The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 550: Chapter 550: Mr. Norton’s student is at this level_1

She didn’t know why Ivy Wilmar had suddenly brought this up, and her heart fluttered with uncertainty.

She watched as the look of discontent on Ivy’s face was replaced by one of hatred, her expression turning icy as she stood up, straightened her fox fur shawl, and with an icy glare and pursed lips said, ”You’ve been accepted into Tsinghua University, which we certainly should celebrate. How about this, I’ll invite Professor Derliand to join us for a meal. You’ll be studying finance with him in the future—build a good relationship with him, as it will be beneficial for your future.”

Ghania Quinlan’s eyes widened in surprise for half a second before she realized what was being said, and she immediately replied with great joy, echoing, ”Thank you, auntie!”

”Hmm,” Ivy had always looked down on Ghania’s sycophantic and ingratiating demeanor, but ever since this incident, she found Ghania’s meek and clever ways much more bearable than the arrogant attitudes of some. At least Ghania wouldn’t bite.

With that in mind, she slightly lifted her chin, and looking at the girl’s surprised face, she said slowly, ”There’s another thing I haven’t had time to tell you about.”

Ghania stood obediently to the side, turned her head, and asked softly, ”What is it, auntie?”

Ivy glanced at her out of the corner of her eye, noting that she had dressed up carefully today, in clothes by Seven, with delicate and pretty features. Although she wasn’t as exquisitely flamboyant as Nathalie Quinlan, she at least had the look of a well-bred maiden and was presentable.

Without beating around the bush, Ivy got straight to the point: ”Last time, the Beijing TV station organized a popular science program on music that was very successful. I heard they intend to hold a music conference, and Lighten Chaser will be there. If you can outperform Lighten Chaser in piano, Mr. Norton will definitely regard you with new respect.”

Her eyes intensely focused on Ghania, it was as if she could see right through Ghania’s soul. With a mocking curl of her lip, she tidied her clothes and said casually, ”Don’t you want to become Mr. Norton’s student? This is your best chance. Go back and practice the piano diligently, and I will do my best to help you make the connection!”

”...” Ghania was pinching the palm of her hand, hardly able to believe that such a good opportunity would come her way.

Ivy looked at her with a cold expression and quickly said, ”What, you don’t want to participate?”

”This music conference only has two spots from the piano association, and by the rules, you wouldn’t normally qualify for one of our spots. But I’m going to pull some strings for you and give you one. If you’re not interested, forget it.”

How could Ghania possibly not be interested? Upon hearing Ivy’s slightly displeased tone, she hurriedly expressed her stance: ”I am interested! Auntie, I’m very interested!”

”I was just so excited that I couldn’t react right away, which is why I didn’t answer immediately,” Nathalie explained, reining in the ambition and excitement in her eyes, biting her lip and speaking softly: ”Auntie, I want to participate...”

Seeing her anxious to explain, Ivy curled the corner of her mouth in a high-and-mighty gaze down at Ghania, her tone cold: ”Glad you want to. I will reserve one of the association’s spots for you. Make sure you prepare well and don’t disappoint me!”

She didn’t have a high opinion of Ghania, nor did she think Ghania’s talents could be cultivated to any significant degree.

But she loathed Nathalie.

There’s an old saying that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Nathalie wasn’t fond of Ghania, always liked to compare herself to Ghania, right?

Ivy was intent on elevating Ghania to a height even Nathalie couldn’t reach with a jump!

Being Mr. Norton’s student— that would be the height!

Meanwhile, elsewhere.

In the villa’s second floor.

Nathalie Quinlan had gone straight to her room upon her arrival and had just finished her shower. Changing into a set of clean and fresh clothes, she stepped out of the bathroom and caught a glimpse of her phone’s screen flashing on the bed.
