System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

In the emergency operating room, in front of the sink.

Zeng Huanqi whispered, ”Lu Cheng, the orthopedics’ permission for tendon repair surgery has been completely revoked by the medical department.”

Lu Cheng was stunned, turning his head: ”Just because of what happened yesterday? Is it really that serious?”

”That wasn’t the first time!~” Zeng Huanqi hinted.

”The patient with the tendon injury in our department was operated on by Professor Tong himself, but was sent to our department for postoperative rehabilitation.”

”I later inquired from people in the operating room, and they said Peng Kun doing things on his own accord wasn’t the first time.”

”Several times, it wasn’t until he messed up halfway that he called Professor Tong. The patient’s tendon outside was also ruptured, so healing and recovery were relatively slow.”

Did he become obsessed with learning surgery? So rash?

Lu Cheng washed his hands seriously, saying no more.

If you don’t seek trouble, trouble won’t find you. Lu Cheng was too tired to comment, let alone kick someone when they were down.

But after thinking for a while, Lu Cheng added, ”Brother Zeng, if Tian Zhuang and Han Xiaoping start doing tendon repairs while you’re on duty, make sure to keep a close watch.”

”Don’t let history repeat itself.”

Zeng Huanqi chuckled, ”Tian Zhuang and Han Xiaoping are much more honest than Peng Kun, they won’t recklessly perform surgeries.”

Only recently did Zeng Huanqi completely understand why tendon repair was repeatedly taken up and put down by the orthopedics department. It’s indeed full of pitfalls.

Yet with this kind of condition, Lu Cheng waded through it step by step.

One can imagine the difficulty of going through those processes...

Back then, Lu Cheng was truly playing with his life, literally eating on the edge of a knife.

Fortunately, Zhang Tiesheng and I were smart enough to ”concede” in time after recognizing Lu Cheng’s talent.

”Xiao Lu, when we learn Spleen Preservation Surgery and Gallbladder Preservation Surgery, you need to teach us thoroughly!~ If there’s an issue, we might not even have a chance to remedy it,” Zeng Huanqi said seriously.

Lu Cheng joked in return, ”Brother Zeng, just don’t think I’m deliberately picking on you when the time comes.”

Zeng Huanqi raised his collar, ”That’s impossible; Xiao Lu, you’re not that kind of person.”

Lu Cheng triggered the air-sealed door of the operating room, and they entered one after the other, starting to disinfect and drape the patient together...

After Lu Cheng finished two extremely standard surgeries.

He immediately went to the surgical observation ward to start his rounds.

The big sister in bed 5 was also within Lu Cheng’s inspection scope. Although her skin had already started to heal, by her recovery progress, it was clear her condition no longer fell under ”tendon injury”!~

”Dr. Lu, is my situation okay?” The big sister smiled sincerely. To her, having such a condition treated locally saved a large sum of money, which was a blessing.

Lu Cheng nodded, encouraging her, ”You’re recovering quite well... Sister, everyone’s recovery is different, and physical conditions vary.”

”It doesn’t matter if it’s a bit slow, take it easy, we’re not in a rush.”

”As the saying goes, don’t be too hasty. We must emphasize gradual progress. Do you feel any pain now?”

The big sister shook her head, ”Not much pain, when I don’t exercise, there’s no feeling at all.”

”Is there any numbness...”

”Does your stomach feel uncomfortable?” Lu Cheng began his chatter.

Zeng Huanqi followed Lu Cheng, shaking his head repeatedly.

Doctors like Lu Cheng are quite popular with patients, but they could exhaust themselves. It seemed like a full-body examination interview...

Zeng Huanqi slipped away; he really couldn’t learn this.

Before the surgery, it was 13.1. Two surgeries resulted in 2.8 points earnings. Chattering for an hour reaped 0.4, about one-seventh of a surgery, small as mosquito meat.

When Lu Cheng got home, it was still early, not even twelve yet.

He arranged with Mu Nanshu the specific breakfast time for the next day and then went to wash up...

Long County, Scholar District.

Tong Yuan’an was in a group video, his chubby face serious, emphasizing loudly, ”I mentioned it!~”

”Director Tan, Master, I told you both!!”

”You said it wasn’t necessary?”

The other people in the video fell silent instantly...

There were four people in the video, Hand Surgery Director Tan Zhongyuan, Tong Yuan’an’s mentor Professor Zhou Yunhui, and Associate Chief Physician Han Yunshen.

Tong Yuan’an’s chubby face puffed up, expression serious, with a tinge of grievance, then explained, ”Director Tan, Master, reporting was all I could do with my authority!~”

Professor Zhou Yunhui brushed his gray hair, struggling to open his right eye so that both eyes barely looked the same size, his voice slightly hoarse:

”Director Tan, indeed Tong Yuan’an recommended Lu Cheng to me, I suppose he also privately told you, Director Tan.”

”At the time, I considered that he had only clinical talent, with no research foundation, never having been involved in research, so I didn’t take it seriously.”

”There are plenty of people quick to learn surgery in our department. Just look at Yunshen… Currently, besides functional reconstruction, what hand surgery procedure is he not proficient in?”

Professor Zhou Yunhui gave an example.

Associate Professor Han Yunshen, younger in age, only 33 this year and already at an associate senior level with a broad surgical range, even broader than senior associate professors like Tong Yuan’an.

However, Tong Yuan’an’s proficiency in specialized singular surgeries surpasses Han Yunshen in skill levels.

Tan Zhongyuan’s square, serious face showed struggle, with bushy brows and an earnest expression. Although he originally should have appeared quite elegant, his face looked slightly distorted:
