Chapter 571: Chapter 570 Another Strange Hunter Appears

”Splosh!”

Fang Zheng plunged into the pool, the water rushing from all directions, but he did not sink to the bottom of the lake as quickly as he imagined. On the contrary, it felt as if the lake beneath him was a bottomless black hole, constantly pulling him downward... further down...

At the same time, a voice rang out beside Fang Zheng’s ear.

”Curse those demons, curse their offspring... generation after generation, suffering forever...”

”Thud!”

Just then, Fang Zheng’s feet finally hit solid ground, but it was not underwater; he could feel the air, and even... the scent of flames and drafts of air.

Fang Zheng opened his eyes, and after seeing the scene in front of him, he was momentarily stunned.

”This is...”

What stood before Fang Zheng was none other than the small church he had previously been in!

However, this church was entirely different from the one Fang Zheng had been in before. While it looked broadly the same, there were differences in the details. For example, there was no path leading to the cemetery below, and the people who were supposed to be inside the church had vanished without a trace, the air lacking the usual scent of incense from the church.

What the hell is this?

Fang Zheng stepped out of the church, surprised to find that the world before him was different from before. Although it still maintained the appearance of Anan, it was not the Anan Fang Zheng had seen before. Night had already fallen in the previous Anan, but here, the sun was still high in the sky.

Beyond that, Fang Zheng could see the normally neat buildings buried under something resembling a landslide. This world looked... well, not quite normal.

That old man certainly didn’t tell me something like this would happen...

Fang Zheng looked around and did not see Eileen’s figure; he shook his head and proceeded forward. However, to Fang Zheng’s surprise, at that moment, a voice suddenly emanated from the church.

”Oh, look, we’ve teleported to the church, but this church seems a bit different from before...”

Someone?

Fang Zheng turned around to see that exactly where he had just landed, there was now a hunter wearing a hat and a coat. In his right hand, he held a cane sword, and in his left, a firearm. There he was, pacing around in the church, mumbling to himself.

Seeing Fang Zheng standing outside, the hunter paused, then walked toward him.

”Look, there’s a hunter here... Hey, he’s not attacking me... Could this be an invasion? Or perhaps cooperation? Hey, hello...”

While speaking, Fang Zheng eyed the hunter as he made a bow toward him. But when the hunter raised his head, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth...

For a simple reason, that guy’s chin was terrifying!

It was like that of a sliced duck!

If it weren’t for the man’s continual talking, Fang Zheng would have thought he was another mutated hunter!

”Hello.”

Fang Zheng nodded to him, but the hunter with the Big Chin seemed not to hear Fang Zheng’s response, circling around Fang Zheng while still muttering.

”Look, his clothing is different from other hunters, wait, I think I’ve seen this outfit somewhere. And what he’s holding in his left hand isn’t a firearm but a dagger... Hmm? Huh??? No way! Has the Undead Squad invaded Anan?”

”Do you know the Undead Squad?”

Upon hearing the hunter speak, Fang Zheng was also startled and hurriedly asked. But it seemed the hunter really couldn’t hear him, as he just kept circling Fang Zheng, while occasionally uttering exclamations.

”Wow... our luck is so good, to actually see the Undead Squad in Anan, see that? Exactly the same, we don’t know what’s happening, but clearly, it seems like a very interesting thing... hmm, if he doesn’t move, we won’t move, but we still have to continue exploring...”

Fang Zheng found the hunter’s actions strange, and his speech was odd too—one moment he said ’I,’ the next ’we’... If he hadn’t refrained from attacking Fang Zheng right from the start, Fang Zheng might have really thought this was another hunter gone mad.

Hmm, perhaps his madness looked different from the other hunters?

Regardless, it was clear that Fang Zheng wasn’t going to get any information from this peculiar hunter. The other party couldn’t hear a word he said, only reacting a bit to his actions. Although it was uncertain whether this was a mad illusion or something else, it was obviously pointless to waste time here, so Fang Zheng turned and continued up the stairs. Seeing Fang Zheng leaving, the hunter hurried after him.

Just then, Fang Zheng suddenly saw a hunter coming down the steps, who, upon seeing Fang Zheng, did not say a word but raised his firearm and shot!

”Bang!!”

Fang Zheng reacted quickly; as the other raised his gun, he immediately rolled to avoid the attack. At the same time, the voice of Big Chin echoed from behind.

”We see another hunter here, wow, what’s going on here? They’re fighting? Well, we can see that this old hunter is really reckless, starting with a gunshot...”

”Click!”

But before Big Chin could finish speaking, Fang Zheng saw the other hunter raise his right hand and swing his knife toward him as he just got up from the roll. Fang Zheng, of course, wasn’t going to sit there and be killed. He gripped the dagger in his left hand and met the attacking weapon head-on.

”Clang!!”

With the sound of clashing metal, the hunter instantly collapsed to the ground. Fang Zheng then raised the greatsword in his hand and swung it, turning his attacker into a corpse.

”Wow...”

The hunter behind Fang Zheng couldn’t help but exclaim upon seeing this scene.

”We see, the Undead Squad is too cool, execution with a single sword strike! It would be so good if I could get a dagger too... Maybe we could try attacking him? Perhaps we could get that weapon? But never mind, it seems he is at least not our enemy, and we don’t know how powerful he is, it would be troublesome if he killed us in retaliation, we don’t know if something went wrong somewhere, but as nobody has told us they’ve had a similar experience before, for safety’s sake, let’s just follow him...”

This hunter is really nuts.

Hearing the constant chatter of the hunter behind him, Fang Zheng rolled his eyes. He was somewhat surprised that the hunter actually contemplated murder and robbery, but he didn’t care. If Big Chin really dared to seek death, Fang Zheng wouldn’t mind giving him a taste of how formidable he was.

However, it seemed like he had no intention of doing so, so Fang Zheng just let it be.

After killing that hunter, Fang Zheng continued on his way and once again arrived at the church gates. As in the other world, the church’s gates here were also sealed shut, and the hunter by Fang Zheng’s side walked over and looked at the gate.

”Alright, we see the gate is closed again, maybe we can look around for another way to bypass it, there is a switch inside, we should be able to open this door from the inside...”

Hearing Big Chin speak, Fang Zheng shook his head. He had no interest in doing such a boring thing. For Fang Zheng, a door he couldn’t open was always the most annoying part when playing games... you know, when you can kill a Demon King in one blow, why should you be stopped by an ordinary wooden door that’s not even shielded by a Magic Barrier?

Facing the tightly closed metal gate, Fang Zheng made a simple gesture—he lifted the greatsword and then swung it down.

”Boom!!”

The metal gate sealing the church ”again” suffered the same Misfortune; it was directly cleaved away by Fang Zheng’s blow, then flew onto the plaza and crashed to the ground with a loud clang. The hunter behind Fang Zheng was stunned, speechless for a long while.

But Fang Zheng didn’t care what he was doing. He shouldered his sword and continued inside.
