Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 368: Chapter 342: Moving the Tai Sui Earth (An Extra-Large Nearly 4-in-1 Chapter!)

The final match.

The organizers gave Baimu’s Pokémon half an hour to rest.

He released Mawile and Chansey, checked the condition of both Pokémon, and replenished their depleted attribute energy with Wild Apple juice.

Then he lit some incense and gave them massages to help relax their intense emotions that had just surged.

In the game, Wild Apple can be used to restore depleted PP, and in reality, it speeds up the recovery of attribute energy, which is very suitable for the current pre-competition state.

The semifinals victory was smooth, thanks to Mawile’s unexpected strike and attribute advantage. Its explosive speed left Gigalith unable to respond; based on the fact that it needed Enhanced Fist as a follow-up after enduring Iron Head, its level isn’t low.

Donphan as well, managing to dodge Mawile’s early-aimed Ice Storm at the start and quickly reorganizing to counterattack with Ultimate Shock. If it weren’t for Mawile’s Sword Dance and Enhanced Fist amplifications, the win wouldn’t have been as easy.

As for Crustle... There’s no need to discuss it. Another unlucky one sealed by Chansey’s Telekinesis. Just breaking out of Spiritual Power’s Binding through Shell Breaking shows that Telekinesis isn’t strong enough to ignore everything. If it used Shell Breaking again, it might have broken free.

Unfortunately, it got scared out of its wits.

Honestly, the drawbacks of Telekinesis are significant. The most important point is that without Chansey’s continuous output, it would only make someone float.

This also means that as long as the Pokémon in question has the ability to move in the air, it’s not really afraid of this move. Against bird Pokémon, this move isn’t that effective.

Of course.

If Chansey isn’t foolish and encounters a bird Pokémon, it’ll definitely use [Gravity]. Losing Flying Ability, most bird Pokémon become Torchics.

After Baimu’s maneuvers.

The fatigue on Mawile’s face diminished significantly. Trading Ultimate Shock with Donphan wasn’t without cost, and the strong move’s aftermath certainly burdened it.

Seeing Baimu’s expression, Mawile suddenly became alert, ”Tch do?”

”No switch, no switch, just rest easy.”

He quickly reassured it with a few words.

Indeed, a thought had flashed by to swap Mawile for Steelix, but he didn’t expect it to notice. Was his expression really that obvious?

Mawile doesn’t seem like the type to read faces...

Baimu pondered and felt it might be due to increased closeness, reaching the level where just a frown can signal restroom needs.

Could it lead to Telepathy?

Probably difficult. Ash Ketchum and Pikachu only experienced similar scenes at death’s door in a movie, where Pikachu unexpectedly said, ”Because I want to stay by your side,” evoking both emotion and shock.

He returned Mawile to its Pokeball, then patted Chansey’s fluffy head, praising its earlier performance.

”I didn’t expect you to complete an entire routine on your own. Not easy.”

Baimu understood that mental barriers aren’t easy to break through.

Chansey being able to defeat a Pokémon with Severe Poison without his command signifies it’s close to using offensive moves independently.

It’s not about lacking Chansey’s combat strength, just not willingly letting it shift to logistics. With its own desire to overcome its mental weaknesses, as a trainer, what else can he offer but support?

Moreover, in the previous three Gym challenges, it hadn’t appeared, and though Chansey didn’t say it, it was actually quite disappointed. Baimu had to promise it a chance in future appearances.

”Lucky~”

Chansey beamed happily, its small curls bouncing.

Baimu returned it to the Pokeball, looked around at the surroundings, and started moving the table and sofa. It took some effort to create a space where Aggron could feel comfortable.

Though the ceiling was a bit low...

In such a setting, expectations can’t be high.

He released Aggron, inspecting its condition and giving it a pre-game pep talk.

”Just one match left. Don’t bear too much pressure. Face it calmly with a normal mindset. Just learning Sharp Stone Attack means this competition is worthwhile.”

Baimu patted its big head.

”Roar~”

Aggron wagged its tail to indicate it was relaxed and felt no burden.

Participating in this competition was naturally for fun and the Pokémon Egg.

Getting the egg would be ideal, but if it wasn’t possible, a bit of disappointment was understandable but not significant. It would only mean fate didn’t align with that particular egg.

The main point is the competition helps Pokémon develop independent battle awareness.

From the present situation, Aggron and the others performed well. Mawile, though a bit clumsy, didn’t make any major mistakes and quickly crammed some knowledge after realizing its lack.

After the Tent competition, it will likely try to learn to read to avoid similar awkward situations in the future.

Thinking of this brought a small sense of joy to Baimu.

He began to look forward to Mawile’s frustrated but determined face as it started learning words.

——

Soon after.

The finals commenced.

Only after reconfirming that Mawile was in good condition did Baimu place the three Pokeballs onto the transfer device.
