The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 505: Chapter 505: I Think Miss Quinlan Wants Jecksen Wilmar Dead_1

Amadeus Yancey paid him no mind, waiting for Nathalie Quinlan to send a message.

All he heard was the ’ding’ of the phone.

The message came quicker than he expected.

Nathalie Quinlan sent him a document.

”Amadeus, did Ms. Quinlan send a message?” Alfred Garland saw him looking at the phone and craned his neck to take a peek, muttering, ”Does she really have something on Mr. Wilmar? Impossible.”

In his heart, he didn’t believe Nathalie Quinlan actually had any fatal leverage over Jecksen Wilmar, at most a collection of trivial matters.

However, as soon as he glanced at it, his eyes widened more than a bull’s, and his mouth involuntarily gaped open as he blurted out uncontrollably, ”Damn, Amadeus, this... this is too intense.”

He skimmed through the content Nathalie Quinlan sent over, his face uncertain of what expression to wear to appear normal, only mumbling from the pit of his stomach, ”I... I think, the Wilmar family just wants to make Ms. Quinlan cry, but Ms. Quinlan wants Jecksen Wilmar dead!”

The Wilmar family just wanted to make Ms. Quinlan cry, but Ms. Quinlan wanted Jecksen Wilmar dead... Amadeus Yancey had also finished reading the document on his phone. His expression was calmer than Alfred Garland’s exaggerated one, but his heart was equally shocked. He hadn’t expected Nathalie Quinlan to have these things, and anything from the document could have the Wilmar family and Jecksen Wilmar in a frenzy for quite a while. She didn’t just have one thing, she had an entire folder.

He casually checked the size of the folder.

1G.

Alfred Garland was right, the content here was enough to cost Jecksen Wilmar his life, but...

Amadeus Yancey’s eyes were extremely dark as he suddenly asked him, ”What is the Wilmar family doing right now?”

Alfred Garland was still preoccupied with the document on his phone. Scratching his head, he replied, ”The Wilmar family isn’t doing much... they just cancelled Ms. Quinlan’s school registration before, and there’s been no new information since. Probably because Simon Cadwell is standing in their way, for the time being, they can’t do anything to Ms. Quinlan. Oh right, I just remembered something.”

”Speak.” Amadeus Yancey’s voice was very low, the kind that vibrated the eardrum pleasantly, like a stream trickling by.

Alfred Garland had nearly gotten distracted but pinched the palm of his hand to refocus before saying, ”The president of Tsinghua University somehow found out about Ms. Quinlan’s cancelled registration and is trying to get it restored, demanding the school to reinstate her.”

He glanced at his boss’s reaction, swallowing hard, and continued, ”But the Wilmar family, because of Jecksen Wilmar’s affair, is clinging on tight and hasn’t let go. Both sides are still at a stalemate, and Ms. Quinlan’s records can’t be pulled up right now either.”

That is to say, the cancellation of the school registration was still in effect...

Given the Wilmar family’s relentless posture, they didn’t seem willing to ’let go’ of Ms. Quinlan.

Amadeus Yancey had his hands clasped on the armrest, his head leaning back, his body reclining, half-closing his eyes as if resting.

Alfred Garland didn’t know what he was thinking and didn’t dare disturb him, falling silent.

After a while, Alfred Garland suddenly heard him speak with a raspy low voice, ”Don’t rush to the airport just yet, have them change direction.”

Amadeus Yancey was half-lidded; his calm demeanor could easily be mistaken for someone with a very good temper.

But looking closely at his eyes, one could see the suppressed fierceness beneath, the corners of his eyes tinged with a hint of red, clearly not a man to be trifled with.

Amadeus Yancey fiddled with the Buddhist beads on his wrist, over and over, as if this action could calm his mind. Yet his narrowed eyes were both cold and ruthless, generating a terrifying sense of oppression.

”I’ll pay a visit to the Wilmar family myself.”
