Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1078: Chapter 1077: Which One Will You Choose?

”.........”

Upon hearing the voice of the mysterious man in front of her, Karen hesitated for a moment but obediently exited the mecha. What else could she do?

When Karen left the mecha and walked up to the Knight, several other people also approached. They were petite, and although Karen couldn’t see their faces due to the hoods, judging by their figures and hair, they were likely all women.

”Are you terrorists?”

”We are not terrorists!”

Hearing the Knight’s inquiry, Karen clenched her fist in anger and retorted.

”We’re not terrorists, we’re a resistance organization.”

”Alright, I’m not interested in what you’re called.”

However, before Karen could finish her words, Fang Zheng waved his hand and interrupted her.

”I just want to know if you are the terrorists that the Britannia soldiers are talking about?”

”......Yes, but we’re not terrorists......”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s calm questioning, Karen sighed helplessly and nodded.

”Fine, you’re not terrorists, then tell me, what exactly are you doing?”

”We are resisting!”

Saying this, Karen clenched her fist.

”We are not people of Area 11, we are Japanese! We want to resist Britannia’s tyrannical rule and liberate this country from Britannia’s grasp once again!”

”With what? Terrorist attacks? You stole the toxic gas canister for this, right?”

”......Is there a problem with that?”

Detecting the disdain in Fang Zheng’s tone, Karen glared at the Knight, but Fang Zheng was unfazed by her gaze. He just shrugged and looked at the girls beside him.

”Well, another bunch of chuunibyou kids trying to cause trouble on their own... Never mind, I think we’d better do it ourselves. Teaming up with them is not a good idea.”

”President? Aren’t you going to consider it at all? At least, they genuinely seem to be fighting for this cause...”

At Fang Zheng’s signal, the girls did not mention his name, instead using their in-game code names.

”It’s meaningless, anyone can throw their life away on impulse, anyone can shout empty slogans of idealism. I wish for world peace, too, but what’s the use? Let’s go.”

With a disappointed glance at Karen, Fang Zheng turned and prepared to leave, but at this moment, Karen suddenly rushed over and blocked their way.

”Wait, wait, what do you mean? Are you trying to oppose Britannia too?”

”As of now, that’s indeed the case.”

Fang Zheng nodded.

”Initially, we planned to find a reliable resistance force to cooperate with, but now it seems... never mind, it’s safer to take action ourselves.”

”Wait, wait!”

Seeing that they were about to leave again, Karen hurriedly stepped forward to block them once more. Although she didn’t know who these people were, Karen was now certain of one thing: if their goal was what she hoped for, then these mysterious individuals might just be their only hope!

”We, we can cooperate. How do you want to cooperate? As long as it can defeat Britannia, we are willing to do anything!”

”............”

Hearing Karen’s words, Fang Zheng stopped in his tracks. He looked down and gave Karen another look.

”...Alright, I can give you a chance.”

After thinking for a moment, Fang Zheng ultimately made a decision.

”Since you’re an organization, you must have a way to contact each other. I’ll give you a coordinate, and you can tell them to gather here if they want to come. If they don’t want to, that’s fine. I didn’t have high hopes for you anyway...”

”President!”

At this moment, Eiriri descended swiftly using her Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear and landed beside the group.

”Britannia’s army is gathering towards this direction.”

”Their response is reasonably quick.”

Hearing Eiriri’s report, Fang Zheng nodded, then looked back at Karen.

”Alright, I’ve said all I need to say. Whether or not you choose to come is up to you. Remember, I’m only giving you three hours. If you can’t do it, then I’m sorry.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng handed a piece of paper to Karen.

”Now it’s up to your choice. Let’s go.”

”Yes.”

Following Fang Zheng’s order, the girls nodded, turned, and quickly leaped onto the buildings to leave swiftly. Karen watched their departing figures, then gripped the piece of paper in her hand tightly, turned, and quickly returned to the mecha. She piloted the mecha across the burning debris, speeding toward another passage.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, do you really plan to help them?”

Sitting on a chair, fiddling with the cola at hand, Eiriri asked curiously, while Fang Zheng looked at them.

”What do you all think?”

”Um...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s question, the girls thought for a moment, then Black Cat was the first to speak up.

”These people are too much. I originally didn’t want to get involved, but now I’ve decided to step in!”

”Me too!”

Looking at the little girl sleeping soundly in Black Cat’s arms, Asuna lovingly reached out to tidy her hair.

”No matter what, these people shouldn’t harm children. She’s so young... they actually want to kill her, they’re basically not human!”

