System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

”Brother, are you sure this is really the training class?” Lu Cheng swallowed, trying his best to hide his skepticism about the place’s appearance.

It’s not about the height of the mountain, but the presence of an immortal.

”Ah, yes! Teacher, this is indeed the special training classroom for nerve suturing in hand surgery.”

”Don’t judge by the poor decor; the teachers we’ve invited this time are really hard to get.”

”Professor Zhong Junyun, and Professors Lan Hualuo and Liu Huanglong from Zhongnan Hospital, you know them, right?”

The fat man, while cross-checking Lu Cheng’s basic information, frowned and looked up: ”Long County is under which city? I don’t think I’ve heard of it.”

The fat man was once a specialist doctor in the department. As the attending physician, managing patient records was a daily task.

Patients might come from various counties and cities within the province. Cao Kong considered himself familiar with all the counties in the province but admitted he couldn’t know every single one.

”Xiang Province, Xiangzhou, near Phoenix,” Lu Cheng said.

Few people know about Xiangxi, but mention the tourist spot--Phoenix, and everyone understands.

The fat man’s expression was startled and confused: ”From the neighboring province? Who brought you in?”

”This training class is mainly for...”

Lu Cheng replied, ”Is there a problem? I’ve paid the fee.”

The organizer of the training class could be a professor, but the teaching staff must include more than one person, with experts invited from within or outside the province to support the show.

Lu Cheng wasn’t familiar with Professor Zhong Junyun or Professor Xie Xiao, but he knew Professor Liu Huanglong and Professor Lan Hualuo from Zhongnan Hospital.

These two are hard to invite, so this training class is indeed luxurious at its core but plain in appearance.

”No, no, your spot is confirmed. Teacher, you definitely meet the requirements.”

”Alright, no problem; all this information matches up.”

”Our class starts in the afternoon, and registration is done in the morning. Once you get your materials, you can go rest.”

”Our training class offers ’shared hotel’ accommodations, two people per room. You just need your ID...” Cao Kong continued the process without much fuss.

Lu Cheng shook his head, ”No need, no need, I have friends here, not far from the hospital.”

”Oh, by the way, brother, I know this Professor Xie, but who’s this?” Lu Cheng pointed to a research associate named ’Xie Yuan’an’ and asked.

Cao Kong’s voice tightened slightly: ”This is Teacher Xie Yuan’an, also an employee of our Union Hospital, very skilled and has extensive teaching experience.”

Cao Kong deliberately emphasized ’extensive teaching experience,’ as if worried that Lu Cheng would suspect something fishy.

”Oh... alright.” Lu Cheng didn’t suspect anything and began organizing the study materials handed over by Cao Kong.

Altogether, there were three books: a small brochure for the training class, another book was a self-bound textbook with no title on the cover, but the content inside was professionally compiled.

The third book was about precautions during the study period: no drinking, no excessive drinking, no violation of basic regulations...

Mainly to prevent students from going out to have inappropriate fun during the study period.

As Lu Cheng was looking through the booklet, a young woman, about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, approached from a distance.

Her voice was gentle and crisp: ”Brother Cao, how many people have checked in?”

Lu Cheng turned his head to look at the newcomer.

She wore loose wide-leg trousers and a small blazer. Her short hair made her look neat and fresh.

”Teacher Xie, three teachers have signed in already.” Cao Kong replied.

While Lu Cheng was scrutinizing the woman, she also looked at Lu Cheng, hesitated for a moment, then stretched out her fair right hand, blurting out: ”Mark... a red mole.”

Lu Cheng had no idea what the other person was talking about.

However, by looking at her expression, Lu Cheng knew she was one of the instructors for this training class, Xie Yuan’an.

Lu Cheng stood up, speaking with a hint of charm: ”Hello, Teacher Xie, I’m Lu Cheng. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend this training class...”

The woman named Xie Yuan’an quickly approached, circling Lu Cheng unreservedly before tilting her head, completely lacking the demeanor of a teacher: ”Dr. Lu, you’re indeed tall and handsome, no wonder our little Mumu can’t stop thinking about you.”

”Xie Yuan’an, Mu Nanshu’s doctoral classmate and roommate!~” She boldly extended her right hand. After shaking hands with Lu Cheng, she directly revealed her identity.

Only then did Cao Kong suddenly realize: ”Teacher Xie, you know Teacher Lu? I was wondering why a teacher from a county in an out-of-state came over for training.”

The specifications for this training class were very high, and the price was quite reasonable, clearly a perk class.

The spots in this province were very tight, and it’s hard to justify giving a spot to someone from another province.

But if the teacher knows the student, that’s a different story.

Training classes aren’t ”fair and impartial” admission exams; they depend on the teacher’s whim to ’enroll’ students.

”Hello, Teacher Xie, I’m Lu Cheng. Lu as in land, Cheng as in success.”

”I’m Mu Nanshu’s classmate.” Lu Cheng also introduced himself with this.

Xie Yuan’an tilted her mouth: ”Just a classmate? Are you playing some jerk role here?”

”I’m telling you, Dr. Lu, little Mumu prepared a lot for you in the past, you won’t blame her, right?”

Lu Cheng glanced at Cao Kong and replied, ”Teacher Xie, this isn’t the place to discuss private matters.”

Xie Yuan’an nodded: ”Then come to the office with me. Anyway, you don’t have much to do in a while.”

As Xie Yuan’an moved, she again asked with her head tilted: ”Does Mu Nanshu know you’re in Han City?”

Lu Cheng, having been in Han City for eight years, replied according to the local custom: ”I just got here.”

”That’s more like it. I’m telling you, little Mumu had a tough time studying abroad. On the desk, she only had two picture frames, one of her mom and another of you, with that red mole.”

Lu Cheng: ”Teacher Xie, may I ask what ’red mole’ means?”

”White moonlight, we like to call it a red mole.” Xie Yuan’an had already led Lu Cheng into the office amid a slightly surprised look from Cao Kong.

Cao Kong took a good, serious look at the name Lu Cheng, imprinting it in his mind.

After turning on the air conditioning with a remote, Xie Yuan’an still politely asked: ”Dr. Lu, would you like water or coffee?”

”I’ve just started working here too, and I’m in charge of teaching, so I don’t have tea.”

”I’m fine with either, Teacher Xie, you don’t have to be so formal.” Lu Cheng said.

Xie Yuan’an said: ”Actually, Dr. Lu, you don’t need to be so formal with me. Little Mumu is younger than me, but when I went abroad, she’d already been there for a while.”

”During my time abroad, she showed me around for many things, and we share a really great relationship. I know everything about you and her.”

”Of course, there’s a bit of gossiping intent too. So, when I saw your name for the first time, I thought it might be you, and enrolled you without hesitation...”

”I didn’t expect it really was you.”

”Childhood sweethearts... are indeed special.” Xie Yuan’an smiled with an aunt-like expression.

People generally don’t believe in childhood sweethearts, but if they encounter such a story among their acquaintances, most hope for the best for them.

”But why did you end up at a county hospital?” Xie Yuan’an’s tone was slightly reproachful.

She’s not in the mood for tact, so she didn’t bother to avoid any taboos.
