System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”Yes, I had discussed it with Teacher Cao before.” Lu Cheng replied.

”Alright then...” Cao Qianwei said helplessly, turning to leave.

After taking a few steps away, Cao Qianwei glanced back, and Lu Cheng was still sitting upright.

Cao Qianwei sighed again, continuing in his helplessness.

However, after a few more steps, Cao Qianwei noticed that another person had approached Lu Cheng, and they were talking and laughing together.

At a glance, it was clear this person wasn’t from Union Hospital, as he still wore a staff badge.

Cao Qianwei’s expression instantly turned cold, and from afar, he snapped a photo with his phone and sent it to the group chat: ”Find out who these two people are.”

Cao Qianwei was an old man, and there were many people in the photo.

No one dared to reply immediately.

However, a subordinate Cao Qianwei had asked earlier recognized Lu Cheng in the photo and circled Lu Cheng and Tong Yuan’an.

Once the circle was narrowed down, someone recognized them.

”This is Professor Tong Yuan’an from the Hand Surgery Department at Xiangya Hospital.”

”Yes, that’s Fatty Tong from the Hand Surgery Department at Xiangya Hospital...”

”Teacher Cao, do you want Tong Yuan’an’s phone number? I have it here. Do you want me to call him directly?”

...

Cao Qianwei could directly call a deputy professor of hand surgery to come over.

”Hand Surgery?” Cao Qianwei’s expression grew even more conflicted.

Was Lu Cheng in hand surgery?

This made him even more uncomfortable than Lu Cheng being willing to interact with Xiangya Hospital rather than with him.

A talented general surgeon going to Xiangya Hospital is better than someone who isn’t in general surgery but created a suturing technique for general surgery, right?

...

”Teacher Tong, okay, okay. I’ll come after I finish the competition.”

”I don’t think I’ll get a good score since it’s nerve suturing.” After hearing Tong Yuan’an’s intention, Lu Cheng immediately responded.

Tong Yuan’an thought carefully: ”That’s not necessarily true. If you can truly learn some skills in nerve suturing from Union Hospital, you might get a high score.”

”But if that’s the case.” Tong Yuan’an thought, if Lu Cheng got high scores in nerve suturing as well, wouldn’t that mean he was grabbing the top three spots by himself?

But what was Lu Cheng afraid of?

He never planned to stay in Xiang Province... at least not for now.

”No worries, just do your best in the competition and try to win more prizes.” Tong Yuan’an was inwardly cursing Chen Song’s brat!

He couldn’t curse Chen Song’s parents, as they were his elders, nor his wife, as she was his sister-in-law.

But the son he could curse!

Who the hell told you to teach Lu Cheng to enter competitions to make money? You idiot...

After both Cao Qianwei and Tong Yuan’an came and left, Lu Cheng’s name was finally revealed.

”Dr. Lu, so you’re Lu Cheng? I’ve heard your name too, in the group chat. Everyone’s been searching for you.” Said the person sitting in front of Lu Cheng.

”Dr. Lu, come, let’s add each other on WeChat.”

”Hi, I’m Lu Cheng, Lu from ’Ear East’, and Cheng from ’Success’.” Lu Cheng introduced himself.

”Dr. Lu, let me add you too.”

Soon, others came to add him on WeChat.

Lu Cheng hadn’t been recommended, suggesting he was not from any of the three famous hospitals in Xiangya, nor did he have anyone accompanying him, indicating he wasn’t from a big institution like the Provincial People’s Hospital. Otherwise, he would have been protected by the bosses.

Since he was an independent competitor and could achieve such good results, at least he could make acquaintances and become familiar faces.

The competition venue for nerve suturing was ready, and the host’s voice boomed: ”All contestants in the waiting area, please prepare and proceed to the competition venue in order...”
