Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 389: Chapter 348: Empathy Melody (Multi-in-1 Super Chapter!)

Successfully hypnotizing Scolipede, the musician did not capture it.

Instead, he ended this impromptu concert and bid farewell to the Wild Pokémon, leaving with Jigglypuff.

Clearly, he wasn’t very interested in Pokémon like Scolipede. Baimu thought he probably preferred Pokémon with a musical element...

Kricketune?

Are there traces of it in Unova?

Baimu couldn’t be certain.

Seeing the musician smoothly pass by Floccesy Ranch, he couldn’t help but feel a bit regretful, knowing that in the game this farm is where Riolu can be found.

In the animation’s background, it’s probably absent, since the ranch has been contracted out, unlike the game where wild grass is everywhere.

Meanwhile,

The musician smoothly reached Floccesy Town.

[You’ve arrived at Floccesy Town, the strong country vibe drove you to the town’s liveliest tavern, discussing with the owner about playing a tune on stage]

Baimu watched him swagger into a tavern, only to be pushed out even faster.

[You were sternly refused entry by the owner due to your age, and hearing that minors aren’t allowed inside, you felt a bit disappointed. Your idol Homiga is always invited to perform everywhere, yet you can’t even play your music in a bustling tavern]

This owner... what a good person!

It’s indeed not ideal for minors to enter taverns, even if the intention is to make music.

On the other hand,

Not able to enter the tavern, the musician didn’t give up, instead played the guitar near the tavern door, choosing a catchy tune, singing and swinging.

His and Jigglypuff’s lively performance quickly attracted the attention of bystanders.

However, a Pokémon troubadour in the Unova Region seems quite common, so people were attracted to the musician and Jigglypuff’s singing but weren’t too surprised, and many happily tossed coins into the guitar bag.

[Seeing people throw money into the guitar bag made you very happy. Though you don’t lack money, you felt recognized, one step closer to achieving your dream]

Baimu listened to the quite catchy song, seeing the musician’s head constantly popping out smiley faces, honestly a bit curious why he chose this path.

With the wealth to buy so many instruments, he must come from a musical family and could have made a name in classical music.

Yet he started not in a concert hall, performance hall, or even a music room, but in a small warehouse, looking with aspiring eyes at Homiga’s underground rock performance venue.

And not once did the musician’s parents appear from start to finish.

Passed away?

Or... argued with family like a chef?

Baimu felt if the musician came from a classical music family but admired an underground rock singer, even if that person is a Gym Leader, the musician’s parents probably couldn’t accept it.

Of course, at this point, these are just his speculations, not reliable.

On screen,

The musician’s performance at the tavern’s entrance quickly drew the owner’s attention, unfortunately not to invite him in, but to have him leave.

[Upon hearing the owner request you leave, fearing Officer Jenny might inquire and cause trouble for him, you pack up your belongings in disappointment. But before leaving, you hear applause from the bystanders, which invigorates you again.]

The simulator showed the sky nearing dusk.

Unexpectedly, the musician didn’t spend the night in Floccesy Town, but went outdoor, choosing to camp.

[You’ve learned many musicians create their works inspired by nature, so you try to replicate this action]

In the forest,

The musician skillfully set up a tent and made a fire solving dinner, making Baimu quite surprised.

This guy really isn’t the sort to be waited on hand and foot.

”How unexpected...”

This independence and self-sufficiency led him to certain thoughts.

And after a simple dinner, the musician habitually took out his guitar to play and sing, though he’d been doing so all day, still having the energy—

[Physically Strong] isn’t just a talk; achieving this requires inhuman endurance.

Unfortunately,

The night only featured Jigglypuff’s solo and the musician’s solo, not because the musician’s voice was exhausted, but compared to the lively tune at the tavern, the nighttime melody was soothing and gentle.

It needed Jigglypuff’s ethereal voice to sing, which isn’t suited for his voice.

”Quite pleasant.”

Baimu initially treated the guitar sound as background music, but found himself relaxing upon hearing it, continuing to observe the simulation in a slouched posture, and was somewhat surprised upon realizing.

The emotional transmission effect was quite impressive!

Original? Or an existing song?

He hurriedly noted the melody and called upon Porygon, taking advantage of the musician in the simulator still playing, letting it dive into the phone to activate the humming recognition mode.

Frankly, Porygon tackled such a task for the first time, thankfully the trainer had some musical talent, not singing off-key, or it would have struggled to search by melody.

”Porygon!”

Porygon in the phone signaled the completion of the search.

Baimu moved the screen outside the light screen, discovering it was a piece of classical music, only adapted by the musician for guitar.

Not original...

He felt slightly disappointed, if the piece were the musician’s original, he could maybe rival a musical prodigy like Beethoven, what a pity.
