Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 160: Chapter 160: The hardness and weight of this plastic imitation stone have already broken through the sky.

”Ola Ola! Take this, adventurer, you’ll pay for your greed!”

Sakuragi Hanamichi’s toy Sharp Spear, crazily stabbing toward Yang Yu like chopsticks.

”Massive, massive! You can’t defeat an adventurer who stakes his life for treasure!”

Yang Yu easily avoided Sakuragi Hanamichi’s attacks with his superior speed, but he did not choose to fully dodge them. Instead, he let most of the spears hit him, deliberately creating an evenly matched atmosphere with cries of pain.

Initially, Iyas supported Yang Yu with arrows, but after noticing that Yang Yu and Sakuragi Hanamichi were just fooling around like children, she instantly lost the desire to continue supporting him.

Watching Yang Yu’s shameless acting, she even wanted to shoot a few arrows at Yang Yu’s back to add some difficulty for him.

After a while, Yang Yu and Sakuragi Hanamichi finally decided the winner.

Yang Yu won without any suspense.

However, he breathed a sigh of relief, stressingly emphasizing the hard-earned victory.

Stabbing the toy Sharp Spear into the ground of the Treasure Box, Sakuragi Hanamichi bent forward like a clay pot, ”I have to admit, you’re stronger now, but don’t get cocky. One day, I’ll return from Hell stronger than ever, and then it’ll be your doom. I will be back!”

”Is that your last words? If you can do it, try it! It’s about time you told me the real location of the Treasure Box!” Holding a sword, Yang Yu’s eyes filled with respect.

”Hmph! No harm in telling you. The real Treasure Box is at the end of the seventh floor loop maze. Even ten of me couldn’t reach there. But you might...”

Before he could finish, Sakuragi Hanamichi shattered like a broken vase, turning into pink rubble.

”What a delightful battle.” Yang Yu approached the Treasure Box slowly and closed it, ”I will never forget you. May glory be with you.”

He sprinkled some soil on the Treasure Box, erected a marker for it, and prayed to Sakuragi Hanamichi with his hands together.

After a while, Yang Yu slowly stood up, looking relaxed, and turned to Iyas, ”Now that we know the secret passage and the location of the Treasure Box, let’s go!”

During the fight, Sakuragi Hanamichi had revealed the location of the secret passage.

It was left by the Hani when they built this underground maze.

To construct the underground maze, the Hani had to keep digging downwards and expanding space, and then continuously transport materials, constructing numerous complex corridors.

To ensure efficiency and the smooth progress of the project, the Hani left a tunnel specifically for transporting soil blocks and materials.

When the entire underground city was completed, the Hani did not fill in the tunnel but decided to keep it, for it could be useful if the underground maze ever needed repairs due to battle damage.

The Hani’s life was like playing house, but that did not mean they could not concentrate on their tasks.

Playing house is also a skill, and only with proper equipment can one enjoy playing house.

In order to play house well, these Hani were skilled at everything from casting and building to painting and sculpting, a quite impressive race in some respects.

Unfortunately, they were not quick-witted and particularly innocent, which gave Yang Yu the opportunity to take advantage.

Repeating his old trick, he used a pebble to catch the Hani’s attention again. Yang Yu reached the spot pointed out by Sakuragi Hanamichi and found a distinctive rock on the wall, pressing them in sequence.

The wall trembled, and the bricks moved side to side, revealing a passage before Yang Yu. Entering it, the entire passage was illuminated by special Magic Stone Plates.

The entire passage consisted of square platforms and sloped ramps at certain angles. On the center of the platforms were built-in speed bumps to prevent carts filled with materials or soil blocks from going out of control, showing thoughtful construction.

”The upward slope leads to the third floor, while the downward slope goes all the way down. Can it reach the bottom?”

At the end of the passage, plunged into darkness and without a trace of fear, Yang Yu, accompanied by Iyas, continued downwards.

Having come all this way, he was not overly concerned about sticking strictly to the tasks. He intended to head to the deepest level first to catch a glimpse of the Boss of Hani Maze, identify its attributes, and then, with sufficient attributes next time, he could come directly to challenge and claim the Skill.

Since the Boss was known to originate from Hani, Yang Yu wasn’t too worried about any unexpected dangers. He crossed over the fifth, sixth, and seventh platforms, arriving directly at the last one.

Just as he reached the end, a new task surprisingly popped up on Yang Yu’s panel.

[Underground City Strategy Task: [Magic Hall]

Task Requirements: Conquer the underground city and defeat the Guardian on the last floor.

Task Reward: Experience 50000, Gold Coin 100000, [Enlightenment Orb], free attribute points +100, Skill Points +50]

Hmm?

Magic Hall? Isn’t this supposed to be Hani Maze?

Stunned for a second or two, Yang Yu suddenly realized something.

Scarjade had once mentioned that the mechanism behind the underground city is exceedingly complex. It can be basically understood that each underground city is like a seed stored in a warehouse that doesn’t belong to this world.

When the time is ripe, these seeds will pop out of the warehouse one by one, enter this world, take root and germinate, branching out below the surface, gradually growing toward the ground surface, and finally maturing to attract countless harvesters.

If this seed by chance falls in an unfavorable place... what would happen if there’s a rock pressing down on the seed?

There are three possible scenarios.

The first scenario, the seed’s inherent strength is immense enough to completely overturn the rock, seizing full ownership of the original underground maze, and remodeling it into a maze that fits its designated appearance. This is why some mazes revive.

The second scenario, the seed’s power equals the rock’s force. Assuming the rock is not massive, the seed could bypass the existing maze and develop another maze next to the existing underground city, resulting in a double-yolk egg scenario.

In the third scenario, where the power of the seed is significantly inferior to that of the rock, if no one conquers the existing maze, the new maze is very likely doomed to die in the womb.

This place is not a real maze, but thanks to Hani’s meticulous construction, this maze was remarkably realistic, akin to placing a plastic fake rock on the seed.

Without its knowledge, the seed took root and sprouted, developing upward until it inadvertently bumped into something it shouldn’t have.

From the task, some information about this new maze could be gleaned.

The name of this maze is [Magic Hall], clearly indicating that it primarily focuses on magic, and resting above it is a maze built by Hani, an absolute counter.

The hardness and weight of this plastic fake rock have already skyrocketed, virtually representing the world’s most advanced molecular material.

With these thoughts, Yang Yu looked at another task on his panel, a smile spreading across his face, his mind filled with somewhat wicked ideas.

[Task: [Unconventional Tamer]

Task Requirements: Utilize unconventional methods to conquer ten underground cities [1/10]

Task Reward: Experience ???? (Determined by the quality of the conquered underground city), Ten lottery draws (all Rare and above quality), Title: Maze Rule Breaker (The man who makes all underground cities tremble, when conquering underground cities, +10% team damage, +10% Experience)]
