Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1076: Chapter 1075: You’re Seeking Your Own Death!

Although Fang Zheng tried to shake off trouble, unfortunately, trouble didn’t seem to want to leave him.

”Looks like the whole block is locked down.”

Looking at the scan records on his personal terminal, Fang Zheng shrugged helplessly.

”They’ve even deployed a robot called ’Nightmare’ to capture us... hmm...”

”Interesting.”

Noticing Fang Zheng’s gaze, Kurumi smiled slightly.

”I would be happy to show them what a real ’nightmare’ is.”

”Well, at least it proves that the young lady we’re holding is worth this country locking down a block and then dispatching mechas to capture her.”

Fang Zheng lifted up the green-haired girl he was holding like a kitten.

”What do we do now?”

”Isn’t it obvious? If people don’t mess with me, I won’t mess with them. If they do... well, just get the idea!”

With that said, Fang Zheng tossed the green-haired girl to Kurumi.

”Black Cat, Asuna, Eiriri, activate the Hard Light Armor, let’s see what these bastards have that dares to block our way! Kurumi, you take this woman and leave first!”

”That’s right, make sure to give them a good beating!”

Eiriri was also angrily clenching her small fists and waving them vigorously. After all, they had come out with great difficulty to go on a date with Fang Zheng and were having such a good time, only to be caught up in this kind of unexpected event. They were saving people out of the kindness of their hearts and were actually being considered terrorists, and they even wanted to kill them to silence them?

The three of them were no longer the ordinary girls they once were. They were survivors who fought their way out of the death game and confronted corpse puppets head-on in the world of quality, killing countless enemies. After participating in wars on a star system scale, the worldview and mindset of the three naturally had significantly changed.

Moreover, the three had always found that Britannia somewhat distasteful. Although this world’s Area 11 was not their homeland, it was at least somewhat related by root. If everything were fine here, they could let it go, but it was clear that the country called Britannia did not take them seriously and actually intended to attack them. This made the three of them furious!

Let’s show them what we’re made of!

With this in mind, the three showed no hesitation, extending their hands, and gently tapping on their personal terminals. The next moment, with a flash of Radiance, they heard a ”swish” sound, and soon the uniforms of the Dark Moon Sword Guild appeared on the bodies of the three girls.

At the same time, blazing flames also burst from Fang Zheng’s body, quickly transforming into the form of a Farron Knight.

”You, what are you...?”

Seeing the scene before her, the green-haired girl was dumbfounded. She finally realized that these ”kind-hearted people” were far more... peculiar than she had imagined!

”Alright, miss, let’s leave first...”

However, before the green-haired girl could say anything, Kurumi smiled, grabbed her by the collar, and the next moment, the two of them vanished into the dark shadow as if sinking into a swamp.

Immediately after, Fang Zheng leaped forward with the three, quickly rushing towards the distance.

At this moment, suddenly, a news broadcast on a street-side television screen caught their attention.

”Currently in the Shinjuku Concentration Camp area, due to gas released by terrorists, a large number of Area 11 residents have suffered fatalities. The government urges citizens to stay home and not go out...”

As the news anchor spoke, the scene changed, immediately showing the truck Fang Zheng and the others encountered before.

”This is the vehicle terrorists used to transport and release the gas. The body of a terrorist was found in the driver’s seat. The army is currently pursuing other terrorists...”

”What gas, this is nonsense!”

Upon seeing this, Black Cat jumped up in anger.

”There’s no gas at all! This is clearly a lie!”

”That’s right, that wasn’t gas inside, it was a person!”

”They said many residents were harmed, but there was no gas, so how could they be harmed?”

Meanwhile, Asuna was evidently contemplating another issue, frowning as she voiced her question.

Hearing this question, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

”No matter what they’re up to, we just need to keep moving forward... Let’s go!”

”Yes.”

By this time, everyone had left the once bustling downtown area and come to nearby ruins. This used to be a very lively district; however, now only the remnants left by the flames of war remained.

”Tatatatata!!”

