Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 194: Chapter 194: Did I Become Famous? No, You Didn’t. Go Wash Up and Sleep.

Leaving the Sky-reaching Library, Yang Yu opened the System interface to check on something.

As long as the team interface was there, he could confirm Bai Jin and Iyas’s status anytime, anywhere.

”After following me for so long, if something happens, they should be careful enough to hold on until I can come and help.”

Convincing himself again, Yang Yu then took a step forward again at the entrance of the Sky-reaching Library.

With several tasks running in parallel, Yang Yu decided to start with the one about the other Monster Tamers.

The matter of finding Fuer, it was best to wait for Fuer to come to him. After all, going up and directly asking for money completely resembled the image of a thug, which would be extremely detrimental for future developments.

Only when others came to him on their own initiative could his own imposingness be highlighted.

Showing a reluctant expression to cooperate, regardless of each party’s worth, the person showing such an expression always had the upper hand in leading the cooperation.

When Tico mentioned that Fuer was looking for him, Yang Yu inquired about what Fuer wanted to do but never explicitly expressed willingness to accept his ”kindness.”

Even if Fuer invited him again through Tico, during casual chats, he would probably only get some non-committal answers.

To get more emoticons, Fuer would definitely send someone or come personally for negotiations.

Of course, if Fuer only sent someone to negotiate, Yang Yu couldn’t accept that; it would be a real loss of face, only a fool would do that.

If that situation arose, Yang Yu wouldn’t mind playing along with a threetime-visit scenario.

With a clear basic strategy in mind, what remained was how to make it easy yet not so easy for Fuer to find him.

On this point, Yang Yu already had a clear idea.

This plan, however, needed some time to wait.

Considering that he might still stay in the library for a while, waiting for this bit of time wasn’t a problem at all.

If Fuer, the person named such, didn’t find him or gave up the idea of finding him by the day he left, then it could only mean that Fuer wasn’t capable enough.

The opportunity to change the world was right in front of him; if he didn’t cherish it, Yang Yu couldn’t be blamed for not leaving any trace.

Of course, what Yang Yu offered was just an opinion on changing the world; in the end, whether or not he could change the world still entirely depended on his capabilities.

With his steps taken, Yang Yu randomly returned along the street.

His goal was clear, just like grabbing Shu Jing—just grab a few people on the street and let them help answer questions about other Monster Tamers.

In this world, Monster Tamers were rare professions, plus the library’s strict attitude towards Monster Tamers, once a Monster Tamer entered the library, it would surely stir up a turmoil, known to everyone.

Grabbing someone to ask questions was much more useful than checking it out by himself.

...

”emmmm... wait, thinking about it, haven’t I also become widely known?”

It was the first time anyone used Hani to defeat an examiner, Yang Yu felt that becoming famous was only a matter of time, but he had never thought that he was already famous.

”It was just an ordinary martial arts exam, yet it was fully booked, and people kept filling the stands, as if they all came just for me. Meaning, before the match yesterday, I was already widely known. Then...”

That was really great!

The reason for becoming popular, whether it was the emoticons on the zero-point paper or the last martial arts exam’s wonderful performance, wasn’t important.

What was important was how to maintain and make use of this popularity.

This perfectly matched Yang Yu’s next plan.

Suddenly, Yang Yu saw himself entering the library to acquire knowledge while everyone looked on with admiration, this vision significantly boosted his confidence.

His gaze landed on a Star-level Member who was headed towards the library; Yang Yu walked towards the library member with firm and resonant steps,

”Excuse me, I have a few things I’d like to understand about.”

With his lips slightly lifted up 45 degrees, Yang Yu brushed a lock of hair from his face, revealing a sunny smile and asked his question in a friendly tone, standing tall with an air of integrity.

However, the response he received was a look of ”who are you?” from the person, accompanied by a cold ”What is it?”

Could it be that my approach was wrong?

Slightly puzzled, Yang Yu didn’t show it on his face and continued politely,

”Sorry to bother you. I’m looking to find out information about other Monster Tamers in this library.”

”Are you this year’s freshman?”

”Yes, my name is Yang Yu. I just passed the exam yesterday and became a member of the library.”

”No wonder you look unfamiliar. Since you are a new student, it’s not impossible to answer your question.”

Watching the Star-level Member’s indifferent attitude, Yang Yu’s heart sank from the heights of the universe to the depths of a valley, wondering, were all my previous actions just wishful thinking?

It would still take a few weeks to gain fame, which made Yang Yu breathe a sigh of relief.

But he quickly regained his smile, regardless of whether or not he was famous, the Star-level Member was still willing to answer his questions out of consideration for him being a freshman.

”What was your question again?”

”Are there any Monster Tamers in this library?”

”Monster Tamers?” The Star-level Member thought for a moment and responded, ”In the last five years, it seems only one Monster Tamer passed the exam. As for others, because the library experienced a disturbance caused by a Monster Tamer nineteen years ago, basically no Monster Tamers are left. So if you want to find a Monster Tamer, you probably can only look for her.”

”Who are you referring to when you say ’her’? Can you tell me?”

”It’s not nice to gossip behind people’s backs, but telling you doesn’t hurt. Her name is Sakura Fall. Wulas, and she has a contract with a huge wolf. I’m not sure about the exact breed, but I know its name is Lotcar.

She joined the library almost three or four years ago, but she has never been seen in the library, just busies herself with odd jobs every day and then goes back to her villa to take care of the demon. Because she’s somewhat aloof, it’s hard to become friends with her.

You’re this year’s freshman, I advise you, you better not get involved with her either; I’ve heard that demon can become very dangerous when mad.”

He got quite a lot of information in one go.

Yang Yu kept everything the Star-level Member had said in his mind, and then asked, ”You said this isn’t a secret, so you should know where she lives specifically.”

The Star-level Library Member looked at Yang Yu with an unreasonable expression, ”I know, but didn’t I just say it’s best not to get involved with her? Don’t let it go in one ear and out the other.”

Yang Yu simply took out his Contribution Card, ”I’ll give you a tip. If you think it’s enough, please tell me everything you know.”
