Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1085: Chapter 1084: The Troubles of This World Are Just Beginning

For Earth, for humanity, the skirmishes between the 11th District and Britannia aren’t something that would attract any attention. And for the fleets in the universe, even less so.

”This is Leander.”

Standing on the bridge, looking at the giant planet in the distance, Leander played with her hair while staring at the screen, speaking softly.

”Calling the First Fleet, I’ve found remnants of Reapers in the Jupiter space, numbering fifteen, currently in Jupiter’s orbit, no response.”

”First Fleet received. Leander, stay alert, we’re on our way....”

”Understood, Leander out.”

Receiving instructions from Iona through the mental network, Leander nodded, then looked again towards Jupiter. However, in the next moment, her eyes widened in surprise.

”What is that?”

On the radar display, something suddenly began to pour out from Jupiter’s Great Red Spot... that is...

”Leander calling First Fleet! Unknown objects appearing within Jupiter’s Great Red Spot! Count cannot be determined! No identification, preliminary judgment as some form of alien life... Reapers are attacking them!”

During Leander’s call, the Reapers in Jupiter’s orbit also noticed this uninvited guest group from who knows where, and they immediately turned to attack the enemies emerging from the Great Red Spot.

Those things pouring out from Jupiter’s Great Red Spot appeared silvery, resembling warships formed from some kind of liquid metal. In the face of the Reaper’s assault, these strange silver objects immediately launched a counterattack. However, their method of counterattack was somewhat unexpected.

They didn’t use any particle attacks or weapons familiar to Leander, but instead, directly charged at the Reapers and their drones!

”———!!”

Soon, Leander saw dozens of small, missile-like silver-white objects crashing into the Reapers and drones, but they didn’t explode. Instead, they quickly spread across the Reapers’ bodies, as if eroding them!

”What on earth is this?”

Watching the battlefield unfold, Leander was also stunned. She watched as the Reapers were impacted by the massive silver-white objects, grabbed, and rapidly enveloped. Soon, over a dozen Reapers previously in Jupiter’s orbit were completely fused...

”This is Leander, the Reapers have been consumed and fused with the unknown objects, I don’t know what is happening... ugh...”

Suddenly, at that moment, Leander screamed and then half-knelt on the ground.

”Leander? What’s wrong? Leander?!”

”I, I don’t know... some unknown signal is trying to connect with me... unable to parse... my network is being disrupted...”

”Leander, leave it to me!”

”—————!”

At this time, a Pilgrimage Rank ship suddenly jumped in and stopped beside Leander.

”Fate...”

”Cut external connections! Lock down ports, block electronic signal communication network! Full ECM generator! Leander, we withdraw!”

”Ugh... Jump Engine initiated...!”

In an instant, the two warships swiftly vanished, disappearing into the vast Star Sea.

”Unknown alien lifeform?”

Fang Zheng stood up, watching the crowd outside organizing a protest, and asked softly.

”What’s going on?”

”The current situation is unclear. Earlier, a preliminary inspection was conducted on Leander, and her info port received a massive amount of data exchange requests in an instant, which Leander couldn’t process, leading to a certain degree of impact.”

”Is the child alright?”

”No problem, currently under repair.”

Iona’s voice remained calm as always.

”Captain, should we deploy the entire First Fleet?”

”...No, wait...”

Fang Zheng withdrew his gaze from the window, pondered for a moment, then spoke again.

”How are the Reapers in Jupiter’s orbit?”

”Based on current reconnaissance, still stationed in Jupiter’s orbit.”

”Assemble all warships, head to Mars.”

Fang Zheng decisively issued the order.

”Have the Swarm immediately establish a sub-base on Mars, and start proliferation. At the same time, dispatch the Flying Dragon to replace you and conduct reconnaissance in Jupiter’s orbit. During this period, don’t go anywhere, just operate on Mars. Remember, under no circumstances should you make contact with those strange things. If they take any action, report to me immediately.”

”Understood, Captain.”

”Haah... What a headache...”

Closing communication, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but sigh. This universe sure has lots of troublesome matters. Clearly, they haven’t even left the Solar System compared to the material world, yet so many nuisances keep appearing. Alright, Reapers can still be considered an accident, but what is this thing now that can devour and fuse with other metals?

Facing such an enemy, it won’t do to let my fleet take the risk.

Even funnier is the fact that the Earth Federation is still completely unaware of this... That’s also reasonable, given that after the Reaper attack, humanity has essentially lost control within the Solar System. Considering their current fleet and MS numbers, it’s a struggle just to defend Earth and the Moon. I’ve heard the Earth Federation is working on rebuilding the lunar defense line. Obviously, they don’t have the mind to concern themselves with what’s happening on Jupiter.

Although there’s a desire to inform the Earth Federation about this, but... forget it, better let them have some peace for now.

Haven’t even dealt with the Reapers yet, if another scarier alien civilization comes along, Fang Zheng truly fears they’d collectively jump off a building.

In comparison, the little matters in the 11th District aren’t even on Fang Zheng’s mind.

But what Fang Zheng didn’t expect was that while he wanted some peace, others had ideas about him.

”Has the organization already made a decision?”

A girl with black hair tied in twin ponytails, dressed like a traveler with an explorer’s hat, swayed left and right in a rainforest while holding a phone. On the other side, a calm and composed voice spoke.

”That’s right, we’ve decided to make contact with them. This is an opportunity for us, for Earth, and we can’t miss it.”

”But, after eliminating those Reapers, didn’t they disappear?”

The girl flipped over a dead log and landed steadily on the moss-covered ground. If Fang Zheng were here, he would immediately recognize this girl hiking in the rainforest as Wang Liumei, the one who treated him to dinner before.

”We don’t know their phone number, how are we supposed to contact them?”

However, in response to the girl’s question, there was a brief silence from the other side, soon followed by an answer.

”The Nadeshiko.”

”Oh?”

Hearing this, Wang Liumei playfully pointed her finger.

”But, from what I know, ever since the Nadeshiko returned to Earth, it’s been isolated and basically not allowed to interact with others. How are we supposed to snatch people from those old men in the Federation?”

”You don’t need to worry about that.”

In response to Wang Liumei’s inquiry, the voice on the other side revealed a hint of smugness.

”We’ve already entrusted Mithril to handle this matter.”