”That’s right, we must show them some serious consequences!”

Eiriri also clenched her fist and swung it forcefully.

”Alright, let’s go with that decision.”

Fang Zheng nodded.

”Honestly, like I’ve said before, I originally didn’t want to meddle in the affairs of this world, but the current situation is entirely different...”

Just as Fang Zheng said, if they had encountered just a private organization’s murderous acts, Fang Zheng and others would at most wipe out that organization and rescue the victims, without trying to change anything. To be honest, every world has its dark side; if you really pursue it, even Eiriri’s world might have cases of child abuse and harm. However, that’s all part of the social dark side, and overall, the world itself is still quite positive.

But here, the situation is different. It’s the army commanded by the state and government engaged in organized mass killings, and Heavenly Dao Palace must intervene as a political entity in such a situation.

Moreover, Fang Zheng is planning to use this matter as an experiment. He still remembers the Heavenly Dao Palace’s little girls having a big debate over whether or not to interfere with other worlds, how to interfere, and what should be done. Although Fang Zheng obscured this matter in the past, the issue still needs resolution.

Coincidentally, this serves perfectly as an experiment to be the best textbook for Heavenly Dao Palace on how to intervene and interfere in other worlds.

If done well, this might even make it into the textbooks!

”Should I notify Atalanta and Belfast?”

”No, let them continue having fun. It’s rare for them to have a day out; let’s not trouble them.”

Fang Zheng shook his head, rejecting Eiriri’s proposal. They were originally out to relax, but now all their good mood was gone. At least letting those little ones have a joyful day is not too bad.

”Then, let’s solve this issue first.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng stood up and walked to the green-haired girl sitting not far away, gazing at her.

”Alright, miss, say it, how do you plan to die?”

”Eh?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, everyone was stunned.

”Wait, Mr. Fang Zheng, you want to kill her? Why?”

”I don’t know why either, but that’s her wish.”

Facing the girls’ surprised inquiries, Fang Zheng shrugged.

”When I released her restraint, I had a telepathic-like conversation with her, and she said she wanted to make a contract with me, offering me some power in exchange for fulfilling her wish, which is to truly die...”

”That’s right.”

Finally, the green-haired girl revealed a smile.

”That’s my wish. Can you fulfill it?”

”Why? Honestly, I’m quite curious about it.”

”I... am cursed.”

If it were anyone else, the green-haired girl might not have said it, but she has witnessed Fang Zheng and the others displaying their power firsthand. Compared to them, she didn’t seem that special anymore.

”I am cursed to be ageless and immortal. My only desire now is to find true peace. Suicide, homicide, ordinary methods cannot kill me... no matter what kind of harm I suffer, I will resurrect.”

Saying this, the green-haired girl looked at Fang Zheng with a teasing expression.

”So, do you have a way to kill me?... Fang Zheng?”

”Oh, that’s simple.”

However, contrary to the green-haired girl’s expectations, Fang Zheng clapped his hands in response, displaying an expression that said, ”It’s just a small matter.”

”S... simple?”

”That’s right, you’ve been cursed to be ageless and immortal, you won’t die even if shot, pierced through the heart, or beheaded, correct?”

”Ah... yes, that’s correct.”

”Then it’s simple; I have several methods. You can choose which one you’d like?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng picked up his Pitch Black Greatsword.

”Firstly, I can chop you into pieces and feed you to the Zerg... oh, you might not know what Zerg are, but I can tell you they are a kind of fierce beast, they will digest your body and devour your DNA, ensuring you absolutely cannot be resurrected. If you find this too bloody, I can also turn you into my firewood, like this...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng swung the greatsword suddenly, and then a blazing crimson flame erupted from the blade.

”This is called the Primordial Fire, the flame from the dawn of the world. It can burn everything, even deities will be reduced to its firewood and completely annihilated. So, I think you could have a full cremation without any problem. Of course, if you find that hard to accept, I have an even better method. I could find Black Katie and Tilia; they are Followers of the Crimson Realm — okay, you may not know what Followers of the Crimson Realm are; they exist by devouring the Power of Existence. I can let them devour your Power of Existence so that everything about your past, present, future, every trace of your existence, including yourself, will be completely erased. No one will remember you; the people who have interacted with you will lose memories of you, as if you never existed...”

Saying this, Fang Zheng spread his hands.

”Tell me, which one do you choose?”

”...........”

Facing Fang Zheng’s query, the green-haired girl was dumbfounded. Then she remained silent for a moment before cautiously speaking.

”Um... can I take some time to think about it?”
