Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 393: Chapter 349: Legendary Rewards

The musician quickly adjusted his state and released his four Pokémon.

Classic jazz floated out.

The atmosphere was quickly ignited by his highly empathetic melody. It might not be as exciting as rock, but it gave the workers a feeling that it would be very comfortable to have a drink while listening.

After several pieces, the musician and his Pokémon band, including Jigglypuff, quickly captured the hearts of the workers below the stage.

Baimu also listened happily.

Once upon a time, he wouldn’t even think about concerts, considering attending these merely a waste of time, like offering fine grain to a pig.

But now, listening to the cheerful jazz, recalling the classical music that had also provided quite the experience, he thought that if given a chance, it wouldn’t hurt to listen.

In the midst of his musing.

The musician’s style in the simulator suddenly changed.

From jazz to a somewhat grand classical music, the tones of Jigglypuff and Altaria began to rise, Chimecho’s timbre became vast and boundless, nothing like the sound a small frame could release, while Maractus’s rattling percussion brought a drumbeat-like rhythm.

Of course.

All of this was composed by the musician with a violin that appeared in his hand at some point.

Baimu was about to jot down the tune, but found the performance had already concluded. This grand ”symphony” seemed short, yet it left quite a ripple in his heart.

A large number of ellipses emerged above the workers’ heads below, clearly indicating they too were shaken.

The narrator suddenly appeared.

”Looking at the expressions of everyone below, you feel both proud and sad. Although you have told yourself your goals countless times, you once again admonish yourself to achieve your musical dreams, only in this way...”

The scene gradually dimmed.

Only what?

For God’s sake, finish the sentence!

Baimu almost turned the table over, as it was the first time the narrator pulled such a mysterious scene, causing him extreme discomfort on a physical level.

Luckily, the simulator mostly knew he was in an angry state and quickly had the musician play a relaxing tune for him.

Under the influence of the music, his mood gradually calmed down.

Although disgusted for a moment, seeing as it stubbornly refused to let him listen more and played the riddle game.

This piece should be the musician’s original composition.

But as a fanboy of a pop star, to compose classical music... could it be not quite right? And it seems it’s not yet complete.

Why?

Had something happened before it was completed?

Baimu looked at the screen,

At this moment, the musician had already arrived at Mistralton City, challenging his Fifth Badge.

And this time, the genre of music he used—

was rock.

The rock music his idol Homiga excelled at.

Strong and frantic, as if an electric current stimulating a fierce rhythm surrounded Jigglypuff with thunder, bringing extremely frightening damage to the bird-type Pokémon of the Mistralton Gym Leader, Skyla.

Especially the final showcased Swanna of Skyla, quad weak to electric, even using the magical technique of the Water Flow Ring to shield the current, still couldn’t withstand the attack frequency that under the mad rock music was comparable to the Chicago Typewriter of Jigglypuff.

It was taken down with a Hundred Thousand Volts.

”You defeated Mistralton Gym Leader Skyla and obtained the Jet Badge.”

With the Fifth Badge in hand, the musician was another step closer to stepping onto the stage of the Huiyuan Conference.

Unfortunately, Brycen, the Gym Leader of Snowflake City, was currently focused on acting, preventing him from obtaining the Sixth Badge here.

However.

When he arrived at Route 8, passing by Cylinder Bridge, he encountered the fifth Pokémon he had dreamed of—

Lapras.

Being a highly intelligent Pokémon capable of sending its voice across a thousand li and widely believed to have a wonderfully melodious voice, it was very suitable to become a member of the Pokémon band.

So the musician, riding Altaria, tirelessly pursued Lapras.

Eventually, he successfully captured it.

Due to years of human over-protection, Lapras was no longer as rare and scarce as before; at this rate, it could soon become a common Water-type Pokémon.

”You captured Lapras, and the band has a new member.”

With a new member added.

The musician commenced its intensive special training, and thanks to Lapras’s capability to sing an extremely low-frequency, ethereal tone, allowing it not only to serve as a chorus but to also create a grand and odd organ-like melody in harmony with Chimecho.

As a listener, Baimu could hardly imagine such a melodious sound coming from a Pokémon.

And soon, the increasingly well-formed Pokémon band, after the special training ended, came to Shuanglong City.

”You’ve arrived in Shuanglong City, where the fusion of new and old, technology and history reminds you of majestic epic music, inspiring you to seek out a square to perform with your Pokémon.”

The music started.

Baimu was once again immersed in the pictures and emotions the musician showcased for him, almost like he could actually see Unova’s grand historical spectacle through those melodies.

It was undoubtedly a symphony, as the musician performed this piece with an attitude akin to ripping off his outer coat, expressing ”no more pretending, cards on the table, I am a classical musician.”
