System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Not to mention a medical operation competition?

”Ah? Teacher Huang, you’re at the venue too? I’m planning to rest in my room; all my other competitions are in the afternoon.” Lu Cheng replied with a smile.

”So that’s what Tong Yuan’an meant yesterday, I didn’t realize! Dr. Lu, congratulations!”

”If your score is real, then our province is set for the national competition.” Huang Jun laughed along.

”Teacher Huang, I also had a bit of luck.” Lu Cheng replied.

Huang Jun said, ”This isn’t luck, even though Director Tan at Xiangya Hospital developed a tendon suturing technique, they don’t dare to give themselves full marks.”

”Could I ask where you learned this technique?”

”We have a few PhD students who want to compete; is there a chance if they cram last minute?”

”I didn’t learn it.” Lu Cheng thought for a moment, then replied.

”Uh~~~” Huang Jun’s voice was instantly choked.

Lu Cheng also remained silent.

Lu Cheng knows that in such a setting, if you want to hide your skills, Lu Cheng’s current status could be hidden in a coffin.

Only the big bosses have the privilege to hide their skills; everyone else can only honestly ”smile and nod”!

Don’t mention that good wine needs no bush.

”Dr. Lu, your way of speaking truly surprises me.” Huang Jun’s tone took on a respectful note.

No matter if Lu Cheng is boasting or not, Huang Jun cannot prove it.

If you can’t refute someone, then you take it as truth.

Creating an original suturing technique that surpasses all current techniques—that kind of ability deserves respect.

Without this rule, Huang Jun would never have an opportunity in his life.

”Teacher Huang, it was also good luck.” Lu Cheng felt quite refreshed at the moment.

Lu Cheng even suspected if Tong Yuan’an deliberately set him up yesterday to make him feel more clear-headed now.

After all, satisfaction without buildup isn’t satisfying at all.

”Congratulations, Dr. Lu, I hope you can perform steadily in the national competition and let our Hand Surgery Xiang Army shine in front of nationwide hand surgery peers.” Huang Jun didn’t mention asking Lu Cheng for learning opportunities.

It’s Lu Cheng’s own innovation; having not heard of it before proves Lu Cheng has grand plans.

Clinical setting doesn’t allow for showboating, but competition does.

During a competition, no matter how extreme your operations are, it’s acceptable, as the competition is the stage for showboating.

”...”

After hanging up the phone, Lu Cheng’s expression remained seemingly calm.

Though Lu Cheng’s phone didn’t ring repeatedly, several people who added him as a friend last night sent greetings to verify his identity.

Besides Dr. Zhou Jian from Xiangya Third Hospital and those from Xiangya Hospital…

The people at Xiangya Hospital all knew about Lu Cheng, so they weren’t surprised by the results this time.

Unlike those from Second Hospital and others, their indifference towards Lu Cheng stemmed from him not being one of ’their own’.

After the cooperation with Tong Yuan’an ends, Lu Cheng will head to the brother province to a brother unit, which ranks even higher than Xiangya Hospital.

Therefore, they can’t be too ’enthusiastic’ towards Lu Cheng to prevent him from thinking they’re too ’opportunistic’!

Of course, the chubby Tong Yuan’an was the first to call Lu Cheng.

”Why was your line still busy just now?” Tong Yuan’an’s voice was calm.

”Oh, Teacher Tong, it was Teacher Huang calling.” Lu Cheng replied.

”He moved so fast? Too bad we couldn’t see him!~”

”But even if we saw him it wouldn’t matter, with his face, clean or not, no one would know. Without hangnails, you can’t find the eyes.”

”When is your next competition?” Tong Yuan’an asked.

Lu Cheng replied, ”All in the afternoon, Teacher Tong, there are still too many participants.”

Tong Yuan’an said, ”Never mind, no matter what, you’re bound to secure the tendon suturing track spot.”

”This is expected, right?”

Lu Cheng paused for a moment: ”Should be, if there are no accidents.”

”Xiao Lu, the accident you have in mind won’t happen; Xiang Province keeps its honor. As long as you bring honor to the province, others can’t touch you!” Tong Yuan’an spoke with grandeur.
