System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Xiao Lu really didn’t have a good solution, except to follow the ’resignation’ path.

But once you resign, your resume will have a gap, and that’s not the best option.

The key point is, the current situation at the County Hospital, at least it’s famous throughout the province, the director’s self-surrender has certainly sounded the alarm for many people.

The ones especially worried now are the leaders of the Health Bureau, particularly the discipline inspection team.

A county Renmin Hospital’s director embezzled sixty million, and you didn’t notice???

How is work being carried out?

Errors deserve punishment, and of course those people would prefer to have a little more achievements, so that the penalties would be lighter.

As for Xiao Lu’s future compared to the prospects of the entire leadership team in the county, it’s not worth mentioning at all.

”Uncle Du, you wouldn’t go too far and ruin my career, would you?” Xiao Lu voiced his concerns upfront.

Lu Nanyong immediately glanced at Du Qiang, hearing the implication in Xiao Lu’s words.

Du Qiang rolled his eyes and said, ”Oh, Xiao Lu, that’s not fair from you, you’re putting me in a difficult position, aren’t you?”

”If I did this, what good would it do me, how could I personally stand in society later?”

”How could I manage myself in the hospital?”

”Of course, I’ll steadily send you to take the selection exam.”

Du Qiang said, ”Rest assured, your Uncle Du won’t harm you, didn’t do it last time, won’t do it this time either!~”

Wei Ying spoke up, ”Du Qiang, be mindful, Xiao Lu is my nephew too, and I’ve also had decades-long friendship with the Nan Family.”

”Right now, it was Xiao Lu who saved my life.”

”Brother... if I really wanted to harm Xiao Lu, could I say these words in front of you?”

Lu Nanyong continued the conversation, ”Xiao Lu, you should listen more to Director Du at that time, the current situation is indeed quite complex, Director Du’s considerations are more thorough.”

”Times change.”

Du Qiang, in a senior demeanor, said, ”Actually, it’s a pragmatic issue. Xiao Lu, you’re smart, you didn’t have to consider these issues before simply because you didn’t even qualify to enter the circle.”

”Wei Ying, Boss Lu, I’ll be straightforward with you.”

”Ultimately, it’s because you weren’t good enough, couldn’t even be considered a material.

”But when you’re excellent enough, your presence brings benefits to others.”

”Benefit is the core driving force behind over ninety-five percent of issues.”

”A person is most comfortable when neither rising nor falling, once you rise, you can’t help it, once you fall, you can’t help it either, no one listens to you, not even anyone cares about you.”

”If you say someone has bad intentions toward you, you won’t find it, they’ll morally bind you, lure you with money or other things, and you won’t find fault with it.”

Du Qiang spoke ruthlessly, yet no one dared to refute.

Lu Nanyong and Wei Ying both furrowed their brows, but Xiao Lu saw the confusion on his parents’ faces.

Different circles, different cognitions, different thinking patterns.

Lu Nanjia and Tian Hui had never considered this issue.

...

Du Qiang didn’t say how he’s going to ’handle’ Xiao Lu, but that night, Xiao Lu heard a backdoor rumor from Zhang Tiesheng.

With a conflicted tone, Zhang Tiesheng said, ”Xiao Lu, you’ve really ended up with a vendetta against Du Qiang!~”

Xiao Lu was reading literature, pretending not to know, ”Brother Zhang? What’s up again?”

”Wasn’t it said before that Director Du Qiang wanted to resign and go to Feng County People’s Hospital, but because something happened at the hospital recently, the hospital leaders are talking with Director Du right now!~”

”Director Du went to the hospital leaders’ office today and said he’s incompatible with you, you should go back to the orthopedics department, anyway, you can’t stay in the emergency department.”

”There’s either you in the emergency department but not him, or him, but not you.”

”What’s the situation between you two?”

”Didn’t it say last time that your relationship with him was pretty good? How come he’s flipping on you?”

Having me without him, or him without me.

Wow, if Du Qiang hadn’t given a heads-up, Xiao Lu would really suspect that he was deceived by Du Qiang, thinking Du Qiang was a smiling tiger, showing one attitude in front and another behind.

”Brother Zhang, I have no idea either. I’m on duty reading literature in the department.”

”Is Director Du crazy?”

Zhang Tiesheng said, ”Maybe his kid is about to get sentenced so thinking over and over, still can’t figure it out.”

Xiao Lu said, ”That’s got nothing to do with me, he can handle the knocking issue himself, why does it have to be me?”

”It’s not like it’s my son.” Xiao Lu felt he was being extremely hypocritical at the moment.

Zhang Tiesheng laughed, ”If Du Qiang did this, someone will surely knock on his door and ask him to do emergency surgery, he can’t shirk it.”

”I’m even thinking whether I should mess with him a bit, hasn’t he come to our place yet, and he’s already arrogant to the extreme.” Zhang Tiesheng suddenly said playfully.

Xiao Lu: ”...”

”Brother Zhang, it’s unnecessary. It’s up to people, and hospital leaders aren’t blind.” Xiao Lu said.

”Definitely not, just a few days ago they brought people to congratulate me, wouldn’t immediately just because of Director Du’s words, replace me.”

”I reckon, it’s more about giving me trouble in the future.”

Du Qiang had said that after entering the emergency department, he would find a way to temporarily take Xiao Lu out from clinical shifts, if it’s not Xiao Lu’s duty, he shouldn’t be working.

The reason is reasonable enough, everyone wants to do surgeries and make a living, why should you be the only one doing so many surgeries and taking so much main surgeon fee?

Granted, Xiao Lu’s skills were better, but everyone needs to live, surgeries need doing anyway, and Xiao Lu can’t do them all, so this proposal won’t meet with resistance.
