

”Report to the General, it’s the Grand Eunuch!”

”Those guys...”

Hearing this, General Hong Gu’s face immediately darkened.

”Is meddling in politics not enough, do they even want to meddle in military affairs? What exactly are they trying to do?”

”General!!”

At this moment, a soldier ran over panting heavily.

”The Grand Eunuch and his party are using the practice field for a test!”

”A test? What kind of test needs to use the Imperial Army’s practice field? And... they’re using the newest White Tiger Model MS?”

As the commander of the Imperial Guard, Hong Gu was very familiar with the MS under his command. After the previous battle with the Reaper, the Chinese Federation suffered heavy losses. To enhance combat capability, they started developing the next generation MS. The White Tiger was the latest production model, with performance data far exceeding that of the former Steel Skeleton of the Chinese Federation. As the standard equipment, it has already started being deployed throughout the army.

However, what does this have to do with the Grand Eunuch?

”Actually, I heard that His Highness returned today......”

”His Highness? Do you mean that His Highness?”

Hearing this, Hong Gu was also taken aback, then immediately realized.

This couldn’t blame him; although Hong Gu, being inside the Imperial City, was certainly aware of Fang Zheng’s return, his identity was somewhat awkward. By rights, Fang Zheng should surely be a prince, but as Fang Zheng mentioned, now that His Majesty has ascended the throne, he couldn’t possibly be a prince. However, generally speaking, princes would be given a title, yet Fang Zheng has not received any title so far, so they could not call him by name directly in the Imperial Clan. Hence, they could only use ”His Highness” as a reference.

”And then?”

”I heard that His Highness had some conflict with the Grand Eunuch over some matter, and then both parties proposed such a test. It seems that as long as His Highness can defeat these guards, he can do something or other......”

”Three against one? Those bastards!”

Hearing this, General Hong Gu pounded heavily on the railing.

”Those bastards are still so despicable. The White Tiger uses the newest MS, and His Highness hasn’t operated it before. How is he supposed to fight three Imperial Guard MSs at once? Those bastards, they are really going too far!”

”Ah, it’s not like that, General.”

Hearing Hong Gu’s complaint, his subordinate quickly spoke up.

”It’s not three against one. I heard His Highness is to face the attack of four White Tigers alone......”

”What?!”

Hearing this response, Hong Gu widened his eyes in shock.

”Then where is His Highness’s MS? Does he have a dedicated MS?”

”No...... um...... it seems......”

At this moment, Hong Gu’s subordinate also began to stammer.

”What’s the matter? Are you not a man anymore? Can’t you even speak?”

”No, actually...... I actually heard...... His Highness seems to not need to operate a Mecha and is going to fight against four MSs on his own!”

”...What?!”

Hearing this, Hong Gu initially thought his subordinate was joking with him. He reached out his hand and grabbed the other’s collar.

”How dare you make such a dull joke...... hmm?”

At that moment, Hong Gu saw Fang Zheng already stepping down the stairs, entering the practice field, and standing in front of the four Mechas.

”Is he crazy?”

Seeing Fang Zheng standing there empty-handed, Hong Gu shouted, then waved his hand abruptly.

”Quick, stop them!”

”But, that’s the Grand Eunuch......”

”Ignore those eunuchs! The practice field is the Imperial Army’s territory. I have the authority to call off any irregular action here! Go now!”

”Yes!”

At this moment, Fang Zheng had already reached the front of the four Mechas, calmly watching the MS in front of him.

”Honestly, I really don’t see the point of these iron contraptions.”

With his arms folded, looking at the MS in front of him, Fang Zheng shook his head.

”I mean, with this kind of technology, can’t they make something more useful, instead of a useless humanoid iron frame......”

”Boom!!”

However, before Fang Zheng’s words were over, one of the MS suddenly charged forward, raising its Longsword, and swung it down forcefully towards Fang Zheng. With a loud crash, the practice field was immediately engulfed in a cloud of dust.

”Imperial Brother!”

Seeing this scene, His Majesty couldn’t help but clench his fists and shout out. While behind her, the eunuchs wore smug smiles. In their minds, the arrogant fool must have either collapsed in fear or already been killed, having dared to recklessly challenge steel with mere flesh... huh?

However, when the dust settled, the scene before them made everyone widen their eyes in disbelief.

In the practice field, Fang Zheng still stood there, and next to him was the melee blade of the MS.

The strike that originally should have hit did not reach its target.

”Making the body a few times larger with Mecha, honestly, I think it’s just more prone to being cut, with no other meaning......”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng stretched out his right hand.

”—————!”

At this moment, another Mecha suddenly charged at Fang Zheng, preparing to swing its weapon once again.

”Stop———!!”

At this time, Hong Gu’s subordinates finally arrived at the training ground.

”General Hong Gu orders———!”

However, before he could finish his words, a brilliant sword radiance suddenly emerged from the darkness.

The fleeting starlight streaked across the entire training ground, followed by the MS’s arm holding the blade spinning into the air, making a huge clashing sound as it crashed heavily to the ground.

”What?”

Witnessing this, the nearby soldiers, General Hong Gu on the city wall, as well as His Majesty and the eunuchs on the viewing platform not far away, were all frozen in shock.

Fang Zheng still stood in place, his right hand extended, only now it held a pitch-black Greatsword. Meanwhile, the Mecha that had attacked just now had its right arm completely severed, with only sparking wires visible.

”Is this... a joke?”

For a moment, everyone thought they were dreaming. A person, without any auxiliary equipment, had just severed a Mecha’s arm with one sword swing?

Amid everyone’s shock, the Mecha with its arm cut off was also extremely surprised. It extended its left hand, drew a Dagger with a ”snap,” and lunged at Fang Zheng again. Yet, in the face of this strike, Fang Zheng remained standing without flinching, raising his Greatsword and slashing upwards.

”Clang!!”

Amidst the sound of metal clashing, the White Tiger Mecha suddenly lost balance. Its left hand holding the Dagger was lifted high, causing the entire body to topple backward. At this moment, everyone saw Fang Zheng advance suddenly, swinging his Greatsword accompanied by howls of Sword Qi, hacking forcefully towards the MS’s chest.

”Boom!!”

In the instant Fang Zheng’s Greatsword struck, the several-meter-high Mecha was knocked backward as if punched, slamming into the wall near the practice field, then collapsing entirely, becoming a pile of scrap metal.

”Clatter.”

Fang Zheng landed again. He looked at the scrap metal before him and sighed.

”Indeed, big but useless, without even a Shield, actions so large, speed so slow, gaps so many... what is the point of this thing at all?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng turned his head, gazing at the three Mechas behind him.

”You are wasting too much time. Just attack together.”
