Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 394: Chapter 349: The Legendary Prize

Alright.

Just joking.

The musician’s words are merely a spontaneous reaction. Typically, the instrument he touches most often is still Homiga’s old guitar, and he is committed to adapting all classical pieces into guitar versions and playing them one by one.

After the performance ends, while the passersby were applauding, Shaka, the Gym Leader of Shuanglong Gym, happened to be in the crowd, and he immediately recognized the musician as the rumored ”eccentric,” adept at using music to command Pokémon.

It was evident that the small circle of Gym Leaders was at work again, and from the introduction of the narrator, it seems to be promoted by Boss Ju.

It’s no surprise that this big boss actually built a stage just to let his workers listen to what he deemed good music and promote the musician’s presence.

Big boss, grand style.

The scene shifts.

The musician, following Shaka, arrives at Shuanglong Gym and begins the Gym Challenge.

The latter is indeed strong; even judging by the aura, it’s apparent.

Therefore, to deal with a Gym Leader like Shaka, the musician chose cold, quiet, ethereal music, using the clarinet to create a frigid ice field, greatly enhancing the Ice Attribute moves of Lapras and Jigglypuff, bringing quite some trouble to Shaka.

The sixth badge was successfully obtained.

[You defeated Shaka, the Gym Leader of Shuanglong Gym, and received the Legendary Badge. He greatly appreciated your battle style and also pointed out some shortcomings in this approach]

[You humbly accepted the lesson]

Shaka in the animation is a teacher at Trainer Academy, and also serves as the mayor of Shuanglong City. Seeing such a talented Trainer seed in the musician, it’s hard not to feel thrilled.

Moreover, he directed the musician to the nearby forest, where there might be Pokémon that aroused the musician’s interest—

Kricketune.

Upon hearing Shaka say this, the musician indeed hurried towards the forest near Shuanglong City.

In the game perspective, Kricketune is considered a Pokémon that is hardly useful, but for people in the Pokémon animated world, Kricketune is the best partner for many musicians.

Despite the eagerness.

The musician didn’t forget the best way to find Kricketune—playing the violin.

Accompanied by Jigglypuff, he searched and played all the way, attracting Kricketune with music, and successfully capturing it.

[You captured Kricketune, adding a new member to the orchestra. You looked at your already formed orchestra members with immense gratification]

[You didn’t notice a vague silhouette quietly following your footsteps]

Hmm?

Baimu noticed this line of narration and successfully saw a vague silhouette at the bottom of the light screen.

He really encountered Meloetta!

He never expected that his guess would become reality, and judging by this momentum, maybe the musician could make Meloetta his partner.

If that’s the case, would the probability of winning the championship greatly increase?

Actually, not necessarily.

Baimu is aware of the power displayed by most Mythical Pokémon in the animation; their combat strength is generally not strong and often easy prey for poachers to chase down with Pokémon.

However, they often possess extraordinary magical powers.

Yet the musician in the light screen clearly doesn’t know, he has already been eyed by a Mythical Pokémon, while advancing toward Qinghai City, the location of the penultimate Gym, he attempts to integrate Kricketune into the team.

Kricketune is a Pokémon whose melody varies due to individual differences, its sound resembling a violin—be it cello, viola, or violin.

Research shows that most string instruments in Pokémon World are designed using different Kricketune as prototypes, akin to cement originating from old craftsmen.

Baimu believes it might truly be the case.

The time speed in the scene accelerates.

The scenes mostly depict the musician commanding a group of Pokémon to perform music using instruments, and gaining combat strength through battles, training to increase the number of moves.

From here, it’s clear that the musician is very diligent, not someone who relies solely on talent to perform without any daily training.

What’s a pity.

Meloetta never appeared during this period, and it’s unknown whether it chased for a while and then stopped.

A short while later.

The musician travels through Lacunosa Town and Undella Town, rushing to the destination via the submarine tunnel.

[You arrived in Qinghai City, the calm sea surface inspired you to pick up the violin and perform a wonderful piece with Lapras]

After receiving applause from daily street performances, the musician starts challenging Qinghai Wave Gym.

Xi Ziyi, the Gym Leader, is adept at using Water-type Pokémon and indulges in swimming in the sea.

The musician plays a piece themed on resisting storms and the ocean with the violin, allowing Maractus and Lapras to successfully break through the defenses created by Xi Ziyi’s numerous Water-type Pokémon.

Even though the opponent used massive-sized Pokémon like Wailord.

Moreover, Xi Ziyi was even influenced by the musician’s music.

[You defeated Xi Ziyi, the Gym Leader of Qinghai Wave Gym, and received the Wave Badge. He praised your battle method thoroughly, saying it reminded him of breaking through waves, surviving storms, and witnessing the beautiful scene of clearing rain and sunshine]

Goodness.

Has it reached the point of hallucination?

Baimu secretly clicked his tongue, but actually, he was the same; hearing the musician’s music was like being hypnotized, reminiscent of many things.
