Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 369: Chapter 342: Activating the Earth of the Grand Duke Taisui (Nearly 4-in-1 Super Long Chapter!!)

Judging by the Pokémon from the semifinals, the Pokémon in the finals shouldn’t be too weak. Whether they are stronger than those in the semifinals remains to be seen.

At the start...

Should I switch things up and let Chansey go first?

Although single Highly Poisonous Techniques can easily be countered by the opponent’s healing moves, Chansey also has Sing, Electromagnetic Wave, Light Wall, Telekinesis, Gravity, and Trait Exchange might also come in handy.

Moreover, there’s the Invisible Rock.

The reason for not sending out Aggron is still because this guy hasn’t learned Electromagnetic Levitation yet. This move is crucial for the current team strategy.

Especially given its quadruple weakness to Ground Attribute and lack of mobility.

After a brief consideration, he made his final decision.

The finals arena also appeared on the screen—

The most basic flat land.

Upon seeing it, Baimu first thought about the reason for choosing a regular arena. Was it influenced by Chansey?

The next second.

As the two machines released the Pokémon, he knew the answer.

Inside the arena.

Chansey landed and immediately started running, moving in an irregular path.

At the same time, it saw its opponent—

A particularly fierce-looking Tauros.

”Moo——”

The opponent appeared and let out a long, unsettling moo, which might have scared Chansey in the past, but now, it felt almost nothing.

After a brief moment of panic, it quickly returned to normal.

Looks like the Intimidating Trait.

The ”knowledgeable” Chansey quickly recognized the reason for its earlier panic, but this trait wasn’t useful against it.

Because it doesn’t know any Physical Attack moves... well, except for Pound, usually used for kneading dough to increase toughness.

”Lucky...”

Chansey didn’t approach like before; it knew Tauros is different from Crustle and would approach actively.

But unexpectedly, just as Tauros mooed and prepared to charge forward, the machine above took it back.

Chansey: ”???”

Switching right at the start?

It hadn’t expected such an opportunity and immediately raised its small hand to gather dust from the ground and air, transforming it into floating rocks emitting white light.

After appearing, the rocks quickly became invisible, waiting for their destined targets.

And the destined target arrived much sooner than expected, indeed, a very special target.

”Scree!”

The black-winged, red-faced, red-chested, white-bellied Swellow cried loudly, flapping its broad wings, allowing it to soar freely in the sky and crash into the glowing Invisible Rock.

Bang!

The glowing rock exploded, with fragments striking Swellow’s body violently.

”Scree!”

Swellow cried out in pain.

The Invisible Rock increases in power when hitting Pokémon with a weakness to Rock Attribute, meaning Swellow now felt twice the pain compared to other Pokémon.

But this wasn’t the end.

Baimu inside the room knew the reason for the opponent’s initial switch was due to Tauros’s inability to handle Telekinesis.

However, the opponent might not know that Chansey also has Gravity!

”Lucky!”

While Swellow was still immersed in the pain from the rock bombardment, Chansey raised its little arms high, instantly causing an invisible force to affect the entire arena.

The terrifying strong gravity felt like a tall wall pressing down from the sky, directly forcing Swellow from mid-air onto the ground!

Bang!

”Scree!”

The sudden change again left Swellow in disbelief. It had done nothing upon entering the field but was bombarded and forced onto the ground, unable to fly. Even though it’s quite agile, it struggled to recover.

Meanwhile, the opponent watching the scene through the machine widened their eyes, never expecting that after Telekinesis, Chansey also mastered Gravity. Despite his efforts to better scrutinize the enemy’s strength, he even went to watch the match himself.

Should they switch? In such a situation, wouldn’t switching be the only option?

But if a new Pokémon comes out and is controlled in mid-air with Telekinesis, what then?

As he hesitated, Chansey ”joyfully” approached the floundering Swellow, and while the latter was dazed, Chansey unhesitatingly dropped a toxic droplet at Swellow’s beak.

”Scree!?”

Swellow flapped its wings frantically, eventually managing to stand up after a significant struggle.

It looked at the Chansey, which had distanced itself, puzzled why it didn’t continue attacking, but at least it managed to stand—

Pfft!

Swellow spat ”old blood” onto the ground ahead, the reaction from the Severe Poison state was faster and more intense than expected, but it also triggered its trait [Perseverance].

If it could still take flight, it was confident Chansey wouldn’t stand a chance.

But given its current state...

Swellow mulled it over for a moment, starting to move like the Dodrio it encountered before, using its claws to approach and attempt an attack on Chansey.

”Scree!”

It refuses to accept defeat!

Swellow’s eyes locked onto Chansey, not expecting that after a brief hesitation, Chansey showed an expression similar to ”You can do it.”

Such arrogance made Swellow burst with rage, screeching as it charged at Chansey, flapping its wings rapidly!

In an instant.

Countless pristine Wind Blades flew forward swiftly!

[Air Slash]!

”Lucky~”

Chansey instinctively spun around, easily dodging the uncoordinated Air Slash, perhaps Swellow could have aimed better from the sky.
