System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”Spleen suturing?” Lu Cheng’s expression turned strange again after seeing what needed to be sutured.

[Unnamed Spleen Suturing Technique (Specialization 20/20)...]

...

The spleen suturing competition project is different from tendon suturing; it’s a level-breaking format. Basically, suturing treatment is conducted according to different types of spleen injuries, and the requirement is for the suturing to be neat and without blood leakage.

The more sutures done, the higher the score. There are a total of six sets of spleens; after suturing, a check for blood flow and leakage is done, with each set worth twenty points.

Usually, everyone falls before the fifth set, and points are awarded based on the degree of blood leakage.

With this format, the highest score isn’t capped at 100. If you’re capable enough, you can even score above 100.

But after all, it’s theoretical.

The solid organ competition track is never a matter for hand surgeons, so Lu Cheng didn’t see a familiar face—all were people he didn’t know.

So no one cared about Lu Cheng’s competition results anymore.

After an hour, Lu Cheng barely managed to complete the sixth set of spleen suturing and couldn’t guarantee the quality of his work. As the timing ended, everyone gradually stopped their operations.

The determination of the score was quite troublesome. The overall score would only be given halfway through the next group’s competition.

After the competition, Lu Cheng ran off since he still had a final nerve suturing competition to attend...

This semi-competitive, semi-play nature of the competition allowed repeated, multiple entries to brush up scores as long as you had the energy.

After all the participants’ initial competitions ended, later on, there were even people who could provide guidance on suturing operations, blending learning with competition.

Shortly after Lu Cheng left, his sutured spleen was sent backstage to the solid organ competition venue for measurement.

Lu Cheng’s sutured result was interesting, with a total of six spleen sets, one more than others.

It’s not uncommon to have one less, but having one more was a first.

[142 Lu Cheng]

”Do you know this person?” asked Professor Cao Qianwei from the Department of General Surgery at the Xiangya Second Hospital casually, noticing the spleen count.

Several master’s, doctoral students, and in-house doctors present all shook their heads.

”Continue the measurements,” instructed Professor Cao.

The first three sets of spleens were basically giveaway points; anyone with some skill could score sixty points. This was to balance the participants psychologically, so their scores wouldn’t look too bad.

”This Dr. Lu Cheng seems to have some ability, Teacher Cao,” said Li Zizhen, responsible for measurements, from the General Surgery Hepatobiliary Department.

”Continue.”

Li Zizhen handed over two more sets of data to the measuring device.

”Real-time blood flow score: 97%, blood leakage: 0! Comprehensive score: 20.”

”Real-time blood flow score: 95%, blood leakage: 0! Comprehensive score: 20.”

”What the heck!~” The results made Li Zizhen instantly feel stunned.

”Teacher Cao, come take a look,” said Li Zizhen, feeling shocked.

Professor Cao, who was sitting, immediately stood up upon hearing this and saw the measurement data at a glance.

In spleen suturing, there were no other requirements—just two main points.

The first is the blood flow score, and the second is the blood leakage rate. As long as these two points are done well, it’s spleen preservation surgery.

Li Zizhen looked at Professor Cao: ”Teacher Cao, what do we do about this? Should we give a hundred points?”

Li Zizhen’s voice was filled with awe.

”It seems it’s more than a hundred, right?” reminded a doctoral student beside Li Zizhen.

There is still one more, and even if it’s just worth two points, it probably exceeds a hundred.

With slightly disheveled hair, parted in the middle and tossed to the left, Professor Cao’s eyes glittered brightly: ”Continue measuring.”

The spleen was put on the machine, and the data read immediately.

”Real-time blood flow score: 83%, blood leakage: 0.1%! Comprehensive score: 17.”

”Teacher Cao?” At this point, everyone was in a panic.

More people stood up and gathered around.

Cao Qianwei also brushed his hair back forcefully: ”Publish the results. I just remembered something... Call Professor Hong An and ask him to come over and take a seat.”

”Li Zizhen, quickly make the call!” Cao Qianwei hurriedly rushed out.

Was it just 117 points?

No, this is the pinnacle of spleen preservation surgery!

Cao Qianwei immediately activated his power of heaven and earth and quickly gathered Lu Cheng’s contact number…

Meanwhile, Lu Cheng’s name was being highlighted once again, even more astonishingly than on the tendon suturing track…
