System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

The spleen preservation surgery should first be cautiously referred to as spleen suturing skill. Once the surgical technique is mature, it can be classified as spleen preservation surgery. This is the direction of clinical research development.

”This... doesn’t seem possible, does it?” Xie Yuan’an’s eyes widened, her lips puffed up, and her heart-shaped face was about to turn into a watermelon shape.

”Of course, there’s a basis for it. Would I dare to speak like this without any preliminary research?” Mu Nanshu chuckled.

”Some time ago, I had already agreed with the hospital’s research department that if I could run these two projects, I wouldn’t need to return to the lab for a few years.”

Good teaching hospitals all have their own dedicated research personnel.

Dedicated research personnel, as the name suggests, only engage in research and do not handle clinical duties. They are on an annual salary system.

The core requirement is to have a certain amount of research output to enhance the hospital’s overall research strength.

The basic tasks are a few points: first, secure project proposals, second, conduct projects, third, produce articles.

As long as you can accomplish these basic points, you are the ’sales champion’ in the hospital, and you do not need to sit in the laboratory.

Moreover, top-level dedicated research personnel cannot produce results just by sitting in an office.

Projects are done, not just read or written about.

Xie Yuan’an’s eyes continued to widen: ”Did you bypass Professor Dong and Professor Zhong and contact the research department directly?”

”Sister Xie, I’m a free person, you know.”

”My contract is signed with the hospital, not with the Digestive Department Lab. I’m not lab-hired staff or department-hired staff, so why can’t I communicate directly with the research department?” Mu Nanshu replied quite directly.

The talent introduction policy for Mu Nanshu couldn’t be provided by the lab. After securing her job, she was placed in the Digestive Department Lab by the hospital, not ”caged.”

The Union Hospital’s research department is also quite opportunistic. As long as you have enough research output, it’s easy to negotiate for even an exclusive lab, let alone leaving the lab.

”Alright then, Xiao Mumu, you are indeed impressive.”

”I wouldn’t dare bypass our boss and connect directly with the hospital.” Xie Yuan’an looked at Mu Nanshu and couldn’t help but recall some past events.

Xie Yuan’an really suspects that Mu Nanshu might have had unusual dealings with that academician from the hand surgery department at Huashan Hospital in the past.

”But Xiao Mumu, how do you ensure the hospital will agree to your application?”

”Our hand surgery’s Professor Zhong still has significant influence in the hospital.”

”Aren’t you afraid of backlash?” Xie Yuan’an confirmed that Mu Nanshu already had her own ideas and turned around to ask about her thoughts at the time.

”I focus on research, so naturally, I have my own intuition.”

”Union Hospital definitely wants several firsts.” Mu Nanshu said.

”Mainly because I have strong confidence in my operations, without confidence, how can one discuss operations?”

Xie Yuan’an suddenly realized: ”You mean, from the moment you came to the hospital, you never intended to stay long in the Digestive Department Lab?”

”Not really. My initial plan was to first apply for my own project in the Digestive Department Lab and then take it elsewhere.”

”Completing my own project is a legitimate reason.”

”But now it’s not necessary; I don’t have to strain my brain cells so much.”

”Lu Cheng has already produced a better project than I have.”

Xie Yuan’an suddenly asked again: ”So, aren’t you afraid that Lu Cheng never intended for you to participate in these projects?”

Mu Nanshu didn’t reply, only giving Xie Yuan’an a meaningful look.

Xie Yuan’an’s expression suddenly became constrained, then boldly puffed out her chest: ”My relationship with Lu Cheng is very clear, don’t look at me like that.”

”I understand.” Mu Nanshu continued eating noodles...

...

Sha City, in the private room.

After several rounds of drinks, Tan Zhongyuan said to Lu Cheng: ”Anyway, this is the situation, and this is the state of affairs. I haven’t embellished anything, just wanted to inform you in advance.”

”Xiao Lu, you’re a smart person, you’ll surely have your own judgment. Knowing such a situation early allows you to prepare in advance to avoid being caught off guard.”

Tan Zhongyuan didn’t embellish or hit someone when they were down; instead, he informed Lu Cheng of the truth, allowing Lu Cheng to choose freely.

The aim is that even if Lu Cheng doesn’t choose to approach Xiangya Hospital, it’s still a friendly gesture.

There’s a saying in the world: when you’re strong enough, you’ll find that there are more good people around.

If you haven’t discovered such a situation, generally, it’s because you’re not strong enough yet.

”Director Tan, thank you for your sincere words. However, at the moment, Teacher Zhong has not contacted me to discuss this matter.”

”From my perspective, I am someone who doesn’t know, so I can’t offer you an answer.” Lu Cheng said with a smile.

Lu Cheng is not the type to believe rumors easily.

In today’s highly informatized age, the authenticity of various information is hard to debate, so it’s best not to take a psychological stance prematurely.

Otherwise, if Tan Zhongyuan played him, he’d be stuck in a lose-lose situation.

”However, the care and support from Director Tan and Teacher Tong is something I sincerely feel.” Lu Cheng thought his words were insincere.

But insincerity is a business card for adults.

Lu Cheng addressed Tan Zhongyuan as Director Tan and referred to Tong Yuan’an and Zhong Junyun as Teachers, which everyone could clearly hear.

Tan Zhongyuan’s voice was rather gentle, and he stroked his chin at this moment: ”Dr. Lu, actually, my point is quite simple.”
