Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Girl, are you asking for a challenge?

Yang Yu’s movement abruptly stopped, just as his gaze locked onto the young girl, her gaze was also fixed on him.

Umm...

Damn, why is she also here!

Calm down, Tico is a genius affiliated with the All Things Library, and Latis is the Third Princess of the Luoze Empire, so it’s normal for them to have some interactions.

For some reason, it’s also normal for them to come here together looking for Chilom.

The important thing is, what should I do now? At that moment, because that idiot Iyas didn’t think twice before drawing her bow, I suddenly transformed into a fan of Tico.

Tico, delighted to know she still had a fan like me, was ecstatic. If I now try to bluff my way through this, or simply ignore Tico and leave, the consequences would be unimaginable once I am exposed.

Oh well, since I’m meant to act, I might as well follow through to the end.

With resolve, Yang Yu took light steps, moving three steps as if they were two, and reached Tico’s side,

”Lady Tico, I really didn’t expect us to meet again. I suppose this must be a blessing from heaven. You are as beautiful as ever today, and seeing Lady Tico makes me feel as if I’m basked in the warm breeze of March, warming me up unconsciously...”

While Yang Yu was incessantly expressing his feelings, he observed Tico’s expression, only to see her tilting her head in confusion,

”Um, who are you... Do we know each other?”

...

...

Damn, she didn’t recognize it was me.

Then why was she staring at me all this time? Could it be because I added too much charm, and after dressing up, looked too handsome, which is why she kept staring?

Well, I’m sorry... my ass.

This is simply a grand-scale disaster, like an adult driving a child’s toy car speeding around a sharp curve, spinning 360 degrees in the air, and plunging headfirst into a filthy ditch.

The air around suddenly froze until Tico saw the blond Iyas and suddenly remembered Yang Yu, breaking the awkwardness,

”Could it be, you’re that adventurer I met in the forest that day? My... my fan...?”

Seeing Iyas reminded her, and if I were truly her fan, I’d probably quite her fandom.

Yang Yu was speechless, but now all he could do was grit his teeth and admit, ”Yes, it’s me. It’s so fortunate to see Lady Tico again.”

Tico blushed slightly, lowered her enormous blue magic hat, and said shyly, ”There’s no need to exaggerate, although I’m quite pleased!”

”Lady Tico, although I would like to talk more with you, I have some urgent matters to attend to and must leave now. Hopefully, we will have another chance to talk in the future.”

”Okay, sure.”

With Tico’s permission, Yang Yu quickly walked away, eager to escape this complicating situation.

Out of nowhere, a sharp female voice rang out, a chilling gaze like Ice Cones piercing his spine, immobilizing him.

”Since you’re here, there’s no need to rush away. It’s rare to meet your idol, and leaving so quickly would sadden your idol.”

This woman...

Yang Yu maintained his smile as best he could, ”Miss, or rather, Princess of the Luoze Empire, I really do have some urgent matters to take care of.”

”May I boldly ask what it is? Surely it isn’t something shady or unspeakable?” Latis snapped her fan shut, which sounded more like a forthright accusation than a question, ”Considering you talked with Uncle Chilom for so long while making us wait. And now you hurry off... are you hiding something?”

”What would I have to hide?” Yang Yu turned around, smiling widely: ”I just want to leave quickly to register for the Library examination, as my companion is waiting.

Lady Tico might remember, in my team there was a girl with messy hair, I and she were trying to get into the Library this year.

To prevent the slots from selling out, that’s why I’m in such a rush.”

Tico nodded, smoothly rounding off the conversation as led by Yang Yu, ”I indeed remember there being a girl with messy hair in your team, because she was quite distinctive, I remembered her right away.”

So, you remembered Iyas and Bai Jin but not me?

That’s it, if I really were her fan, it would really be over.

”However, it’s the first time I heard you guys are trying for the Library.” Tico interlaced her fingers, her smile sweet, ”If you pass the examination, we’ll have more time to spend together.”

Witnessing this, Latis got a bit jealous. She had spent quite some time establishing a friendship with Tico, and here this unknown young man had opened Tico’s heart so effortlessly after just a couple meetings.

Moreover, according to the Chilom Consortium and guarda’s testimonies, it was their first meeting with this young man. In that first meeting, the young man talked with Chilom for over two hours.

It was unimaginable for Latis, driven by curiosity, she eavesdropped on some conversations between Yang Yu and Chilom, most of which she didn’t understand, it sounded like cooking but not quite, especially when she heard Yang Yu say there’s a machine that can turn strawberries into grape flavor, which was unbelievable.

Turning strawberries into grape flavor, what’s the point of that? If you want grapes, just eat grapes!

None of this is important.

What’s important is that Chilom agreed to see an outsider and not her.

This really made Latis seethe with anger.

Even though she wanted to casually greet Yang Yu and figure out what was so special about this man, she couldn’t help but let a bit of aggressive anger slip into her conversation.

”So you intended to sign up for the Library. There are always spots left in the Library examination every year, in a few days the number of people will peak, there’s no difference going today or tomorrow, you’re not in such a rush. Since you’ve already talked for so long, staying a few more minutes won’t hold you back. Or is it that you have ulterior motives, and going to the Library is just an excuse. I happen to know you asked Uncle Chilom for five million. What do you need all that money for?”

What does that have to do with you?

Not giving a single dime, let alone assigning any task. And now this questioning, does she want to confront me?

By the looks of it, if I don’t address her concerns, she won’t let me go easily.

I reckon I don’t look like a suspect, truly clueless about what bothered her.

Oh well, since she requests a showdown, bring it on!

It’s been a long while since I’ve sparred with someone, and I definitely won’t back down just because she is the Third Princess of the Luoze Empire.
