Chapter 1081: Chapter 1080: Troops Await, Provisions Lead

Although Fang Zheng promised Eiriri and the others to liberate the people of the 11th District from Britannia’s rule, in fact, from the very beginning, Fang Zheng never thought of letting the 11th District become independent again and turn into a nation.

Indeed, within the Earth Federation, there is currently a trend of ”unifying humanity,” but who knows how long this trend can last. Maybe after a decade or so, when everyone thinks the Reapers have been completely eliminated, they’ll start causing trouble again... This possibility is not only there but also significant.

If it turns out like this, then it would be troublesome.

Therefore, Fang Zheng’s initial plan was just one thing, which was to turn the 11th District from Britannia’s 11th District into the Chinese Federation’s 11th District.

That’s right, no matter what happens, Fang Zheng will not let them become independent.

Fortunately, Britannia, this pig teammate, is competent enough. After such a long period of suppression, the tolerance limit for being ruled among the people of the 11th District has significantly decreased. As long as the Chinese Federation doesn’t act as brutally as Britannia, given time, the 11th District will completely become part of the Chinese Federation.

By then, it would be like fifty-seven nationalities, fifty-seven flowers... How wonderful!

”So what should we do now?”

Although the curly-haired man, under Fang Zheng’s guidance, realized that his previous actions were incorrect, there are more pressing matters at hand — the Britannian Army is still slaughtering in the Shinjuku Concentration Camp under the guise of searching for terrorists. But with only a few people and a few guns, what can they do?

”It’s simple.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers.

”Watch, it won’t be long before the situation changes.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, everyone watched as the picture on the floating screen in front of them suddenly changed.

”What happened? What’s going on?”

Meanwhile, residents in the 11th District watching television were shocked to find that the program they were watching was suddenly interrupted. Accompanied by exciting and majestic background music, a show called Ten Minutes of Truth appeared before everyone’s eyes.

Ten Minutes of Truth? What is this?

While everyone was puzzled, the picture changed again. First, a black screen appeared, then a line of large characters suddenly emerged.

”Shocking! The Britannian Army is doing this at the Shinjuku Concentration Camp! Utterly insane and inhumane!”

For Fang Zheng, who is saturated with sensational headlines, coming up with such a title is as easy as pie, but the audience in this world apparently hasn’t seen this kind of reporting style, and one by one they became attentive. But the next moment, when the picture reappeared, everyone was stunned.

In the screen, the entire Shinjuku area was filled with smoke and flames, the sound of roaring planes and gunshots echoed everywhere, and seeing this, many viewers were shocked.

What’s going on? Is there a war happening?

While they were puzzled, a man dressed in camouflage and wearing a helmet appeared in front of the camera.

”Hello, viewers. I am a reporter for the Ten Minutes of Truth segment. My name is ’Z’. Perhaps everyone is still unsure of what’s happening here, so let me explain to you. In fact, some of you may already know that just half an hour ago, the Britannia government in the 11th District closed Shinjuku, claiming that terrorists released poisonous gas here, causing massive casualties. But our Ten Minutes of Truth segment is here to investigate the truth behind this incident... However, we soon found out, the truth is far from it! Viewers, look!”

As he spoke, the reporter ”Z” immediately turned the camera to record the distance, and soon a cruel scene appeared on the television screen.

In a simple open field outside a warehouse, dozens of residents lay sprawled in various positions, riddled with bullet holes and bloodstains, while soldiers in Britannian Army uniforms stood beside them, raising their guns to shoot at other refugees emerging from the shelters!

”Bang!”

Seeing this scene, a blond man stood up angrily, furiously smashed the wine glass in his hand to the ground, shattering it.

”What on earth is happening here? Why is such a news report being broadcast!? What’s the television station doing? Give the order immediately to stop the broadcast!”

This blond man is none other than Clovis la Britannia, the Governor of Britannia in the 11th District. The order to completely clear out Shinjuku was issued by him.

But Clovis never expected that even with the media reporting control already in place, a television station would still dare to broadcast these images!

They are simply brazen!

”Report, report! Master, we have sent people to the TV station to investigate, but the TV station says they know nothing; their satellite broadcast network has been hacked!”

”Shut down the playback immediately!”

”It’s useless! We have tried every method, even physically disconnecting, but nothing can stop the broadcast!”

”Damn it, a bunch of incompetents... wait a minute!”

Saying this, Clovis suddenly thought of something, and cold sweat immediately began to pour from his forehead.

”You say... someone hacked the satellite broadcast network? Which network did they hack?!”

”Re-reporting, Master...”

Upon hearing this, his subordinate also wiped some sweat from his forehead.

”It-it’s the global broadcast network...”

”Thud!”

Hearing his subordinate’s answer, Clovis’s legs went soft, and he slumped into his chair. He certainly knew what this meant: the scenes being broadcast in front of him were not only being shown in the 11th District or the Britannian Empire. It’s being globally televised!

Whether it’s the Eurasian Federation, the Chinese Federation, or other countries in the Atlantic Federation, even PLANT, Orb, and Zeon... everyone saw it!

Everyone!!

And at this moment, the voice of that reporter ”Z” continued to be transmitted from the screen before him.

”Viewers, look. There are no traces of gas here, and these bodies were not killed by gas but were shot. We don’t know why the Britannian Empire is doing this, but we have evidence that this order was issued by Clovis la Britannia, the Governor of the 11th District...”

”Shut up!”

Upon hearing this, Clovis finally could not hold back any longer. He raised his hand and shot at the screen in front of him, shattering it, and thus that incessant voice finally stopped.

”Someone, get someone immediately, find the place where this damn reporter is, capture him and bring him to me alive!”

”Yes!!”

Meanwhile, viewers all around the world were staring wide-eyed at the content on the screen, and soon they saw the screen shake again.

”Viewers, look over there, that’s the Britannian Eleventh Army’s... oh no, I’ve been discovered!”

At this moment, viewers suddenly saw the reporter suddenly jump up, quickly turning around to leave, the camera shaking as he ran, accompanied by the sound of heavy breathing. The picture was no longer clear, but people worldwide were staring with wide eyes, watching the constantly shaking ground on the screen, even hearing the shouts of the Britannian soldiers in the background.

”Stop right there, you’re under arrest!”

”Halt immediately, or we will shoot!”

”Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Amidst a series of gunshots, the entire scene felt just like a movie blockbuster, causing the viewers in front of the TV to subconsciously clench their fists in tension. After a moment, the camera suddenly shifted, and the viewers saw ”Z” leaning against a wall, holding a camera. Not far from him, several fully armed Britannian soldiers cautiously searched with their guns.

”Phew... viewers, it seems the situation isn’t looking good... If it continues, I might be caught. Today’s broadcast ends here. Why Britannia is doing this, whether there are more secrets hidden, our ’Truth’ production team will continue to track and report for you!”

With these words, the screen turned black again.

”This, this is...”

Watching this scene before them, the curly-haired man’s group stood there, dumbfounded.

”To gain victory, we must guide public opinion first.”

Fang Zheng squinted his eyes, looking at the people before him with a smile.

”A great man once said, if we do not occupy the battlefield of public opinion, the enemy will. To overthrow a regime, one must always create public opinion, always engage in the work of ideological fields. Revolutionary classes do so, as do counter-revolutionary classes...”
