Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1051: Chapter 1050: Resource-for-Support Plan

Although Lieutenant General Anderson had considered the possibility of the other party making exorbitant demands, the quantity that Tilia asked for was still beyond his expectations.

Five hundred thousand tons of Element Zero!

If it were five tons, Lieutenant General Anderson might have reluctantly considered it, but five hundred thousand... that’s simply impossible!

Element Zero is currently the rarest, most expensive, and indispensable precious element in the universe. If calculated in Star Coins, the price of one gram of Element Zero is around tens of thousands of Star Coins.

The reason is simple: Element Zero is the most important raw material indispensable for all civilizations to develop technology, and this raw material is quite rare. Sometimes, only a small amount can be found on one planet in a star system. Because of this, all civilizations highly value Element Zero.

Anderson is just a lieutenant general, and he doesn’t know exactly how much Element Zero the Star Alliance has, but no matter how much, it can’t be five hundred thousand tons...

”So how much can you offer?”

Faced with Anderson’s roar, Tilia remained completely unchanged, still smiling as she looked at the black man in front of her. In fact, the reason she made such exorbitant demands was due to Fang Zheng’s instructions before she left, which was the Resource-for-Support Plan!

It’s important to know that to fight against the Reapers, Fang Zheng allocated ten full fleets in one go, and these fleets all consume resources to maintain. Currently, with Fang Zheng’s Dimensional Count not being replenished, you could say that it’s diminishing bit by bit, compensating for internal losses with external gains, Fang Zheng definitely needs to find a new source for Dimensional Points, and fortunately, he actually found one!

The Element Zero in this world, like the Spirit Crystal in the Main World, can meet Fang Zheng’s requirements for exchanging Dimensional Points!

So from here, it was simple. Indeed, the production of Element Zero is extremely scarce, but is that a problem for Fang Zheng?

If we can’t find it ourselves, we can take it from others.

Of course, as a Lawful Good Paladin, Fang Zheng can’t steal, but acts of heroism should be rewarded. This isn’t extortion, it’s promoting social morality, maintaining social order, and advocating justice!

Otherwise, you see, so many have sacrificed their lives for acts of heroism without any compensation, how could that be right? A Lawful and Good Paladin absolutely cannot stand idly by and let such evil acts flourish!

Promoting justice is everyone’s responsibility, starting with me!

Besides, is five hundred thousand tons a lot? Fang Zheng used Ratziel to investigate, and the current inventory of Element Zero in the entire Star Alliance is one million tons! Asking for only half is already quite conscientious!

Originally, Fang Zheng intended to ask for it all directly, but later thought if the Star Alliance suspected how he knew the exact inventory numbers, it might be troublesome. After all, Element Zero is quite a high-level strategic resource, and the inventory numbers are definitely a secret for each faction.

So after thinking it over, Fang Zheng reluctantly halved it, one, because the Star Alliance is also human, he should give some face for the sake of comrades, and two, because the Star Alliance started their journey into the cosmos relatively late, so the Element Zero they’ve collected isn’t a lot. If you’re going to make excessive demands, you should target those races that entered the universe earlier and collected more Element Zero.

Like the Asari Smurfs or something...

”Um... about fifty kilograms...”

Fortunately, Anderson is a lieutenant general and knows a bit about these matters. He knows there’s a warehouse specifically for storing Element Zero near the Star Alliance Headquarters. Of course, in theory, he shouldn’t have the authority to intervene in such matters, but given the current situation, the entire Star Alliance Headquarters is destroyed, does Anderson still care about this?

Forget about the Star Alliance, pretty much all of humanity is going to be wiped out. Keeping this Element Zero is useless right now, it’s not like it’s going to last ’til next year?

”Fifty kilograms... then, we can only help you reclaim this city.”

Upon hearing Anderson’s response, Tilia pondered for a moment before giving her answer. Hearing Tilia’s answer, Anderson couldn’t help but twitch his mouth.

Reclaim this city? Haven’t you seen how many Corpse Puppets and Reapers are in this city?

”If you can help us reclaim this city, then of course we would compensate you.”

Anderson is a military man, but not an idiot, so he added a small condition. After all, the other party making excessive demands isn’t a problem, but at the very least, they need to demonstrate sufficient strength. If this odd Heavenly Dao Palace can indeed help them reclaim this city, then forget about fifty kilograms of Element Zero, even fifty tons could be arranged.

Of course, five hundred thousand tons... that depends on the situation.

”That won’t be a problem at all.”

And Tilia agreed without hesitation, but she quickly smiled again.

”Well then... we need to build a base here, no problem, right?”

”Of course, that’s fine!”

This time, Anderson nodded without a moment’s hesitation, after all, he thought having a base was perfectly normal. Plus, with Heavenly Dao Palace setting up a base, it would mean they could station there too, at least... finding a place where people could stay!

What Anderson didn’t notice was a girl standing nearby displaying a devastated expression upon hearing his response.

”It’s over, the Old Man doesn’t even know what he just said.”

Eiriri helplessly pressed her hand against her forehead and sighed, while Black Cat shrugged.

”Foolish humans... they don’t even realize what kind of decision they’ve made...”

”Hehehe...”

And Kurumi just stood silently not far away, smiling.

”Since time is pressing, let’s get started then.”

Upon receiving Anderson’s answer, Tilia’s smile grew brighter, then she turned her head and whistled, and Anderson and Shupard saw that strange creature’s large mouth begin to wriggle once again, and soon, a tall and strange-looking Insect Queen emerged from it!

”What is this monster!”

Seeing the Insect Queen in front of them, Anderson, Shupard, and the other soldiers were shocked and involuntarily raised their guns to aim at it, while Tilia stood by, smiling as she watched them.

”Just like your Star Alliance, our Heavenly Dao Palace also has our own combat races, and these Swarm fighters are Elder Brother’s most formidable warriors. With them around, the Reapers are nothing to worry about...”

With that, Tilia looked towards the Insect Queen.

”You know what to do, right?”

”Of course... sss...”

Upon receiving Tilia’s order, the Insect Queen nodded.

”The Swarm... follows the command of the ruler... annihilate... the enemies...!!”

As the Insect Queen replied, the purple-red fungal carpet began rapidly spreading at a speed visible to the naked eye, and simultaneously, like a flood, various Zerg creatures poured out from the wormhole. The oddly shaped drones immediately began morphing into various structures, while Hydralisks and Jumping Bugs formed waves, covering every domain in all directions.

”This... this is...”

Seeing the Swarm Army before them, both Anderson and Shupard felt their scalps tingling as they witnessed a bug morph at an unimaginable speed into a tall flesh-and-blood monster, and then larvae poured out from the chamber holes around the monster. The larva quickly morphed into drones as soon as they appeared, and then located themselves and began transforming once again...

At this point, Shupard finally understood why Fang Zheng had referred to it as Pandora’s Magic Box when he originally gave it to her... she had thought he was joking at the time!

”Report!”

At that moment, as everyone was dumbfounded, a soldier stumbled in.

”The Corpse Puppets and Reapers have appeared again!”

”I understand!!”

Upon receiving the report, Anderson nodded, then he looked towards Tilia.

”Miss Tilia, so...”

”Of course, since we’ve already decided to cooperate, leave the next part to us.”

Speaking, Tilia snapped her fingers, and at the same time, the Insect Queen raised her head, looking forward, and issued the command.

”Swarm... launch!”
