System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”If any of the teachers at Xiangya Hospital are interested in learning, they’ll bring the Vascular Suturing and Nerve Suturing Techniques to the competition.”

Tong Yuan’an was stunned for a moment after hearing this and sighed, ”You’re better off not saying anything than saying this.”

”Anyway, you’re part of Union Hospital. It’s fine if all the benefits go to your own hospital.”

Is Lu Cheng talking like a human?

What you can confidently win an award with now is the Tendon Suturing Technique and the Parenchymal Organ Suturing Technique. If you don’t compete and teach these techniques to people at Union Hospital, you’re basically gifting them, paving the way for yourself.

Can Xiangya Hospital outdo Union Hospital in Vascular and Nerve Suturing?

Lu Cheng continued with a smile, ”Teacher Tong, you’re also my teacher, so that’s why I’m gifting your colleagues.”

Tong Yuan’an retorted irritably, ”You’re giving suturing techniques from Union Hospital? What’s the use of that?”

Lu Cheng replied, ”A technique is a technique, a method is a method. Only techniques that have formed a standard routine can be called methods.”

”Union Hospital’s nerve suturing hasn’t formed a ’named’ technique yet!”

”If your colleague from Tong could actually take first place in that regard, wouldn’t it be interesting?”

Lu Cheng’s tone was a bit mischievous, somewhat flippant, as if he enjoyed stirring up trouble.

Tong Yuan’an, not being dim-witted, had no problem understanding Lu Cheng’s implication.

His eyes blinked rapidly a few times, ”What do you mean?”

”The literal meaning,” Lu Cheng replied quickly.

”Just two points: I’m not going to compete, and I don’t want the people I don’t want to win to take home the prize!”

”If possible, I’d like the people I want to win to get higher awards.”

Lu Cheng’s words sounded a bit eccentric, as if the micro competition was his toy.

Lu Cheng seemed to want to control the rules, deciding who should win, as if saying who should win meant they must win.

Tong Yuan’an let out a ”Hey,” ”Who do you think you are?”

”Not talking about nerve suturing, how are you going to let us win in the main event of vascular suturing?”

”Everyone basically has a 100% immediate vascular patency rate!”

Lu Cheng replied, ”Speed, vessel diameter, segmental separation.”

”A 100% from one segment can’t compare to a 100% from two or three segments. A 100% sutured in ten minutes definitely won’t be rated as high as one done in five minutes.”

Upon hearing this, Tong Yuan’an fell silent!

Sure enough, Tong Yuan’an went silent again.

He understood what Lu Cheng meant; Lu Cheng was suggesting he might once again modify these two suturing methods.

Lu Cheng had a track record.

If it weren’t for Lu Cheng’s prior research on the Tendon Suturing Technique and the Parenchymal Organ Suturing Technique, Tong Yuan’an would want to spit in Lu Cheng’s face.

But Lu Cheng had a track record and was unruly.

The suturing technique for parenchymal organs like the spleen, something that shouldn’t exist, was developed by Lu Cheng, and it even drove Chen Song into silence, proving the technique’s authenticity.

Based on these, when Lu Cheng now says he’s improved the nerve and vascular suturing methods, do you believe him?

Instinctively, you wouldn’t believe Lu Cheng could be so crazy.

But rationally, you wouldn’t outright disbelieve him either but would rather hold a ”better safe than sorry” attitude.

Tong Yuan’an’s mind was blown, so much that he felt his own actions were somewhat distorted.

Why?

Why does Lu Cheng’s output come along like goat feces, producing as he goes?

It wasn’t until Tong Yuan’an sutured two veins that he broke the silence in the operating room, his voice hoarse and stern, ”This is not a joke to make.”

”Teacher Tong, I can joke, but I wouldn’t make this kind of joke with you.”

Lu Cheng’s tone was also very formal, ”Moreover, you already know I’m a petty person, not a noble one.”

”What I’m doing is based on two points.”

”First, I can’t go out to compete anymore. Otherwise, I’d still want to take first place in all four categories.”

”Second, no matter what, Huashan Hospital cannot take first, and no one from Union Hospital’s hand surgery can take first.”

”Just because mentally, it’s not satisfying.”

”Then once again,” Tong Yuan’an couldn’t finish his sentence.

How high-minded you are!

You don’t want Huashan Hospital and Union Hospital’s hand surgery to win, so you use original techniques to occupy the top position. What a refreshingly uncommon reason.

Tong Yuan’an’s resolve crumbled, much more fragmented than Xie Yuan’an’s.

”Teacher Tong, let’s wait until tomorrow after we’ve seen it,” Lu Cheng said with a smile.

Lu Cheng looked at the panel content and felt quite confident.

Tong Yuan’an warned again, ”Xiao Lu, you’re already excellent enough, you don’t need to add more weight to set a benchmark for yourself.”

”As long as you do your best, you’ll be outstanding, very outstanding! If you’re just joking, Teacher Tong can pretend it’s not serious.”

”But if I do call people over, even if we don’t spread it, the label of you being a goof will settle in our minds.”

”There aren’t many downsides to this, but there aren’t any benefits either.”

Tong Yuan’an can call people over, and surely will.

For hand surgery, the new creation of the Tendon Suturing Technique doesn’t have particularly much original significance, just not wanting neighboring countries to ride over us, that’s all, it’s a passion-driven meaning.

For hand surgery, the new creation of the Parenchymal Organ Suturing Technique also has nothing to do with hand surgery, as hand surgery doesn’t involve parenchymal organs, so Tong Yuan’an would only give Lu Cheng his blessings.