Walking amidst the ruins, they soon heard a series of gunshots, even faint screams could be heard.

”Mr. Fang Zheng!”

”Let’s go over and take a look!”

Hearing Black Cat’s words, Fang Zheng nodded, then quickly ran towards the direction where the gunfire had sounded.

The place where the battle was taking place was a seemingly completely abandoned warehouse ruins---no, it shouldn’t be called a battle here, but a massacre.

Dozens of heavily armed soldiers wielded their weapons, killing all the unarmed civilians in front of them. Judging by their attire, they seemed to be just ordinary residents. Yet, facing these civilians, the soldiers showed no mercy as they pulled the trigger and killed them all.

”How cruel...”

Gazing at the corpses in front of her, Asuna was dumbfounded, and the others also looked grave.

At this moment, a soldier finished searching the bodies and ran back, saluting his officer.

”Report, no terrorists found, only 11th District residents.”

”Hmm, I know...”

”Waaa... Waaa...”

Suddenly, everyone saw a little girl being dragged out of a container by a soldier. The little girl was crying and struggling vigorously, but the soldier ignored her resistance, pinned her to the ground, and aimed the gun at her head!

”Stop it!”

Seeing this, Black Cat couldn’t bear it any longer and leaped down, landing in front of the girl like a cat. At the same time, Black Cat raised her blade and with a single slash, severed the soldier’s arm along with his weapon into two.

”How can you call yourselves human when you won’t even spare a little girl?!”

”Finally, a terrorist has appeared!”

Looking at Black Cat appearing before him, the officer was not frightened but instead laughed, then raised his hand and suddenly waved.

”Attack!”

”Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!!”

With the officer’s command, the soldiers immediately raised their guns and pulled the trigger on Black Cat. However, contrary to their expectations, the bullets did not kill the cloaked girl as they had anticipated. On the contrary, the bullets bounced back before reaching Black Cat, as if hitting some kind of barrier!

”You guys are worse than corpse puppets!”

Enduring the soldiers’ attack, Black Cat viciously glared at the soldiers in front of her. Then she gripped her scimitar tightly in her right hand, spinning it behind her. With a ”click,” the pitch-black scimitar transformed into a long scythe. Holding the scythe with both hands, Black Cat swung it down forcefully!

”Slash———!”

The dazzling white blade flashed, tearing through the soldiers’ formation instantly. With intense impact, the soldiers screamed as they were blasted away.

However, this was just the beginning.

”Haaah!!!”

Asuna gripped her rapier tightly, dashing like lightning into the soldiers. The howling air currents exploded, scattering the surrounding soldiers. Those flailing soldiers hadn’t even touched the ground when they saw Eiriri, wielding two short blades, speeding through them. As the blade’s light flashed, when they hit the ground, they were already corpses.

The whole process took less than thirty seconds. By the time Fang Zheng reached the warehouse entrance, the fight had already ended. Apart from the little girl, no one else was alive around them.

”Don’t cry, don’t cry...”

Black Cat walked to the girl’s side, holding her gently and comforting her softly. At this moment, the little girl seemed to have found her savior, collapsing into Black Cat’s arms, bursting into tears.

”This is too much! Mr. Fang Zheng! I can’t accept this!”

Looking at the corpses around her, Asuna gripped her rapier tightly. Her originally good mood was now utterly ruined.

”Me too... These soldiers are simply Devils; they won’t even spare a child!”

Saying this, Eiriri turned her head, looking at Fang Zheng.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, can’t we do something about this?”

”Of course we can.”

Facing Eiriri’s inquiry, Fang Zheng nodded.

”The policy of the Heavenly Dao Palace has always been not to interfere in the internal affairs of other factions, but it’s different when it comes to humanitarian crises. Since these guys can do such things and even try to label us as terrorists, we cannot let this go...”

Saying this, Fang Zheng raised his Pitch Black Greatsword.

”Remember, we are the Dark Moon Sword, and the sword to crusade against Reverse God Thief enemies, and now, it’s time for us to step in. To us, they are nothing but...”

”Ears!!!”
