Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 357: Chapter 338: Aquatic Battle (Part 3)

The power of this move doubles when in a poisoned state!

Get down for me!

The Tentacruel, smug and satisfied, watched as the Mawile was hit directly by the Mud Wave, but its expression quickly became stiff.

Wh-Why does it seem to have no effect at all?

It looked in shock at the Mawile, who showed no sign of pain or poisoning, just furiously wiping itself with one hand and raising the other in disgust and disdain, unable to comprehend the current situation.

Of course.

It didn’t know how many times its Trainer had hammered the table in the room, nor how loud Baimu was laughing.

”Gido!”

Crush this disgusting creature to dust for me! Aggron!

Before stepping down using Passing the Baton, the Mawile let out a near voice-cracking shout, and it was no surprise it was so angry—no one would be happy when covered in such a foul-smelling thing, let alone one that cares so much about its own image.

But it remained rational, knowing that an opponent like Tentacruel, adept at entanglement, was too much for it to handle, and getting dragged into the water could be troublesome.

Handing it over to the swimming and heavyweight Aggron was the best choice.

The Mawile turned into a white light that flew into the machine, which quickly ejected a second Pokeball.

Bam!

The Pokeball opened in mid-air, flashing brightly.

Boom!

A massive shadow plunged into the water, creating an even bigger splash than before, with the unfortunate float board getting pushed to the edge of the arena by the surging water.

”Roar!!”

Aggron slowly emerged from the water, letting out a menacing low growl toward the nearby Tentacruel.

Only when it saw this shiny, steel-clad big monster did Tentacruel finally understand what was up with that Mawile earlier—turns out it was Steel Attribute, huh?

Couldn’t you at least look more like a Steel Attribute Pokémon, like this big guy?

Clearly, it looks so soft, with so much hair on its surface—where’s even a hint of being Steel Attribute!

Tentacruel was overwhelmingly indignant, painfully aware it had made a very elementary mistake and would likely get scolded when returning.

No,

I have to find a way to take down this guy!

It propelled its body up abruptly and slammed down hard, the azure waves rising and turning into a terrifying giant wave sweeping toward the airborne Aggron!

Unexpectedly, the latter not only didn’t back down from the giant wave but plunged toward the water with brute force!

”Roar!”

Boom!

The azure waves rolled up violently, clashing with the surging tide Tentacruel had created, yet the seemingly belated wave showed no sign of losing any power!

Even if eventually the prior wave overpowered the latter, the remaining energy couldn’t hit the resurfacing Aggron.

”Blub blub...” Tentacruel bubbled speechlessly.

It almost lost count of how many times it felt shock—was this guy a Water Attribute Pokémon too? Otherwise, how could its wave impact be so strong, matching with its own?

Steel Attribute... its most advantageous poison moves were nullified like this, so what else could it do staying on?

Just as Tentacruel was mentally overwhelmed, it suddenly saw electric flashes sparking between Aggron’s horns.

Electric Techniques!

It was startled and quickly attempted to dodge by diving underwater.

Who would have thought Aggron would follow it down without hesitation and mercilessly release countless electric arcs forming Electric Shock Waves at the bottom!

Buzz—Buzz—

The whole pool bottom lit up instantly, strong currents causing Tentacruel’s body to twitch.

Luckily, its Special Defense was quite good, and the power of Electric Shock Wave wasn’t too big, so it was very fortunate not to be taken down by Aggron.

But this brief pause allowed the gap between Aggron and it to close quickly.

Aggron thrashed its body and tail madly to boost its momentum, the murderous intent in its gaze making the just-shocked Tentacruel’s heart quiver. A blue glow lit up between its horns, swiftly enveloping its whole body!

A fierce Energy Giant Dragon rapidly formed!

Underwater Dragon Dive!

”Blub blub—” Agitated, Tentacruel hurriedly waved its tentacles, futilely trying to form a wall while entangling Aggron to fend off the impact.

Yet, Tentacruel underestimated the Aggron who inherited the Mawile Sword Dance and the grand surge of Dragon Dive!

The two machines above the water were just facing the surface, seeing only pale blue lights flashing intensely, followed by an explosion as terrifying as a torpedo, causing water to soar into the sky!

Boom!!

Tentacruel was sent flying along with the splashing waves, crashing heavily back into the water.

When the water calmed and Aggron emerged, the Tentacruel floating on the surface already bore the telltale signs of defeat.

The first one.

At last, in such a complex environment, it was taken down!

Aggron and Baimu in the room both sighed in relief, as it, having never fought a water battle, once struggled with how to defeat the opponent.

Fortunately, the opponent seemed not too bright, providing it a chance to capitalize.

And it successfully identified the procedures for tackling this kind of underwater enemy.

First—

Electric Fish!

Aggron fixed its gaze on the machine in the sky. When seeing it launch a Pokeball toward a distant place, it immediately swam in that direction.

It found that moving in the water using Electromagnetic Levitation was quite rapid.

Electric lights flickered between its horns, and the moment the opponent appeared, innumerable electric rings rapidly spread out!

The Seaking entering the water, just like Yanmega before, didn’t even see its opponent before being shocked into dizziness by the spreading electric rings.

”Roar!”

Aggron followed the same routine, its body shrouded in a white halo, turning into a morning star charging at Seaking!

”Blub!”

The Seaking, almost rolling its eyes white, spat out a bubble. Seeing the charging Aggron made it panic, frantically wagging its tail fin attempting to evade.

Aggron gave it no such chance, lowering its head and tensing its claws to speed up, sailing through the waves like a swordfish, crashing with utmost force into Seaking!

Thud!

The Seaking let out a breath, flying backward heavily against the rock wall, utterly incapable of resisting the powerful Sacrifice Impact, like an eight ball hit on a pool table.

And undoubtedly, this strike successfully took it down, too.

”Roar~”

The strategy was so smooth.

Use the Electric Fish to stall, then Sacrifice Impact or Dragon Dive to take it down in one go.

If there were a Trainer present, certainly the opponent wouldn’t be this unguarded, what a pity.

Aggron gleefully swam around; it found swimming unexpectedly entertaining for the first time. Third opponent, hurry and come out~

It looked expectantly at the machine, which was desperately swiveling its turret, attempting to find a place that was hard for Aggron to pursue.

But in such a field, there was none.

And finally, the third one—

Mantine.

This guy nearly passed out just from taking Aggron’s Electric Shock Wave alone; its performance made Aggron guess it was particularly weak against Electric Attribute, directly foregoing close combat, opting instead to launch a second Electric Shock Wave.

It also honestly fainted in response.

”Roar—!!”

Aggron bellowed skyward, backstroking with its tail wagging.

Victory!

Inside the Trainer’s room.

Baimu applauded, ”Clever! So clever! As expected of my Pokémon!”
