Chapter 1069: Chapter 1068: Please, Don’t Do Anything Reckless!

The battle ended quickly.

Although Fang Zheng only brought one fleet, the Reapers on the other side were just the vanguard, so in the blink of an eye, the arrogant Reapers were thoroughly defeated and utterly destroyed.

Meanwhile, Admiral Goto finally met his daughter on the flagship, and learned from her about these creatures.

After listening to Goto Yurika’s narration, Admiral Goto was silent for a long time.

The Milky Way, Reapers, they harvest civilizations every fifty thousand years...

If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, if they hadn’t almost been annihilated, Admiral himself would have thought his daughter was fantasizing after reading some science fiction novel. But now, he no longer doubted it; especially since Goto Yurika had recorded many videos of battles in that world, including a variety of aliens and grand wars, none of which could be faked.

”I think we need to change, Dad.”

After this journey, Goto Yurika had matured a lot, no longer acting like a love-struck teenage girl as she initially did.

”Compared to that world, we are still arguing over Earthlings, Coordinators, and New Humanity—it’s just so foolish. If we had united earlier, things wouldn’t have gotten to this point!”

Reflecting on what she saw and heard upon her return, Goto Yurika was enraged. She hadn’t cared much about these differences before, but now, after witnessing the grandeur of that Milky Way and everything happening there, she felt the issues in her own world were merely child’s play!

What are conflicts between Natural Persons and Coordinators, when the Quillan People have been driven from Earth by the Geth? What are the Earth Federation and PLANT disputes compared to the Krogan and Serret hatred? The latter almost wiped out the entire Krogan Clan with gene phages!

Recalling her experiences in that world, Goto Yurika increasingly felt that the bureaucrats engrossed in current interests in her world were nothing but clueless children who couldn’t see beyond immediate gratification!

”Hmm... let’s talk about this later. For now... Yurika, do you have a way to contact the commander of that fleet?”

”Well...”

Faced with her father’s inquiry, Goto Yurika displayed a slightly troubled expression.

”Mr. Fang Zheng’s intention is to avoid too much interaction with the political powers of this world, so... he probably won’t pay attention to you.”

”......”

Facing his daughter’s response, Admiral Goto twitched his lips but said nothing.

What could he say? They didn’t care about him, what could he do?

”Alright, then Yurika, prepare yourself. We’ll return to Earth shortly, and you will personally report this information to the high-level officials of the Earth Federation!”

”Okay, I understand.”

Hearing this, Yurika nodded and turned to leave. Just then, Admiral Goto remembered something and called Yurika back.

”Oh, Yurika, there’s one more thing I need to ask you.”

”What is it, Dad?”

”You said those metallic creatures are called Reapers... so, do you know if another kind of creature also comes from that world?”

”Creature?”

Upon hearing this, Goto Yurika paused.

”What creature?”

”A group resembling dragons, able to breathe fire and fly in space. Our fleet recently discovered a group of such creatures, some were eliminated, while others escaped. However, some wounded ones were captured... do you know anything about them...”

”.........”

However, what Admiral Goto hadn’t expected was for his daughter’s expression to turn increasingly pale upon hearing his description. Before the old Admiral could finish, Yurika quickly interrupted, displaying an image.

”Is this it, Dad?”

”Yes, it is...”

Looking at the image Yurika displayed, the Admiral nodded, and upon hearing her father’s confirmation, cold sweat dripped down Yurika’s face.

”This is bad, those are Flying Dragons of the Heavenly Dao Palace!”

”Heavenly Dao... Palace?”

Upon hearing this, the old Admiral was stunned.

”What is that?”

”It’s the power to which this fleet belongs. Even in that world, the Heavenly Dao Palace is the strongest. In fact, without the army dispatched by the Heavenly Dao Palace, all civilizations, including humanity in that world, would have been slaughtered by the Reapers!”

”Wait, are you implying that the people on those warships... aren’t human?”

”No, the Heavenly Dao Palace is a multiracial alliance with many species. Mr. Fang Zheng and some people around him appear human but there are others with animal ears and tails, referred to as Elves... These Flying Dragons are aerial units of the Swarm under Heavenly Dao Palace, and the Swarm is the army of the Heavenly Dao Palace... They are very powerful and very terrifying...”

Recalling everything she had seen, even Goto Yurika trembled.

Though in terms of firepower, this fleet was undoubtedly stronger, the fear brought by the overwhelming Swarm tide was an imprint on the soul.

”You didn’t do anything to those Flying Dragons, right, Dad!!”

”I heard the Earth Federation is keeping those Flying Dragons for research... supposedly somewhere in Antarctica, I don’t know the specifics!”

”Oh no!”

Yurika wasn’t foolish; she knew something major was wrong as soon as she heard this!

”Release those Flying Dragons immediately! Or we’ll be in big trouble!”

”Well... it doesn’t have to be immediate, and it’s classified... even I don’t know where the Flying Dragons are kept... this requires notifying the Federation Government...”

”That’s not important, Dad!”

However, before Admiral Goto finished his sentence, Yurika urgently interrupted him again.

”You don’t understand; the Swarm is interconnected and communicates through something called the Psychic Network! Mr. Fang Zheng is the Swarm Overlord! He must already know about the Flying Dragons! If we don’t release them quickly, who knows what might happen!”

”Beep———!!”

Just then, a notification sounded, followed by a crew member loudly reporting.

”Reporting to Admiral, we’ve discovered that the mysterious fleet is heading towards Earth, target location — Antarctica!”

”......”

Hearing this, Yurika broke out in a cold sweat.

Earth Federation, please don’t act recklessly!!
